Kenzo and it's development is now not new and QC on kenzo is also not new today am creating a new thread to clarify all those doubts regarding QC on kenzo
Well below are a genuine practical test made by me.
Am 24×7 available (I will try to be ??) and will answer all question and doubts regarding this.. (I feel now am the master on QC 2.0 on kenzo ??)
Start reading (I am using Pure Nexus and Franco kernel)
Well I did complete my intensive research as well as my own experiments... So here are my results regarding QC on Snapdragon.650. and Franco kernel...
First of all the kernel do support QC 2.0 (? I know we all know that but still for noobs)
Now most important RN3 PRO also support QC 2.0 the circuit, the processor and the battery do support QC 2.0
(It's a 100% confirmed fact)
But the charger and the software does not...
So some tweaking enables it ... Definitely Yes!!!
But as every coin has 2 sides.. This too has..
Read on what I did to come to this conclusion..
Well I went out in the market bought couple of quick chargers ...2 quick chargers borrowed ( I know I don't have to mention it but I have to write something ??...Please tolerate me) ...
Well these were
1) One Plus dash charger
2) Pixel XL fast charger
3)Moto G5 plus turbo charger
4)Le Eco Le Pro 3 quick charger
The test conditions were
AC on for an hour at 24℃... The room temperature was 23℃ .. I am on Pure Nexus .. All apps were closed.. Data wifi auto rotation...Sync.. Location Bluetooth etc..All off
The device temperature was 32℃ and I had a sponge soaked lightly in water....
I made sure the temperature was not high as high temperature causes the quick charging go off so that your phone don't become GALAXY S7 (?? I find this line funny)...
Now I did use all the chargers 1 by 1 and the phone was started charging from 3%
1st- The One Plus charger
It took me exactly 2hr 23min to charge that thing with a dash charger (I know it's USB TYPE C I just slashed the end and attached a normal cable...I think that might change the rate..) now I had a check on voltage and the phone started with 3.6V and then rapidly It went up to 5V in just span of 4mins !!!!! But then after 20 mins again back to 4.0V and at this moment the temperature was 45℃......
2nd - Pixel XL charger
It took me exactly 2hr 12min to charge from 3% to 100%
Now this time the phone started from 3.8V and went up to 4.6V in just 4min.. and after 15mins it went to 8V....And after 23min It was on 11V.. Interestingly temperature was at 41℃ ... But then after 28min the rate went down to 3.9V!!! (I thought it would have went to 100 in 1hr 50mins..But ....No)
3rd-Moto G5 plus turbo charger
Well this time I didn't expect good results but I was shocked..
Well the phone went from 3% to 100% in 2hr 18min!!!! Wow...
It started with 3.8V and raced up to 4.4V in 6mins
Then 7V in 26mins and full 12V in 34mins ... but this time the temperature was 47℃ and again the rate slowed down..I had to turn the charger off as I don't like a GALAXY S7 (?????)
4th- Final Le Pro 3
I expected some good results and the results were really pleasing this time I used a converter
It went from 3% to 100% in 1hr 58mins !!!!!!! Well I don't know how the rate started from 3.9V then 4.2V in mins then 5.2V in 17mims then 9.6V in 26min and 12V in 34min and this 12V was constant form around 8mins!!! Well this time I cheated ...I reduced AC to 20℃ soaked the sponge with chilled water and place the phone between Ice bags (I took care guys .I didnt place the phone touching the ice bags ?? I have some sense)
Well the temperature of phone was 45℃ ...But rate never reduced
Disclaimer- I didnt use and voltmeter....It was Pure Nexus stock charging info... And the time results are genuine...I did use a stopwatch and the times mention are completely original.. Apologies if I gave some wrong info with half knowledge.The phone do support QC but It's not good for the health of that beast....I mean 45℃+ is not a comfortable rate and moreover the rate was never steady as temperature matters... So I think it comes in handy at times but I prefer stock charger
One more thing the QC sign in MIUI beta version is true ...It is QC sign as per MIUI moderators...But they say it don't support stock charging though the symbol appears...If you need some more assistance am here.

