HI all, long time android user here (had the OG droid, then the Thunderbolt) just got a new GN3. After dealing with the thunderbolt for so many years, I was happy to be getting something in the Galaxy series so I could go back to AOSP... only to find out the GN3 will probably never get an unlocked bootloader, and thus, never have AOSP. Le sigh. Ah well, at least I find touch wiz slightly better than sense. ANYWAY, I had a few questions concerning touch wiz, rooting and other things, and was hoping you guys might be able to help. Any and all responses are appreciated.
1.) Are we still worried about using Kingo? I'm already on MJ7 and I have a feeling some of the stuff I'm going to want to do with my phone will require root access.
2.) Does safestrap entirely new partitions for each rom? I'm just wondering if I can load a few roms onto my phone to test them out and easily go back and forth.
3.) Every time I plug in an aux out cable for my car stereo the volume is reduced to a certain level. Then when I turn up the volume my phone warns me about hearing loss. Is there any way to turn this off? (I think I saw on a different page someone talking about needing root access.) (ALSO, WTF Samsung, are we all children? Oddly enough, this is only a concern when I'm using that as a general output for speakers, I always listen to music on my headphones at a very low level.)
4.) Has someone compiled a list of all the apps that come on the stock rom and what they do? I'm just trying to turn off as much stuff as possible to de-bloat and improve performance and battery life. If there's a list with all the apps one can safely turn off without affecting anything, that would be great. Also, is there any way to turn off certain apps like VZ messaging, backup assistant, etc, or do I need root and another app to do that?
5.) Is there a way to adjust the settings on the default keyboard? (Mostly I'm trying to adjust some of the autocorrect settings.) Or are you guys using an aftermarket keyboard app?
6.) What are you guys using for screen protectors? (I know there are a million threads for this, but I thought I'd just add it in.)
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Welcome to the Galaxy family. I too had a Thunderbolt, long since retired thank goodness.
I'll answer what I can:
1) Depending on who you ask there will be different views on Kingo. I personally did not use it, I rooted when I had MI9. If you are concerned, there is a post on here detailing that you can remove the Kingo SU app; and how to flash another.
2) Yes. SS is perfect for fast, safe swapping of ROMs.
3) I believe you must be rooted and using Xposed and Wanam to accomplish this. I may be wrong though.
4) No list that I know of. To turn off system apps you'll need root.
5) May want to check your Settings -- Language and Input to see if the settings you are looking for are there.
6) I bought a Spigen case and their screen protector for now. Waiting for the glass protectors to come down in price.
HTH

Right, wasn't the Thunderbolt a mess? Over the last 6 months there were a few devs that put out some roms making it actually usable... but it was still rough going. Glad to be on a new device.
1.) If just switching out the Super User app is the biggest worry, that should be easy and doesn't bother me.
3.) Is this as simple as downloading the Wanum Xposed app? I've read about that in various posts on here, but never really got an idea of what it was... it's just an app that opens up a lot more customization on Touch Wiz?
4.) If there's not a big list, is there a small list of the best things to turn off to increase battery and performance?
5.) Found it, thanks.
6.) I'm currently rocking a Spigen Bounce case and one of their cheaper plastic screen protectors... but my install was pretty crappy and I want a new one cause it's gonna drive me crazy.
Thanks for all the help.
Oh yeah, it certainly was. Big, bulky, and slow.
1) One other thing to mention is that your IMEI may be sent out during the exploit process. Plenty of people have used the method and haven't said anything bad happened as a result; so hopefully that holds true since this is still the only root method for MJ7.
3) Pretty much. You would download the X posed framework. Then, from within Xposed you can download and install the Wanam module. Then from within the Wanam module there is an option to disable the volume warnings. There is a good bit of other modules available within Xposed to adjust other aspects of your phone as well.
4) Still no list that I know of; I'll try and look deeper in a bit. What I did originally once rooted on stock was use TiBu to freeze unwanted apps; then used greenify on others that I wanted to keep, but wanted to control when they would use cpu, data, etc.
5) NP, glad to hear.
6) Haha; I know the feeling. I have the Neo Hybrid; loving it. It doesn't offer as much protection, but I wanted to keep the phone thin. It has been dropped from about 5 ft up, and so far so good.

