Rom custom and Bootloader - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello everyone,
I own a Galaxy S7 edge which is currently on the G935FXXS4ESC5 Oreo stock rom, I think I have understood that the 4 (in bold) is the version of the bootloader, I also believe that one can not put a stock rom with a lower bootloader, but what about the custom rom ?
When installing a custom rom we are asked via the aroma Installer, if we want to update the bootloader (and the modem) or if we want to leave it as is, can we suddenly install a custom rom with a lower bootloader by choosing to leave it as is ?
Example: switch from this stock rom Oreo bootloader 4 to a custom rom nougat (in this case the Batman rom, I had a very good battery outfit with this rom)
Thank you for your replies hoping to have been clear in my request

Q. It is possible ? Should I move to g900f threads ?

Curious - can you give me the output of "cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid" from Terminal Emulator?
Also - try flashing this in Odin.
I dont why it was not working but I tried via efs and this is I have 150xxxxxxxxcccccc510xxx

I'm currently using CM13 and then installed boeffla kernel. After the install mine changed to 900f. I just installed the freshest nightly and kept the stock kernel. Mine now reads 900v.

I was trying to see whether you had a Samsung or Toshiba eMMC. I believe (I may be wrong) that only Verizon variants had the Toshiba eMMC.

there are 2 possibilities about flashing g900f firmware on your g900v:
1) it will refuse to flash
2) you will hardbrick
as I said earlier, please flash this to check whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked.

The G900F has an unlocked bootloader - the G900V does not. If it does flash, you can root if you want. If it doesn't flash - all your stuff will still be there.
By the way - there is no such thing as too many questions

I meant that should get rid of the G900F files.
If there are any adverse effects, flash PB1 using odin. Do you know how to (if you want to?)

Now I understand the situation.
I would NOT attempt to unlock the bootloader, just use FlashFire, unless you want AOSP. Try flashing a G900F rom on yours. I don't see why it would not work

Hey buddy, wanted to thank u for the rom suggestion. This rom is flying on my phone! I just wish I could get the google assistant from the pixel phones working. The google now on tap won't work, I believe this is why the assistant is failing. Long press on home does nothing. I been trying to find a fix with no luck.

Only Official Released Binaries Are Allowed To Be Fashed Samsung SM-G950F

Hello!
I mess up by flashing my Samsung S8 SM-G950F, now it stuck in booting and red text "Only Official Released Binaries Are Allowed To Be Fashed "?
How fix that?
Thanks for answers!
That means only official stock firmware can be flashed. So you should download stock rom and flash.