I appreciate that you took the time to benchmark different chargers, but that was really painful to read, why are there so many goddamn emojis? You should also have tested the supplied charger, as a control and a run of the mill 1A charger that everyone has lying around the house. I don't know if those times or temps are any good if i don't have a reference.

Well sorry for those emojis...I used them to make sure no one gets bored off. It shows I have a poor sense of humour..?..Leave that I made a poll regarding stock charger ..So if majority needs I will do some more work with supplied charger too

did the Zener diodes on the charging plate and the motherboard not burn?
Many call it protection diodes but they are actually zeners to stabilize the output voltage at 5V. many have burned these zerner diodes when connecting chargers QC3.0

How well does adaptive fast charging for you?

Any one actually time how fast their note 4 charges for them? Mine didnt seem to charge any faster than my GS4 the last few days so I finally set a timer, and it charged 50% in just over an hour and a half. Way off what samsung claimed, considering this was supposed to take only 30 minutes...and yes I have fast charging enabled and am using the fast charging adapter.
In 20 minutes charged about 33%. I am happy, cause fast charging working very well. From 25% to 95 % in 60 minutes.

I've done measurements this morning after getting my Note 4 last night.
I agree. I've found little difference between fast charging, and normal at the levels i was measuring.
Perhaps it works faster between 0 and 50%, which seems to be the stats Samsung always quoted. If there is any kind of intelligence circutry going on, it must be varying the amount of ampage being drawn from the charger.
I've found the amps drawn to be VERY low as compared with the S5. Obviously the voltage is the main thing changing with Samsung's "fast Charging" plug.
For example changing from 90% to 100% I found:
USB 2 lead supplied with phone + normal plug = 23mins 31 seconds
USB 2 lead supplied with phone + fast charging plug supplied by Samsung = 23 mins dead.
31 seconds difference is hardly stallar!
Yes you can say it depends on what apps were consuming resource in the background, but it was just standard apps synching etc.
Screen was off the entire time, and nothing processor intensive was actively running.
But I did notice something interesting:
If watts = amps x volts it might explain why the phone isn't charging that fast at the 90% level.
Note 4:
With anker 40w 5-port charge (capable of outpitting 2.4 amps per port, the typical draw was between 300 and 450 ma
With Samsung fast charger it was drawing between 250 and 350ma.
Obviously I'm not counting voltage, which will definitely play a part in the overall wattage. But there has to be some kind of intelligence here controlling it as it's not steady.
S5:
Anker 5-port: 1200ma steady
Fast charger (not compatable of course): 1200ma Steady
Which is also intereting seeing as the max output is 1800ma, so the phone still isnt drawing the max it could do.
Might try draining the Note 4 down even more, and seeing if it does up the draw when the battery is nearing empty
I was very impressed with the charging.
The ultimate test for me was when I was playing a fairly graphics hungry game whilst being connected to the fast charger. It continued to charge the phone up to 100% from 30% in around 40 minutes whilst playing.
I believe the best way to ensure the results are comparable is to make sure the phone is completely powered down and the battery has had a handful of recharge cycles first.
Anyhow, I am impressed with the charging and the battery consumption of my Note 4 to date

Impressive. Considering you were using a lot of screen and processing power. Sounds like a wait and see is in order, see how it pans out.
Battery life doesn't seem bad for what I have used, not but much better than I had on the S5. In time I expect things to improve though.

I went from 21% to 75% in about 40 minutes the other day (was monitoring), but my device was on and I had used it a few times in between that time... fast charging is really meant to be used when your device is OFF - that's where you'll get the most benefit.
Mine works fine. Remember it works while screen is off or phone powered down. Also from 0-50 only. Beyond that and it will use 5v to charge instead of the 9v. That's why Fast Charging will only work with the charger it came with.

