Okay, so I'm running lollipop on my galaxy S5 and after connecting my bluetooth headphones it asked me if I wanted to add them as trusted?
So, as I trust them, I said yes.
After that, whenever I locked my phone using the fingerprint lock I would instead get a swipe lock screen instead. Swiping it would then take me to my normal fingerprint lock screen.
So, instead of one lockscreen I would have to unlock two!
What the hell is the point of that?
Am I missing something?

Hey guys,
With the new NFC unlock feature in Lollipop, you are still required to swipe a screen which is stupid in my opinion. Xposed NFC Screen Unlock or whatever it was called had NFC polling with screen off and when you placed your NFC tag to it, the phone unlocked right to the home screen.
Has anyone figured out a similar result in Lollipop?
I'm looking for this feature as well. Especially considering Xposed is Lollipop incompatible
Any changes?
Hi! As many others, I am really happy with the S7Edge. I encountered one problem with the Smart Lock functionality though which I really find annoying.
I am using my Pebble as trusted bluetooth device. Now, when I turn off my Pebble (while the phone's screen is off), the phone should lock, right? Well, it doesn't. I am still able to turn it on one time. Only when going into standby mode for the 2nd time it requires my finger print / code in order to unlock.
It does work correctly on a Nexus device so I assume this is caused by a bad implementation by Samsung? Can anyone here confirm this behavior?
Thank you in advanced!

I can confirm you that SmartLock is crap ! I have set my car as trusted device, my headhones too and fav locations, and regularly I have to use the fingerprint or the schema.

Smart Lock works fine for me. I've never had to use a fingerprint or pin when my phone is connected to a registered BT device. I don't use locations, so can't comment on that.
Does going to lock screen and security>other security setting>trusted agents toggle smart lock off?
hello
I have a question
One member know a software or a modification for the fingerprint?
Because when i use my fingerprint first i click on the home button and after i see the lockscreen and after my finger is readed
On huawei/Honor phone when i put my finger on the fingerprint the fingerprint unlock my phone without go on lockscreen
So do you have a solution for the same way of unlock as honor/huawei?
Thanks !!
No
there is one way to do that...turn on your edge feed...when your screen is lock..swipe up and down on the edge screen til your edge feed come out..then scan your fingerprint..it will unlock your phone without hitting any button..
Passive fingerprint reader

I know the Problem you are facing,
That's because the readers on Other phones like one's you mentioned are having an Active Fingerprint Reader which is always scanning your print even on Screen Stand-By
Samsung phones on other hand have a Passive Fingerprint Reader that gets activated by the press of the button only and so it wont scan the fingerprint until the screen is activated by any means - either you press the home button of Activate the screen by Edge Feed (swipe Up and Down on Edge)
This is a Tad Bit of less convenient because of Passiveness but it has important safety precautions like
1) phone does not get opened up if you accidentally touch the sensor in pocket
2) press is better because you can feel the pressure and know if someone pranks you while you are sleeping
3) fingerprint reader uses less ram and less battery because of being inactive most of the time
"But I do Confess that Samsung Phone's Fingerprint Sensors are Slow Compared to Many Other Phones even if we Test While screen of on"
I've got the LED case for the phone, when i flip it open i just hold my finger over the sensor.
Unlocked without pressing buttons
Thans for all the answer
I understand now

Wow nice! i had no reason to keep edge feed on, now i do, i came from OP3, so i miss the super fast fingerprint scanner
I am wondering if I can mimic the lock screen behavior from my s2 with my s5 (neo if that matters)
On my s2, if I pick lock after 5 minutes, if I turn the screen back on before then, it doesn't make me reinput my pattern yet, but it does make me swipe to unlock. Can I make the s5 do this, instead of absolutely no lock at all until the 5 minutes pass?
I just really like this behavior and I would like to enable it on s5. So basically swipe to unlock until after 5 minutes, then I have to draw my pattern again.
If anyone has any suggestions would be appreciated! (Without just telling me to use thumb print, I'd rather use the pattern)

Check lock screen settings. There should be an option to choose when to lock the phone. I think there are certain time intervals.
I found that... But to choose an interval, there's literally no security until that time goes by. Like to power the screen on just stays exactly where it was.
My older style, on the s2 requires a swipe to unlock, until after 5 minutes then it needs me to redraw my pattern. This was what I was hoping to mimic.
Just feels like it would be too easy to do things by accident while in your pocket, with no lock at all. The s2 offers the perfect middle ground

Is there some way to make the unlock swipe more sensitive? Or a shorter swipe required?
Sometimes it takes me 4 or 5 swipes to get it to unlock, it's getting a tad annoying. No other issues with the screen, it just seems to need far too long of a swipe to allow the unlock.
I don't use fingerprint / pin / face unlock.

I don't believe there is, but why wouldn't you use any of the above ? They're all ironically extremely fast, the fingerprint unlock is probably the quickest out of any phone in the world. The face is also rapid.
You could maybe install another lock screen but it would probably be quite similar.
There is more than likely also a setting in the ROM which altered the length of swipe, not in settings but an actual value within a file.

My finger tips/prints get pretty tore up at work and causes finger print readers to be all but useless.
Not a fan of face unlock, too many situations that it would be inconvenient. I suppose I could maybe try a simple pattern unlock instead, I tend to open my phone is awkward situations sometimes and want it to be easy to get into. I have no security concerns.

Have you actually tried the face unlock? I wasn't completely for it, but it's very quick and you barely have to look at the screen, it's also surprisingly accurate.
Did you know you can register several fingertips? So unless your whole hand gets messed up? I used to do ground work and roofing, bricklaying so I know what you mean. Should be ok tbh.

I have the same problem, and it's not only unlocking the screen.
Sometimes I try to swipe down notification 4-5 times before it works.
On Lineage/Resurrection rom it's working like any other phone.
There is one more thing, this bug is inconsistent, sometimes unlocking is working like it should and slightest swipe unlocks the phone.
