I have a bricked Lenovo K30-W I'm trying to fix (freezes on startup). My computer (Windows 10) won't recognise it when I connect it to the USB port. In device manager, the phone is displayed as unknown, with error "Device descriptor request failed". I tried connecting to different USB version ports, I tried installing multiple different drivers and software, but nothing helped. Adb doesn't recognise it as well, even if I boot the phone to fastboot with volume+power buttons. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Update: problem seems fixed. I used another USB cable and plugged it into an older version USB port. It is now recognised.

i just got a quantum for work, when i plug it in via the micro usb cable it recognized it, installed drivers and all looks good under device manager.
the issue i get is when i try to plug the phone in to update it via zune, i get a "connection error" please unplug, restart the device and try again. i've tried different computers (both running 7x64) different usb cables, even did a factory reset on the phone to no avail.
anyone have any idea?
Has anyone seen this before? I connect my usb cable from my phone to my PC, and I get this error. The phone will not show up in my computer.
MTP USB device shows a yellow exclamation point in device manager. Gives a code 10, device cannot start error.
Samsung USB driver 1..5.45 is installed.

my phone is running blisspop , cmw touch is installed . when i try to connect my phone to my PC , error message saying USB device not recognized , and saying device is malfunctioned.
i tried everything.
tried my phone with my friends laptop
changed usb cable
tried same usb with my friends G2 which is working fine. so this is not issue with USB cable.
so i tried to flash kdz to get rid of problem, i entered my phone "Download mode" my pc still displaying same error message.
is it hardware related issue?
It could be a hardware problem. I'm going through a similar case (but it's not a hardware issue though). By default you shold turn off the phone, connect the usb to the PC (not the phone) and then Hold Vol+ and Power, Until you see it entered download mode, THEN you plug the USB port to the phone.

My X720 entres normally in these modes , but pc doesn't recognize device. I tested with different ports, pcs and cables. All same. I notice that in device manager that recognize it as an uknown usb device , failed to read descriptor error 43. My drivers are fine, work flawlessy with my Le 2. My phone charges normally. Also OTG doesn't work . Any suggestions ?
Had the same problem with my x727 what i did was (while leaving the phone connected to the pc:unistall the driver and then reconnecting the phone to the PC) that fixed my problem

after replacing the motherboard, my phone now with his new motherboard (used) is not recognized on the computer
when plugged by usb cable it does charge but there is no data changing possibility, as windows pop message say "USB device not recognized"
and I can't even detect it in ODIN with download mod to flash a new firmware or so

different windows version
mobile is already on MTP+ADB in usb settings
any ideas please ?