Are you still having the same issue?
Im charging my phone for the first time and i dont find the fast charging works well with me. Its been an hour already and my battery is still at 30%. I also turn off my phone to make sure i get the 30mins 50% but no luck. Should fast charging kicks in after several recharge cycle?
Remember, it's called adaptive fast charging so it's charging rate varies depending on variables such as temperature, etc.
I went from 20% to 96% in about 60-90 minutes today. Not too bad.
I don't plan on using fast charging much to test, but it's my first few days with the phone and I've been stress testing it to see how battery life is.
90mins for me from 1% to 100%.

Impressed with mine used to have a spare battery but not anymore as the beast can really fast.

I found that for fast charging to work you must use the cable and charger that shipped with the Note 4.
hey and im sorry to dig this thread out again, but wondering if another tried fast charging with third party battery, I bought a ravpower note 4 battery off amazon and charged it with my note 4 adapter and I went from 10% to 50% in about 50 minutes, im sure its not fast enough.

The phone has a chip and the charger has a chip it is this that allows the phone to charge at 9v only between 0 to 50. It's easy for people to be unimpressed because Samsung typically charge quickly. I tried a LG g3 for a few days and it charged ridiculously slow compared to a Samsung if it is taking an hr and a half to charge your phone halfway I would consider using your warranty for a new device or battery

It will only do fast charging below 50%?
What if it starts at 45% - will it stop when it gets to 50%?
I'm finding that Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC) only works (phone reads "fast charging") when the charge cycle is started while the phone's battery is almost dead. Now, "almost dead" means different things to different people, but my GS6 won't use AFC unless it's really low - I know it won't kick on/in circa 35%, but I don't know the precise level.
Here's some an interesting comment made on the awesome article at the link below:
"You should note though, that CABLES DO MATTER. Every el-cheapo ebay cable isn't supported for quick charging. They usually allow about 700mA to pass through. You need high quality cables that probably came with your smartphone in order for quick charging to work. I have done several tests with my Note 4 with several cables and an adapter that meters the output Amperage."

Charging Speed

i have had the V20 for about 12 hours in which time it charged from about 50% to about 75% ... my Note would accomplish the same in about 15 minutes ... and yet the V20 is supposed to run the same type of quick charger on the same size battery ... something about this doesn't rub me the right way
yes i did use the phone and unplug it a few times etc but it still should have been much faster ...
it was connected using its own cable and charger BUT through a USB extension cord ... so then i thought maybe that's the problem - maybe i need a longer type C cable and to get rid of extension cord ... but i need to have an answer to that BEFORE buying new cables ...
so i plugged it in directly ( no extension ) and tried to see if it charges in correct mode ...
and here is where i face plant into a wall of excruciating stupidity ... every single app out there measures charging current, whereas what i really want to know is whether the charger is running at 5V standard voltage or using the quick charge 9V voltage ... amazingly there doesn't seem to be an app to show this - or is there ?
my galaxy note would simply say " adaptive quick charger connected " when plugged into quick charger but the V20 doesn't say anything like that.
accubattery app says my screen on charging rate is 760 ma and screen off is 1760 ma ... and the charger of course states 1.8 A so that's consistent ... but is that at 5V or at 9V ? the charger supports both - which one is it ?
this is killing me - so much stupidity. it shouldn't be that hard to figure out whether the phone is charging correctly or not.
anybody have an idea how i could find out whether the charger is actually stepping up to 9V without physically cutting the USB cable and using my multimeter ?
EDIT: i realized i have a kill-a-watt ( actually two of them ) and i can measure power draw from 120V outlet ... so i did that. the draw fluctuated from about 6 to 13 watt. now if we assume 90% efficiency on the charger then full power would have to draw 18 watt from outlet - clearly it never got close. on the other hand at 5V it should have maxed out at around 10 watt power draw, and it went quite a bit over that so it would seem to be using the 9V mode ...
at this point however i'm up to 90% battery and can't expect it to charge at full rate any more as some battery charging algorithms taper off above 80% or so ...
i tried with and without extension cord and noticed no difference ... also if i remember correctly my Note also charged fine over this same extension cord ... but i'm not sure
EDIT: played with turning off 2nd screen as well as shutting down device completely - this phone is crazy. power draw is all the place - at one point it went to ZERO and stayed there until i unplugged it and plugged it back in, then it would fluctuate between zero and 14 watts ...
you know back in the day i had LG Nitro HD and it had worst battery performance of any phone ever ... and this V20 seems to be living up to that legacy. WTF.
anyway, it seems the charger and the cable and extension are not to blame - it seems there is some kind of software weirdness that is resulting in very sporadic power draw ...
slow charging is one of the reasons i switched from iPhone back to Android - i expected this V20 to perform similarly ( blazing fast charging ) to the Note 4 i had before the iPhone 6S Plus ... but it's charging performance so far is almost identical to the iPhone - slow as a snail.
i already spent $80 on case and screen protector and i'm supposed to spend a bunch more on extra cables and memory card as well as sell my iPhone and at the same time i'm thinking - maybe i should just return it ? going to have to observe it for a while longer before making any decisions either way ... terrible.

