Galaxy S4 Black Screen of death

Hello,
So my brother's Galaxy S4 appeared the recieve the BSOD on his Galaxy S4 i9505. His screen was acting all wierd with colors and died on him. I've googled around and found out that flashing it to the 'I9505XXUDMHB_I9505PHNDMHB_I9505XXUDMHB_HOME.tar.md5' could fix it. The phone hasn't been rootted or flashed.
Now i do have a litle experience with flashing a phone and got all the files: Odin, USB drivers & an stock rom. But Odin keeps giving me the same auth error and i have really no clue what i can do to fix this. The message is this:

I've tried several versions of Odin, several USB ports and 2 different micro usb cabels. I've bought an JIG to be sure it enters the download mode and tried the button combination to launch it in download mode. But i keep getting this same fail message.
Does anyone knows how to fix this or can i just send the phone to Samsung for an RMA?

What android version is the phone? 4.3? maybe the file you downloaded was 4.2(.2) version and you cant downgrade so you need to find a 4.3 version one I hope this helped you

Thank you for your reaction. This does indeed explains it to me, i've been told at the phonestore i've been to that it has to do with an error in 4.3 and the only change to fix it was to downgrade it. Looks like i've to contact Samsung then.

unfortunately yes you have to contact Samsung

[Q] S5 Sport unlock?

I've been recently trying to unlock my new S5 Sport. The problem I have is I didn't know that by upgrading to Lollipop I wouldn't be able to use some tools designed to unlock it. The next thing I tried was downgrading to make my device compatible with the tools, but I keep on having the same issue in Odin. Here is the log btw:

How to flash a 5.0 modem on n9005???

I use odin flashed the N9005ZSUGOF2 official rom on my n9005
but the modem still stay on the old version
I tried flash it only via odin and recovery, they are both said success but when i check in system, its still on the old version.
Also tried flash it with everything except pda package, but still not work.

That happen to me once , and i resolved it by using old ODIN version , that's works for me.
Try to use older ODIN version.

You can't downgrade.

Samsumg glaxy note 4 os missing and cannot upgrade os

I ACCIDENTALLY WIPED OS FROM MY NOTE 4 AND CANNOT UPGARDE FIRMWARE USING ODIN.
