EMUI 4.1 Roms - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. Are there some Emui 4.1 roms out there, I really want to install ESAL V2.2, and I don't understand how you did it because I didn't found any roms. I found Vodafone version, but is for SS, and my device is C432(DS), kinda confused if it will work or not. Found another RRevolution something rom, but the project was abandoned and found no link for download
Has anybody found a EMUI 4.1 somewhere, on that spanish HT C forums or some UPDATE.zip for DS?
Thanks

this is RREVOLUTION rom emui 4.1 https://mega.nz/#!wZQCSC7L!_0UCY9cmzizLXCfUH3nn7Gd9_XToPogKUUmvvqmqFJ0
it is working and work very good

Wait, don't use that. It's a Vodafone ROM and they are able to view everything you do on this Firmware and they also can modify things easily.

Creepy. They do actually "spy" on you?
Can you suggest me other EMUI 4.1 Rom where kernel ESAL V2.2 works?

Esal 2.1 beta is exactly like 2.2,don't ruin you're time with these roms... Next or next-next rom will be emui 4.1, at least this is the plan...

Emui 4 is no different from 4.1. Just install B596 for the newest Version. Don't even bother with 4.1

Sadly, esal will reduce performances on the new b596, the stock kernel is extremly well done, we must wait a new esal version to get the maximum out of this phone... Esal is getting really outdated, causing more damage than goods...

Mali released a new gpu driver for us, after the esal kernel and before the b596, so I'am afraid that Huawei updated the driver, and since esal is still the same, I won't bother to install it... I will wait next rom (b6xx?) and a new ESAL, then I will use them can you give me a 3dmark score?
Ps: i set up things in kernel adiutor and lspeed, I done those already, i just dont have cpu tresholds etc in adiutor

Could also be "my" ROM tweaks just dont like your kernel, **** happens

Both kernels are smooth. Good job to both of you! :good:
But like any device you have CPU Bins... My bin may be the same as Flar2's and your bin may be different...
Case in point... I cannot O/C my Nexus 6 with Flar2's kernel but it runs smooth. Agitates my I cant O/C but its smooth so I cant really complain.
Benchmarks are just for bragging rights anyways! How the every day usage feels is the important part. I think the two kerenls (yours and his) are equal for daily usage!
I would recommend either. They are both great!
Wish I had Kernel skills like that! Im just a ROM guy
I have stock nexus 9 decrypted, elemental x kernel OC to 2499 an GPU of to 984, deadline scheduler... Can't ever seem to get more than 58k....
So weird that the USB host guy says "stock ROM with elemental kernel" and Gert's like a 67k out the gate.
I cant even Check the CPU BIN because this is an Nvidia chip and that info isn't stored in the same place in android as it is ith Qualcomm chipsets.

Note 3 N9005 cant overclock processor

Hi guys, fairly new to modding my phone, have tried a few different roms and kernels over the last week, and have sort of settled on cyanogen CM12.1 lolliop 5.1.1. with the kernel that comes with the rom. I've been seeing a few posts/roms that claim its possible to overclock the processor to 2.7ghz now I've tried to install synapse, and stweaks neither of which seem compatible, so I have kernel adiutor installed, but the max frequency it will offer me is 2,3 ghz, am I missing something? can't seem to find any info, can anyone point me in the right direction please

No apps can overclock if the kernel doesn't support the overclock.
Not all phones can can reach so high overclock.
Get arters kernel for cm12.1. Or use cm12.1 by temasek which supports up to 2.5
Thanks for the advise, I'm going to install arters kernel now and see what happens
I installed the arter kernel, and still no overclocking, also reduced my Antutu bench from 45403 down to 3400ish, so gone back to cm12.1 kernel for now. any ideas why I can't increase mas cpu speed?
Maybe it doesn't support till 2.7GHz. Try different kernel

Ok. well I have an update, I flashed the kitkat 4.4 liquid smooth rom yesterday, and that allowed me to overclock the cpu but unfortunatly, even overclocked it was slower than Tamasks cm12.1 rom, I also tried the liquid smooth lollipop rom, but again, it didn't allow me to overclock the cpu, it was faster than the kitkat rom, but still not as fast as the cm12.1 so I've gone back to that for now. Its looking like something to do with the lollipop version of android thats stopping the cpu from being overclocked....
Hm strange

Resurrection renix 2.1 is best. Or stockmod with seven kernel. No other
motion rom 17
Ita depent of your needs. Simply I prefer clean experience and rich ways to customize my rom, debugging and battery life -> so my choise is cm11 plus cm11 kernel. Cm 12.1 is pretty good, but with renix kernel. Just read all pages from your rom choise and make a decision.

Which kernel is everyone using?