yeah it fluctuates a lot. i gave up on apps and just using Kill-a-watt now which is a physical power meter you insert into 120V outlet. it shows power draw from charger, not output, but we can assume about 90% efficiency from input to output of charger.
i let the V20 drain to 40% overnight and restarted the test today. with the extension cord it went up to 16 watt draw from outlet and stayed there - charge quickly went up to 55% then i tried without the extension cord and now its only at 11 watts. this is with both screens off. so far my conclusion is that using an extension cord makes no difference but the level of charge on the phone does impact the charging speed. you need to drain the phone to measure full charging speed.
i will continue with my testing but i am somewhat relieved. 16 watts is close to spec, in fact the spec is 16 watt but on the OUTPUT side of charger, not input, so i'm withing about 10% of spec.
i'm also a lot less nervous buying charging cables now that i verified 16 watt charging over many years old USB 2.0 extension cord ...
EDIT: wow it went from 55% to 68% while i was typing this message ! this is very different from what i saw yesterday ... it was running at 11 watts while i was typing. looks like the phone charges fast as long as it is: 1) drained and 2) left alone. if the phone is almost full and you keep playing with it the level of charge barely changes.
EDIT: at 89% charge it's now down to just 4 watts power draw from outlet ... 25% of what it was pulling at 40% charge. so far it looks like it tapers charging speed off gradually with charge level - starts early and tapers it off to almost nothing as it nears full charge ... and all the while it fluctuates with processor and screen use and probably other factors such as temperature. maybe the reason it went to 16 watts when i plugged it in the morning is that the phone was cold from not being used all night and perhaps it now warmed up so the power got tapered.
maybe i'll stop testing it - it seems to be working correctly, just not the way i originally expected it to.
overall i'm disappointed with this phone but the only phone i would trade it for is Pixel XL 128 GB Very Black which is unavailable ... so i guess i will keep it.
the phone i'm most impressed with right now is ZTE Axon 7 i got for my mother - it is shockingly good - if it wasn't for FM radio, IR Blaster, Removable Battery, Laser Autofocus, Dual Camera, Dual Screen and Nougat i would even say the ZTE Axon 7 is BETTER than V20. the main problem with ZTE is it's just not expensive enough for my ego - otherwise it is great. the screen is is super sharp, vivid and punchy, the front facing speakers are loud and crisp and then there's the 2 year warranty. i'm jealous ...
but i will stick with V20 to protect my dignity. because let's face it - if i'm out on a date i want to have the latest, most technologically advanced and most expensive phone - not the cheapest phone, even if it is just as good or better. really happy with my decision to get Axon 7 for my mom though. she loves it as well.
The way QC works is that it will charge fastest from low power until around 70-80% and then slow down A LOT to help preserve the battery. That is why you saw a high wattage and then when you got into the 80's you saw a very low wattage.
QC is mainly for you to get 40-50% of battery power in a relative short amount of time when your battery is low.
I bought a little device that measures the voltage and current of the charge. And I'm using my own Quick Charge 3.0 wall charger.
When the screen is off or powered down, it charges at 9V/1.8A max. Resulting in about 16W of power. Which is pretty much what the supplied LG charger delivers.
When the screen is on, it charges at 5V/0.5A
My QC3.0 charger is capable of up to 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A, 18W of power. The V20 doesn't seem to draw that much power. And now I'm starting to doubt the V20 is truly a QC3.0 device.

