after replacing the motherboard, my phone now with his new motherboard (used) is not recognized on the computer
when plugged by usb cable it does charge but there is no data changing possibility, as windows pop message say "USB device not recognized"
and I can't even detect it in ODIN with download mod to flash a new firmware or so
tried with different usb cables
different computer
different windows version
mobile is already on MTP+ADB in usb settings
any ideas please ?

I have zenfone 5 (16gb 2gb) version whenever i connect my phone to charger it shows charging using USB.....and when i coonect my phone to Computer it does not recognize.....plz someone help
Try with another USB cable, or try your USB cable with another phone on another computer.

-changing ports
-changing USB cables
-restarting PC
-booting phone to safemode
-reformatting phone
-settings>storage>USB computer connection says USB is now disconnected if clicked.

Hi Basically plugged my S4 i9505 in via usb. Nothing shows in my computer, but phone remains charging. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all samsung usb drivers but it does nothing. Tried installing kies/older usb drivers, still no luck. Regardless of if there are drivers or not on my pc, there is no detection what so ever. My pc is detecting my second S4 I9505 perfectly. Anyone know the solution to this?

Tap 5 times buildnumber in settings menu under: about phone to open developer settings. Enable USB debugging. Now you can choose what to do when phone is plugged in pc.

USB debugging is Enable still nothing happen
USB debugging is not required in order to have the phone recognized by the computer.
Have you tried different USB cables and USB ports? Is the phone detected on other computers?
i had the same problem.... and we found out that the pins or the usb connection sh1t from the phone doesn`t make good contact. si try to push a little but or force up and down the usb cable to the usb from phone maybe you will manage to find a stable connection or something.
when i connect to phone to the pc i have to hold the usb cable connected to the phone in a weird position. that works for me
I have a bricked Lenovo K30-W I'm trying to fix (freezes on startup). My computer (Windows 10) won't recognise it when I connect it to the USB port. In device manager, the phone is displayed as unknown, with error "Device descriptor request failed". I tried connecting to different USB version ports, I tried installing multiple different drivers and software, but nothing helped. Adb doesn't recognise it as well, even if I boot the phone to fastboot with volume+power buttons. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Update: problem seems fixed. I used another USB cable and plugged it into an older version USB port. It is now recognised.
Whenever I plug my phone into my pc I get this error. I tried 3 different computers and 4 different cables. I installed the Samsung usb drivers and adb drivers and I still get the error. I've had some people tell me the problem could be the cable, the charging port on the phone or the motherboard. What's wrong and how can I fix it?

So I have this strange issue, when i connect my phone windows says "Usb device not recognized" and my phone is just charging without any notification for file transfer option. even tried usb debugging no results. When connected in fastboot mode windows doesnt even show usb device not recognized. no action in windows. I have tried almost all basic fixes and also have replaced the entire charging board. The bootloader is locked.... and i wanted to mod the phone but unfortunately it doesnt connect to pc.