Hey guys, I just upgraded from a crappy old HTC 3D Evo phone, and I never cared much for it due to its buggy software so I never really cared to take care of it or preserve it in any way. I initially picked up a Samsung Galaxy S5, but my friend told me the LG G3 was better and cheaper. Some brief research led me to the same conclusion so I traded in my $650 Samsung S5 for the $600 LG G3. Bigger screen, 50% more memory, 100% more storage - it's a no brainer, isn't it?
Are there any experienced users who would care to share what they'd do to optimize the phone? By optimize, I mean increasing battery life, performance, usability, convenience, and basically anything relating to those categories. I'm considering rooting the phone to get the most out of it. Never rooted a phone before, but I don't find it daunting (especially with all the guides). I just want to get rid of any background bloat, and set up my phone so that it uses the battery minimally unless I'm using it, and I possibly might even want to just run it at 1080P for superior battery life and performance. I've heard of people underclocking the CPU when the screen is turned off and was wondering if that was beneficial or worth doing. I just want my phone to be lean, efficient, and extremely considerate of the battery life. The one thing I actually appreciated about the S5 was the ability to run it in Ultra Power Saver mode which did a great job at running the phone in a lean state when I wasn't actively using it - if I could do anything similar to that, that'd be cool.
Any general tips or personal preferences on how use their phone is appreciated.
(P.S. I posted this here in the General Section instead of Q&A because the Q&A forum seemed to be filled with threads of people having specific problems, while I'm trying to create a thread that could be potentially useful to anyone who just grabbed the phone and wants to know experienced user's opinions on maintaining the optimizing the device)
To tell you the truth I dont think you can get too far without root. So that would be my nmbr 1 advice

Is it okay to root using that 1-touch root program or do you recommend a specific way? I'll be sure to grab Greenify and I just downloaded Nova Launcher. Is Greenify the only battery-related app I should be looking at? I looked around the Play store and many of them seem to be heavy on bloat, useless features, and advertising.
Thank you :highfive:
Is there any apps that manage my network signals intelligently? For example, if I'm at my house, it uses Wi-fi for data and turns off mobile data antennas? Or is that unnecessary or a bad idea? Wi-fi does use less power than 3G, correct?

First, go with Stump Root at the LG G3 Original Android Development section.
Second, greenify is great. Use it wisely. There are other good battery saving apps around there, but you should be careful with the fake ones. I'm currently using Unbounce for wakelock optimizing, but there is also wakelock detector which is great.
Third, about the data... well, I used to have a smart radio feature with a custom rom back on the Nexus 4. But I dont think you will find any app to do that easily. For that, you could try Tasker, which is great but not so simple of configure. But the possibilities are endless.
Welcome and good luck!
Use wakelock detector/betterbatterystats to identify what you need to greenify
I use green power as an effective battery saving app, as well as greenify, xposed unbounce etc
Awesome recommendations, digging Greenify a lot, and Stump was ridiculously easy to use. I saw someone recommend Deep Sleep Battery Saver in another thread and I've been liking that as well. Next step is I plan to use 1080P tweak in this thread, this CPU thermal throttling mod, and these speed-boost tweaks.
With all of these changes, my G5 should be very speedy compared to stock as well as much more considerate of battery life. When/if LG fixes the sharpening, I might switch back to 1440p.
I don't know if it's well known, but I found the overall speed/performance to be a little slow. I'm talking about opening apps, and loading them, before they can be used. A simple thing I did was turn off all Moto stuff (Assist, Actions, Display). Not that the phone was bad as it's a very smooth overall device, but after turning off Moto, it really made a difference. All apps open and load much faster, and the UI seems snappier too. I know this may not be good for those who use Moto, but for me the trade off of turning it off is better than the little times I used it. Just thought I'd share in case there are people who are looking to gain a bit of speed.
Another tip is to enable developer options, and change the animations from 1x to .5x. Huge difference in opening apps, and general overall use.