I'll grab voltage/amp reader that I have at home and test my 3 QC 3.0 chargers I have (I'll drain phone to around 20% and then test them and see how it goes) - I'm going to test with the phone off so it pulls the max and see what it ends up with

i'm also a lot less nervous buying charging cables now that i verified 16 watt charging over many years old USB 2.0 extension cord ...
EDIT: wow it went from 55% to 68% while i was typing this message ! this is very different from what i saw yesterday ... it was running at 11 watts while i was typing. looks like the phone charges fast as long as it is: 1) drained and 2) left alone. if the phone is almost full and you keep playing with it the level of charge barely changes.
EDIT: at 89% charge it's now down to just 4 watts power draw from outlet ... 25% of what it was pulling at 40% charge. so far it looks like it tapers charging speed off gradually with charge level - starts early and tapers it off to almost nothing as it nears full charge ... and all the while it fluctuates with processor and screen use and probably other factors such as temperature. maybe the reason it went to 16 watts when i plugged it in the morning is that the phone was cold from not being used all night and perhaps it now warmed up so the power got tapered.
maybe i'll stop testing it - it seems to be working correctly, just not the way i originally expected it to.
overall i'm disappointed with this phone but the only phone i would trade it for is Pixel XL 128 GB Very Black which is unavailable ... so i guess i will keep it.
the phone i'm most impressed with right now is ZTE Axon 7 i got for my mother - it is shockingly good - if it wasn't for FM radio, IR Blaster, Removable Battery, Laser Autofocus, Dual Camera, Dual Screen and Nougat i would even say the ZTE Axon 7 is BETTER than V20. the main problem with ZTE is it's just not expensive enough for my ego - otherwise it is great. the screen is is super sharp, vivid and punchy, the front facing speakers are loud and crisp and then there's the 2 year warranty. i'm jealous ...
but i will stick with V20 to protect my dignity. because let's face it - if i'm out on a date i want to have the latest, most technologically advanced and most expensive phone - not the cheapest phone, even if it is just as good or better. really happy with my decision to get Axon 7 for my mom though. she loves it as well.

Thats weird, Im using my Note 7 charger on the V20 and it charge the phone completely in less that 2 hours. In my case I always drain my phone to 3% and leave it charging up to 100%. I will check again tonight to be sure.

I wouldn't drain it that low all the time unless you plan on stocking up on batteries or don't mind depleting longevity of battery quicker than usual.

I was getting 9.2v @ 1.67A = 15w of power. This is the max that my USB multimeter can do so it would seem that this charger is good for QC 3.0 as it did fluctuate voltage as needed.

That is still wasteful use on a battery and giving the next guy a raw deal. But to each his own. I try and make everything last and more efficient so the next person feels like they are truly getting an almost lightly used phone. If I sell my note4, they're going to get a lightly used battery on top of the 3 extras, with fixed GPS and better reception and cleaned out USB port with no oxidization. Same with my HTC m8 though that was only used as daily driver for two weeks and then a DAP for trips and occasional home use. Definitely selling the m8. They are basically getting a lightly used phone and the battery should still have some good life coming out of it. And personally I think jump is overpriced leasing but I guess you can drive it like you stole it. I prefer handing down the best experience I can to the next person.

My devices go back to tmobile which then go back for refurbishment. With the V20 it's easy for them to just replace the battery.

Just tested this one at work. Phone was at 28% and I had been streaming Youtube for a good 2 hours before doing the test.
Ended up pulling 9.17v @ 1.68A = 15.40 watts (again maximum that my tester can do).
I'll be ordering a new tester that can handle up to 25A and testing again to see if I can pull the max 18watts of power that the QC 3.0 chargers says it can deliver

This looks like a good device.
There are time on my v10 where I'll plug it in and it will charge at a reduced rate so I have to unplug it and plug it back it and it changes to fast charge, that's just been my experience. This is using factory plug and adapter too.
So you might want to make sure the phone says "fast charging" and not "charging".

