I hate the stock Lockscreen. Always been one of the poor designs aspects of Android. I'm actually on an LG G6 right now and SO frustrated that you can't setup a fingerprint without enabling the System Lock Screen. Some 3rd party screens (MS Next, Hi Locker, etc) support fingerprint unlock but you can't use them without also enabling system lock screen. Argh!!
I'm still within 14 days so thinking of returning G6 and getting an S8+.
So I'm trying to find out if the system lock screen requirement when setting up a fingerprint is a Marshmellow feature or a G6 feature. Can you disable the system lock screen on the S8 WITHOUT deleting the registered fingerprint ?

Hey guys,
With the new NFC unlock feature in Lollipop, you are still required to swipe a screen which is stupid in my opinion. Xposed NFC Screen Unlock or whatever it was called had NFC polling with screen off and when you placed your NFC tag to it, the phone unlocked right to the home screen.
Has anyone figured out a similar result in Lollipop?
I'm looking for this feature as well. Especially considering Xposed is Lollipop incompatible
Any changes?
Okay, so I'm running lollipop on my galaxy S5 and after connecting my bluetooth headphones it asked me if I wanted to add them as trusted?
So, as I trust them, I said yes.
After that, whenever I locked my phone using the fingerprint lock I would instead get a swipe lock screen instead. Swiping it would then take me to my normal fingerprint lock screen.
So, instead of one lockscreen I would have to unlock two!
What the hell is the point of that?
Am I missing something?
I don't really understand the concept of Smart Lock having trusted places, devices etc. for turning off pin etc. to unlock the screen when it still leaves a lock screen you have to swipe. What is the reasoning behind that? Screens don't really turn on in people's pockets do they? I've never had a phone where I used a lock screen (except away from home in case it's lost) until the last several days with my Axon 7 and having to swipe the screen when I don't use the fingerprint reader (I've discovered having it on the back instead of front is inconvenient, at least for me) is starting to drive me batty.
So is there a way to remove it? I'd want it removed COMPLETELY in certain scenarios, such as being connected to home WiFi or truck bluetooth.
If not, and if that's normal, how can people stand it? :cyclops:
Permanently:
You need to be rooted and have Xposed firmware. Then just search on Google for the module: lockscreendisabler xda. With that module you can deactivate the lockscreendisabler permanently.
Certain scenarios:
By location, Bluetooth you can use smart lock. For wifi: there is an app called smart lock WiFi, I think. You can too find it on xda.

The smart lock built into the phone? That doesn't disable the lock screen, it just disables having to put in a code etc. on the lock screen.
Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to control the order of the "magazine cover" images on the lock screen? I figured out had to add my own covers, but it seems to display them in the order they were added. I would prefer either random or sorted by name. Thanks.

I have a problem with that tablet fingerprint sensor, it works when it wants and after a while the tablet stops working. Even the menu settings disappears, fingerprint ID is gone
when I restart the effect is zero only when I reset the factors it works but after a while the fingerprint sensor refuses to work again. Does
I have been using fingerprint sensor on my Oneplus6T from the beginning. I have a work profile setup on my phone and I have added fingerprint to unlock work profile apps too.
I have always felt that the fingerprint sensor does not work well with work profile. It takes atleast 6-7 tries and sometimes does not work at all. I recently found out the reason.
The fingerprint icon for work profile does not show the animation!!! Since there is no animation, the area is not lit up and hence the fingerprint does not work. This is very strange.
I checked all the settings and could not find anything. As far as I know there is now way of turning on/off the animation as it is always required for fingerprint identification.
So I am wondering why the animation is missing when it comes to work profile unlock. Have any one else faced this issue?
Fingerprint animation works perfectly fine for phone lock, app lock etc. It only fails in case of work profile
PS: I am using Oxygen OS 9.0.14
