If you can acces download mode, you have no problem. Download from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com an original firmware and flash with odin.

Maybe your partition is broken. Search for am offiial firmware here at xda with PIT file and flash that. Be aware you will lose all your data

What's your carrier?
Okay very simple... you need to flash the stock room for your phone. It has to be the exact model for your phone. You can acess this file from sam mobile. Once downloaded use odin to flash it on to your phone with a computer.

dont panic buddy
first of all :
power off your phone
at the same time push these buttons : power + volume down + home
when blue screen comes out push the volume up button
then it is DOWNLOAD MODE or ODIN MODE right now
so u may be able to use odin v3.10+ to flash the stock rom on your phone without any problem
How did you end up flashing a Moto G4 ROM through Odin?
Odin only accepts tar files, and Moto ROMs usually come zipped and need to be extracted and flashed through fastboot or through TWRP if they're custom ROMs.

That's the real question
Search the right Rom for your country here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935F/
1) Create a account and download the rom
2) Extract the downloaded rom with WinRAR
3) Download Odin and insert the 4 files in the right spot inside Odin
4) Boot phone into download mode, connect it to the pc and click flash

I'm still confused, how could someone actually do that? And then follow up by flashing another incorrect ROM for the flat S7 instead of the S7 edge. And then go on to say that he can't find ANY firmwares for the S7 edge? Really?
Something really shady about this thread.
Says he's on the S7 Edge, but his sig says sent from a flat S930F S7.
If he's 12 (391 posts too), then I'm Donald Trump.
Why would you flash a Moto G ROM on your S7E? Surely it doesn't take too much realisation to know that it wasn't going to end well? Just flash the .pit file if you can still access download mode. If you can't, then a service centre will be the only way.

Very easy to fix. You'll need to flash the stock rom for that phone using odin. Get the stock rom from from samobile and there are many tutorials online
The problem is the kid kept flashing random rom. Please make sure the correct rom. Maybe uploading the box's picture would help.

Seems like it.
1. There's no way to flash non Samsung firmware through odin.
2. No s7 edge firmwares? Really? Updato and sammobile, have all of them.

I have normal vibrations in twrp, but in the system the vibrations become quiet beeps, is there anyway to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
Yeah read the instructions for the Rom you flashed and try again while actually following said instructions....

Same as the marshmallow times
How you did that? Odin? No system.img fail?
oooh very excited by this.
I cant risk it yet but would love to hear of more experiances
My n920i has been flashed with n920g since marshmallow.... I've received all the OTA updates, including the nougat one. No issues to report whatsoever.
WIth a SM-N920G in Guatemala, i got fail at system.img, had to download stock rom 6.0.1 to get the phone back again. PDA N920GUBS3BPI4 / CSC N920GUWM3BPI1.

any issues with samsung pay or the US carriers?
This will wipe every thing but Knox counter is intact.
If you get system img fail, use the 4 filed method first to changes SM-N920I to SM-N920G firmware.
Got a link to the 4 files?

Hey just a question, I know you changed yours from lollipop 920i to MM 920g (last year)....but when you upgraded to nougat were you already on the Indian marshmallow rom?
I'm asking because I'm thinking about doing mine now but I'm already on AU MM And I'm not looking to soft brick mine.
From what I've read in the S6 forums I think the problem with everyone also failing on sys.img is because of 6.0.1 secure bootloader only allowing matching regional phones to update properly. I think that might be preventing the change from AU to INS MM also.
Has anyone successfully downgraded from 6.0.1(with all the current security updates) to 5.1.1?
Thoughts?
I tried this method using 4 files, System.img fail error. tried to downgrade to Lollipop using 4 files, same System.img fail error. Bummer

This seems to be common. I know there's been a few posts saying just use the 4 files but it's not working.
False Alert

"After being tested by XDA Senior member me2151, it turns out cross region flashing does work. Prince Comsy Odin is working, but we can not test if the factory binary flashing will hard brick your phone. So flashing US unlocked onto a US carrier device should work."

Oh, so Verizon to T-Mobile swap is fine.
Thanks for the heads up!
Whilst your post is is informative, I hope you will excuse me being a little pedantic, if the phone is "hard bricked" it can't be fixed and conversely if it cab be fixed then generally that would be considered "soft bricked".

So far it CAN'T be fixed, so for now consider it a hard brick.
And stop arguing semantics when we are trying to actually help people and warn them before they brick their phones.
Very scary. Prevents Comsey ODIN from working?

So does it apply to the international model too? If I get a G955F from Germany and flash a XEU firmware, it will brick?
I Have a doubt here. I am in a unlocked tmobile firmware on oreo beta. I was planning to flash unlocked firmware to it. so my question is
1) If i flashed unlocked US firmware G955U1 to G955U now, will it hardbrick after BLv3 update.
2)If i flashed now and updated to Blv3 after G955U1 will it be stuck to that firmware forever?
Thanks
xdanilva said:
This applies to all American/Snapdragon and Exynos S8, S8+ and Note 8 models once BLv3 comes out for those models.
If you flashed a out of region firmware such as G955W, G955F, G955FD etc.
Flash back to your original model firmware or you'll be hard bricked. I'll post updates about the hard brick part. There's some news developing about how to fix the hard brick.

How to find out the Bootloader Version?
If it says 3 before your baseband number. Example from note 8 3BRA8. The note 8 already got patched.

1.) Yes
2.) You would get a non standard hardbrick. You would be stuck in Emergency Download Mode. You can't flash back to g955u even with standard Odin.

Another question please.
I have 955FD model and i have flashed DBT 955F firmware.
As i can see in sammobile there is 955FD firmware and it's the same as 955F.
I will be ok or not?

Does this only affect U.S. models or will this affect all models? Also, does this mean there will be no more rooting these devices or can you still root them as long as your phone didn't originally have v3? I.e., the modders can still build versions of the new modified firmware with v3 replaced with the old one? Or will those of us who want to keep our root have to just never ever update (through flashing)?
I'm sorry... this means we can't install custom firmware after this ? what i can do now to prevent this ? i have 955FD and not installed custom firmware or root yet... i want to be able to install custom firmware ... what can i do ?
Seems that Samsung reads XDA as well.... Targeted "security patch"... ?
Sent from my SM-G955W ??
What could be the reasons for anyone to flash another region firmware / ROM? Just curious.
Anyway im safe because i use G955F ROMs (my device is G955F) from the beginning and plan to do so in future, right?

Although an excellent choice, but I bought a Pixel 2 XL from Google.
Hello everyone,
I own a Galaxy S7 edge which is currently on the G935FXXS4ESC5 Oreo stock rom, I think I have understood that the 4 (in bold) is the version of the bootloader, I also believe that one can not put a stock rom with a lower bootloader, but what about the custom rom ?
When installing a custom rom we are asked via the aroma Installer, if we want to update the bootloader (and the modem) or if we want to leave it as is, can we suddenly install a custom rom with a lower bootloader by choosing to leave it as is ?
Example: switch from this stock rom Oreo bootloader 4 to a custom rom nougat (in this case the Batman rom, I had a very good battery outfit with this rom)
Thank you for your replies hoping to have been clear in my request