Quick Charge 3.0 ?

Hello. "Quick Charge makes 82% in 35 minutes"... But it isn't true. Many times I charged. That's my result:
time 0, turned off phone (<2%):
10 mins, 13%
30 mins, 37%
64 mins, 79%
79 mins, 89%
96 mins, 95%
102 mins, 96%
110 mins, 98%
125 mins, 100%
On the stock charger and 5.9.20s stock on turned off phone (as same times as in turned on).
*My phone buzzing, when charger is connected in 1 side. Another side dont do it, so, my cable fails and I think about buy another one charger+cable kit.
How many % do you have from 2~5% in 30 and 60 mins? How long Le Pro3 charges? Witch one charger do you use?

The Qualcomm claim of "0-80% in 35 minutes" is based on 2750mAh battery. Pro3 has 4070mAh battery. Leeco do not claim a specific time to 82% anywhere I can see.
I left my phone for charging. And 80% in 35 mins 2750 battery give us 2200 mAh. In Le pro it is ~55%. My scores are ~40% in 35 mins. May should I buy USB V and A meter.

The charging speed is based on 2750mah battery, maximum power (1.5C rate), and a thermal limit of 40 Celsius. So if LeEco had put in a lower thermal limit, then it would charge slower than what Qualcomm claims.
My Le get 39-39.5 Celsius in charge only. So, similar.

I have heard that le pro 3 has some display issue.... First of all the screen mute Ness the screen colour accuracy is not true to life and cold colours and second of all the touch latency it's something to notice I think that is it's EUI's fault..... By installing Lineage OS will this issues will be fixed

I have just received my Le Pro 3 today and using an app called Ampere it says my Nexus 6p and also my partners Nexus 5x chargers and cables can only charge my Le Pro 3 at 1400mA (Max USB current) And it only shows my current charging rate at around 1250mA give or take.
Now that got me charged from 0 to 50% in 1 hour which is a little bad... I'm a little scared but I might have to charge the phone with the supplied cable and charger at this rate

As far as i know both 6p and 5x dont use quickcharge, they use usb type c power delivery, so makes sense that charger doesnt quickcharge your le pro 3 as its not supposed to, different technology.

My household has 4 Le Eco Phones. 2 Le Pro 3 (X727) and 2 Le S3 ( X522)
Of the four phones, one had an issue with the USB C cord, and now the phone will no longer quick charge. In Result, I replaced all four with with IF certified USB C quick charge cables. I definitely recommend replacing the USB cables and would consider replacing the charger as well.
Additionally, I noticed that some Roms seem charge quicker than stock, and some may charge slower than stock. For Example, The Paranoid 7.31 Rom will charge a phone at 20 % to 80% in 20 minutes. My experience with AICP so far is that it has many great features, with the one issue being that charge time has been slow so far. I believe the kernel can be adjusted. But, I have not yet determined how to make adjustments.

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.

I have done some testing.
With QC 2.0 (my old Motorola Turbo charge 15) I charge phone from 20% to 90% with rate 65%/hour (1 hour and 10 minutes time)
With QC 3.0 (charger and cable from original Chinese packaging) I charge phone form 30% to 87% with rate 95%/hour (40 minutes)
I think this scenario is common for most users when they need to charge phone in hurry.
Later I will add also charging rate for quick wireless charger included in box and maybe also some QC 4.0+ if I get my hands on some.
In my case, I bought a PD3.0 charger from Aukey and my Mi Mix 3 is charging from 0% to 100% in 1h08 !
In fact after a few research I found that Power Delivery Technology is compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge because Quick charge is working with Power Delivery and add a few security technology, but power delivery already have some.
Nevermind, I tested it and indeed My PD3.0 charger (max 15V and 3A) with a anker cable wich support up to 5A is working faster than the QC3 charger !
I suppose a QC4.0 should be better, but for now I think PD3.0 is the best solution !
I second @romain1672...I've converted all my chargers to USB-PD since I've divested from non-USB-C devices and my Mi Mix 3 flies with them.
I believe the wireless charging is relatively slow, think one review said three hours for full charge? But that's expected to be honest.
I've heard it said that slow charging is better for battery life, so in effect, wouldn't the wireless charger be better than cabled, if you're not pressed for time?
It took me exactly 1h45 to charge from 17% to 100% with the wireless charger. It's pretty fast for a wireless charger, but the only issue is that it heats lot of more than wired, and i read somewhere that heat isn't good for battery health.
Hi guys, I just bought the Razer Phone charger (it's the only one I could get quickly with Quick Charge 4.0+ in the UK). Not the most scientific of tests, but it went from 30% to 87% in 30 mins. I tested from 30% again today with a Quick Charge 3 charger and in 30 minutes it made it to 80%.

