One annoying problem that I've encountered over the past couple of days is with the navigation key.
Touch & Hold (to go back to the Home screen) doesn't always work. And I know it's specific to Touch & Hold because when I let go of the navigation key, it goes 'Back' to the previous screen (as if I didn't hold my finger down at all).
Is this happening to anyone else?
I tough I am only one on earth encounter this problem. I am from Thailand, it did happen to me on a replacement device. I had no such problem with the old one. I tried it with other device displayed on many shops and it did had the same problem. Did you find the solution yet?

Have you tried restarting the phone? Press and hold the powerbutten (if it works), and answer Yes to the question about shutting down. Take out your battery for 10 seconds, put it back in and fire up your phone... It might help

Hehe, can't answer that. I've had the problem only like twice in three months, so for me it's not a problem... I guess it's a software problem. Remember, it's not a Nokia The inside so much more complicated, so I guess we just have to live with some bugs...
Are you guys sure that this is a hardware related problem? I have the same prob and i was quite sure that i f**ked up the capacitative panel by playing kevtris manickly for quite a long time.
The capacitative screen is comprised by two parts folded.
I have opened the diamond and i found out that there is a lietle piece of metal that binds them together. This was bent(from kevtris probably) so istraightened it out with my bear hands. But it did not fix the problem. Do not try it anyway. Too messy if you have two left hands like me.
Have you ever seen a calibrator for the capacitative screen?
had the same problem only the power button would work , hard reset fixed it.
Have u installed S2U2..try uninstalling it...or install latest version 1.68 of S2U2
today my hd2 started acting very strangely. the problem is; whenever i tap on the end key, the start menu would pop up. and i dont mean actually pressing the key down, just lightly tapping it would make it appear. and when i do press it down and again to turn the screen on it would freeze to where i'm not able to swipe and unlock the phone unless i repeatedly continue to press down on the end key, and when it does unlock the start menu is displayed instead of the today screen. i've already done two hard resets but the problem still persist...could this be a hardware issue? has anyone else experienced this? my hd2 has been great until now. if anyone could shed some light on this issue it would be great, anyways, i'll be paying t-mobile a visit later on today
might be some dirt stuck under the windows key.
Its on the same bar, so when you knock the end key, you're moving something caught under the windows key instead?

that's a possibility but not even the windows key itself is that sensitive to where all i had to do was lightly tap on it to open the start menu.
just contacted t-mobile usa. apparently it's a common issue with our phones even though i haven't heard about this exact issue before...but they'll be mailing me a replacement so i should have another hd2 in a few days so hopefully i'll be up and running like before pretty soon.
Dear !
I am user of OnePlus 2 and I have problem with my home button. It is well known problem, but what I should do in such situation - send it with warranty ?
Sometimes id doesn't work and I need to touch it many, many times before it will star working.. :/ I was testing meizu mx5 and there home button was much better. What I should do?

Everyone knows there is an issue with sensitivity of home button. Hopefully this will be solved by future OTA updates by Oneplus. Till then use on screen buttons or set screen off on long press of Home button and Camera on double tap(Kinda works for me).
fortunately home button is working fine in my phone
but once i changed the double tap functionality to turn the screen off then i observed battery drain
so switched back to do nothing on double tab
Interesting, I have this problem but in reverse. Its activating the home button without me touching it. i tried wiping the button with a cloth but no luck. Had to switch to on-screen buttons. Anybody have a solution?
Hello everybody,
I've bought my titanium silver S7E a week ago and have been satisfied so far.
Last couple of days, I've noticed that the home button is only responsive if I click on its center and a bit to the left.
The edges of the button and the whole right side will produce a "click" sound, but won't really press the button.
The fingerprint sensor integrated within the button works just fine.
Anyone else has this issue?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
no issue
There is already a thread about this home button's issue here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/flaky-home-button-t3337431
I had also the same problem and i went to Samsung Greece. They told me that the home button is manufactured to working properly only at the centre and they have no information about this issue.
But they seen the button's problem and they change my screen (button and screen are together).
Now the problem is not gone but its better than before....Im not happy about...
I have an HTC 10 Evo (eu edition) for more than a year now and and literally from no where while I'm using the phone I found Google assistant starting (the action that happens when the home button is long pressed). then it happened again, I tried to press the home button and it didn't work locked the phone and scanner won't work to unlock after some cleaning it comes to work and not work for several times, I restarted the phone many times. discharged it cleaned the whole screen, sensor and Type-C port with no luck. it still gets pressed by itself and sometimes it work and other don't.
I don't know what this could mean or if there's anyway like troubleshooting to know where exactly the problem might be at so I can fix it.