I successfully completed the conversion to dev mode and root my device. I have the multi-system kernel at this time but was wondering which kernel gives the best battery life and which are most people using?
The only 2 kernels I am aware of that are available are the emotion and multi-system ones. Is there something else?
My N4 performs well with this multi-system kernel Courtesy of @hsbadr
I've been using the Eceed Kernel by @kairi_zeroblade:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/kernel-xceed-t3344742
there is a verizon version. I had no problems flashing this onto my jasmine rom 4.3 running android 5.1.1.
One user reported loosing data(4g) with this kernel but didnt give any info on what rom or firmware he was running.
the kernel works great so far, much better battery life. Scores 82,000+ consistently on antutu.
The kernel comes pre configured. The only things you can change if you wish is the cpu voltages, cpu currents, and a couple of read ahead tweaks in Synapse
the only thing I noticed was some camera lag (a bit slower to open and to switch from front to rear) that @kairi_zeroblade said could be due to the strict cpu settings. I believe hes working on a 6.0 MM kernel right now that should work for verizon.
Definitely worth a shot to check it out!!!! If you have any feedback just post in the original thread.

Got same results in antutu which is pretty awesome as fast as s6 but have no data on kyubi'so rom
This one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...nt/firmware-safe-upgrade-to-lollipop-t3313224
I use the screen mirroring option all the time. I would say test that out to determine which kernel is best for you. I know one of the kernels floating around doesn't support screen mirroring which is a big no no for me.

Xceed comes pre tweaked. The only thing that may give a little more speed is changing the internal and SD card read ahead from 512 to 2048mb and cfq as the scheduler. Most other adjustments are untouchable

So looks like the kubyi rom will not work with this kernel. :/ I'm guessing the data fix will have to be patched into the Xceed kernel.
I haven't had the time to read through this:

Is it only for the n910t varient?
Does anyone have any info on the data fix for the verizon kernel so maybe @kairi_zeroblade can add it to the next build.?

What info do you want to know about the datafix for Kyubi? It has multisystem kernel included. So far that is the only kernel that is compatible with Kyubi. No changes to the kernel were made to make it work with Kyubi. It just happened to work when I tried flashing Kyubi on our phone. So it became part of the datafix since it worked so well. I think if anything, @kairi_zeroblade should talk with @hsbadr the developer of multisystem kernel. We got lucky that hsbadr's kernel worked !

I second the Eceed kernel. Im on the jasmine rom and was using the emotion kernel but I noticed a fast drain on the battery. Switched over to Eceed a few days ago and have experienced a huge improvement on battery life, without the sacrifice in speed. Thanks Joemill for the suggestion.
Read about Exceed kernel so I gave it a try and thats the one Im sticking with. Runs great, using Jasmine Rom with it as well, battery life is great and my phone is very quick, highly recommend it.

Overclock GPU/CPU

Hi
I wanna overclock somehow this phone, mainly cuz it's capable of alot, but huawei decided tot underclock everything. I made 2 pictures about some script lines, if i change the cpumaxprofile and gpumaxprofile value, that make it flashable zip, everything can be allright, or i need to change other values too?
http://imgur.com/a/FB7c0 - stock
http://imgur.com/a/cM3HD - modified(only gpu to 500,working well, but I want cpu to 1.3 and GPU to 533)
Maybe it is cappable even at 533mhz, but I will pus it only to that value if it will be stable, at stock voltage etc. http://imgur.com/a/TlJaS
If everything goes well, i will publish a zip for it.
Or can someone modify it? I can upload the zip with 500MHz modified if you want...

Sadly, no... Only GPU patch. I'm not sure about the CPU 'limit' and this is why FOR now I don't wanna look at it
Yes, it works on emui 4, even emui 4.0.3,even on sokkoban roms
This thread is very intersting, why don't you put in in the General or Android Development forums?
But still, I want CPU overclock so muchchhchc
P.S. I think I am sure about this, and if you overclock the CPU too much the voltages it would be too high and the CPU will fry, no? Or it will heat very much?
And now I remeber my older question: Does the GPU heat up more if I install this patch?
This mod doesn't overclock your GPU...500MHz is already available for scaling if you see gpufreq file in /sys/ folder..
This mod only makes use of it on more places ....Almost all places....
You too can configure it independently on basis of your needs......It can't overclock your device...
Maybe a custom kernel can

Indeed. Playing with this file is not going to help you to achieve a higher frequency than 1.2GHz for the CPU or 500MHz for the GPU, it's actually harder than that, and even if you overclocked it, it wouldn't suppose a big difference.
@XePeleato finally you're here This zip, as you can know, just "unlock" the "locked" mhz from huawei... Maybe you can make an "overclock" version for GPU/CPU ? We would all like it, for the new rom, B596...

I think it was from B584 when huawei white listed this app 3dmark and some other benchmark apps to use 500Mhz GPU and 1200Mhz CPU.......See through the stock files thoroughly and you'll get it... here is the screen shot BTW from stock normal_cpu_policy in system/etc/
And yes overclocking might not be possible with EMUI......maybe with lineage OS ......as in emui these things are locked in an image called mcuimage and that isn't....According to my knowledge even possible to change....even with Custom kernel....If XePeleato does it.....That would be a miracle

And yes overclocking might not be possible with EMUI......maybe with lineage OS ......as in emui these things are locked in an image called mcuimage and that isn't....According to my knowledge even possible to change....even with Custom kernel....If XePeleato does it.....That would be a miracle

I actually seen that, but I wanted to have 500MHz even in 3d games, or 2d,if I play one...