This charger is becoming annoying.
I place my phone on the puck by my bed. Sometimes, before falling asleep, I hear the sound indicating charge stopping.
Then, in the morning I find my phone has moved off the puck. And it is not me! The phone slips away if not perfectly aligned centrally on the puck. It is not surprising as the induction forces between the puck and phone will be opposing but the manufacturer should have spotted this and made the puck/phone with more friction between them.

Bro, I use my brothers Samsung Wireless Charger "EP-NG930" from his S8. Google it to see it. I can't post a pic of it since I leave it in the office but underneath it is rated at 9V 1.67A (15W)
I must say it charges pretty much the same, if not, faster than the included one since it has a built-in noiseless fan behind the coils

I got one of these. It works well and has amazing capacity. It's a bit bulky and I don't find myself actually carrying it with me often.

Super, that's the one I have as well so that's good to know.
I didn't know about the 45W charger from Elecjet when I bought the Samsung one but I only paid 37 quid so it is all good.
I think it will sell well since Samsung doesn't seem to be dropping price themselves
1st test
Got to try this thing out for the first time this morning.
I let the Note 10 plus drain until it turned itself off in a final death cramp of a vibration *
Using the short usb-c to usb-c cable that came with the PowerPie I plugged it in.*
I had already charged the PowerPie fully using the official Samsung 45 Watt charger.
Here is what I got at first attempt on my 5 months old Note 10 plus 5G from 0%
7 min - 14%
9 min - 22%
12 min - 30 %
20 min - 47%
30 min - 66% (I've seen claims of 69% but I find 66% perfectly acceptable)
40 min 83%
47 min 90%
1 hour - 96%
1.05 - 100%
Considering that this is a powerbank, not a wall charger I find it a VERY GOOD result.*
The PowerPie is still showing 3 of the 4 LED's so it is so far so good with hoping to get 4 full charges plus a bit but I'll report back on that later.
Update:
I did the 2nd full charge of my Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G from 0% using the PowerPie and it was actually a minute or two quicker to both 90 and 100% today
but anything above 80% (42 minutes) is really irrelevant.
However, the positive taken from todays mini test is that during this 2nd charge cycle the led's on the PowerPie did drop from 3 to 2 but after charging the phone to a 100% there is still 2 led's lit up which should indicate that there is over 50% in *The Pie*
Tomorrow and the day after to go and I'll be able to confirm if a full 4 charges for the Note 10 plus 5G is possible but it is looking positive so far.

I'm giving it a go anyway, it will be nice to know how far it stretches for when you need it.
After this first initial testing it will be the exemption rather than the rule running *The Pie* flat again
I want to also see how quick it charges to full using the Samsung 45w charger so obviously have to run it dry.

3rd full charge cycle just done and there is still 1 led left on, on *The Pie* indicating that there is a minimum of 25% 5000mAh left in it, so it will be interesting tomorrow to see if that translates into a 4th full charge cycle.
Interesting thing from todays mini test was that I instead of letting the Galaxy Note 10 Plus die on it's own, I instead switched it off at 1% (letting Galaxy phones die completely have caused issues for customers in the past)*

I have been thinking of getting the 45 watt samsung charger myself but then had this thought of going for a 65 watt Type C charger for a dell chromebook 3380.
Note 10+ is supposed to be able to take upto 47 watts if I'm not mistaken. please correct me if I'm wrong. The dell charger will work for the phone and the chromebook both and costs around $52-55 here. The Samsung Charger on the online Sammy store is also $53-55 and that in my currency equals ₹3500 - 4200 approx. The chromebook charger will actually cost less because the don't sell that well but the Samsung won't be coming down anytime soon atleast which makes me lean towards the dell.
You maybe aware that oppo is shipping the Reno 2 or 3 whichever it is they launched few days ago with a 65 watt fast charger.
After reading through this topic and your posts one thing I found surprising is that the charge times are actually more than my standard 25 watt charger that came in the box. Is it that the power bank is not putting out 45 watts for charging the phone but is capable of being charged with a 45 watt charger?
I think if we use a 45 watt charger for the phone itself the total time to go from 0% to 100% should not be more than 30-35 minutes. Is that correct, because you have those chargers I think you would be the right ones to throw some light on this.

This is the longest time I have been on a phone without rooting it, which I will do soon. I wanted to check how true the statement that most apps that needed root can now work without it.
It hasn't turned out to be quite like that, titanium backup needs root and most importantly the best audio mod for android ViperFX needs root too. I have also been running 2 sim cards and the micro sd card at the same time, which samsung has blocked and thus can't be done without rooting and a custom os.

Don't get just any 45w charger as you will end up with something that only charges you phone at 15w or maybe 25w if you are lucky.
Reason for this is that you need a pd pps charger, just pd won't work.
Oppo and other OEMs use different proprietary types of fast charging so their chargers won't work either.
From 0-100 % your 25W charger will be nearly as quick as the 45w only about 10 minutes difference.
The 45W is a good bit faster at the lower and mid so disregard between 80-100% it's not how it was designed.
No your 25W will not charge faster than either this 45w PowerPie or Samsung 45w between 80-100%
I have 25/45w from Samsung and also now this powerbank so I can guarantee that.
I can't help you with the Root questions as I haven't been doing that since Note 4, to me the 8/9/10 is fine without Root

Final day of this mini test of the *The Pie* with the Note 10 Plus 5G
I let the phone go down to 1% again and plugged it in, there was still 1 of the 4 LEDs lit up on the power bank so I was a little optimistic about maybe getting a full 4th charge out of it but it wasn't to be....
However...It stopped at bang on 60% so all in I think it is a very respectable result considering that this is a 45W fast charging powerbank.
3 full 4300mAh charges plus one at 60% (2580mAh) if you can calculate it that directly.
Is it worth the 58 Euro I paid for it... I most certainly think so
I measured Powerpie bank and official 45w charger do not go pass 38w no matter what so in reality its 38w charger.. also there's Baseus PPS 45w car charger that works with Note 10+ and it maxes out at 38w as well (when the phone is completely dead, it's even lower if it has some juice still left).. so don't spend arm and a leg on that new car charger Samsung just announced, I payed for Baseus 12$ on ebay [emoji23]

The Baseus I'm sure doesn't do 45W pps but I doubt that you are correct about both Samsungs charger and the PowerPie.
I would question your testing/measurement methods a bit, simply because you can't get ANY of the 3 different pieces of equipment to go over 38w

did you try testing official charger? if yes what was your results?
p. s I was able to get 38.5 on pie I believe, the other ones would wary 38.xxxw

I didn't find it necessary to test the official charger as it delivered the charging times that Samsung claims it should.
Are you sure you are using the correct type cable for testing?
OK so you didn't actually measured the actual wattage at various stages of the battery lol until you do, how can you argue that I'm doing something incorrectly, see for yourself

Well they're claiming UP TO 45w, not 45w all the time so in reality that means that if it only hit 45w once or twice then it does what they say
I'm happy enough with the charging results I have gotten anyway as they have lived up to expectations.
Next to try is the pps car charger