There's not really any bloat. Since the phone is not carrier locked you only get three apps not from Google. Alert, Migrate, and Moto. I guess if you really wanted you can disable the Google apps you don't use, but they are just the standard apps you would use anyway (at least I do) like Maps, Gmail, Hangouts, etc.

Ah sorry, I meant more than just preinstalled apps. I meant background apps and services as well.
I use DroidWall to deny network access to everything except the stuff I need (gmail/web browser/weather widget), and looking at firewall logs I see a ton of moto and google-related services trying to connect to the network even if I don't use them. (DW groups them all into a few "app" entries, so I haven't had time to go through and find the exact culprits). Some of the google ones can be easily disabled (hangouts, drive, etc), but there's more than just those three moto apps that are trying to get network access.
For example, there seems to be some sort of service (Moto Checkin maybe?) that displays a ! warning symbol in the wifi signal meter if that service is not able to connect to some server, even if network access is working in other applications. Disabling that service would help cut down on RAM/CPU usage (even if it's only minute) and network usage (it seems to do this check every 15min or so).
EDIT:
Found what is causing the exclamation mark. It's an android system process that pings google servers to determine if the phone has a connection to the internet and not just the router. I was thinking it had to do with some Moto service because Droidwall grouped "Android System" in the same app category as a bunch of useless Moto services.
This thread details a bit more about it and how to disable it (I went with method 2A): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58252752&postcount=38
Not having a service trying to ping google every few minutes should help improve battery life and a minute amount of RAM/CPU usage.

/ according to me all the motorola phones come without bloatware and by removing mentioned apps i dont think there must be significant improvements. But definitely changing animations will definitely improve your performance but not the moto apps
Is the device still have memory leak bug. My device is lagging like hell after half an hour use.
The antutu benchmark is also 16163 which is very less i think. My Android One topped upto 22000.
I wrote a post similar to this as well, is there a way we can consolidate it to just this one?

What's the best way to do this? Go into Apps and disable, or is there a better way to "turn it off"?
Disabling apps basically stops them from ever being active, period: once disabled they don't run anymore, don't have any services run anymore, and they disappear aka become invisible in the apps tray. The only thing they still do is "hang around" meaning they take up space on the device but that's a given. With a proper root and Titanium Backup (the full purchased version) you can completely uninstall said apps but there's always a chance you'll remove something that's integral to something else, especially when you're dealing with either the Google framework stuff or on Motorola devices the Moto system underpinnings.
Best course of action: go into Settings - Apps - and Force close the app, delete all the cached data if there is any and then disable the app(s) as required on the device itself and then go from there. If there's absolutely no issues ever with the functionality of the device then sure, you can do the root/Titanium Backup/uninstall route if necessary but you're not really going to save a ton of space overall.
Most times, disabling an app is more than enough to get it out of the way and stop bothering you for whatever reason(s).

Well you have tweaked stuff since day one. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I'm running stock, and the only change system wise I did was change Dev options for animations. I have no complaints as I switch back and forth from this, and my Note 3, and I only notice some slowness opening apps, but no lag, stutter, or anything I would consider bad performance. Maybe try flashing stock image, factory reset, and see how it is then.

I have to say I agree here, I am also running Stock. I have not seen any serious lag on ths phone except slightly slower loading. And I know what lag feels like as I am the not so proud owner of a TF700 tablet....
All I have done is mod the animations likewise and disabled as much as I can that I don't use.
I run stock and only modified the animation speed and must say the phone lags much more than I anticipated.
Must be Lollipop because my parents both have the Moto G 4g (kitkat) and everytime I need to help them it feels much more fluid than my Moto e.
From loading apps and the play store to even swiftkey that seems to load so much quicker, very weird.
Just tested it yesterday because I thought I was making things up and put my dads phone and mine next to each other and the speed difference when loading apps was making me sad.
I just picked this phone up yesterday to hold me over until the next moto X, or maybe the next nexus.
came from a nexus 5 (only had it a month and well i couldn't live with its awful battery life, it was so bad maybe only 6 hours per charge and the battery was fairly new). now this phone is noticeably slower, but its really not so bad. I do think though that something in this software build for 5.0.2 is slowing it down. when i am using the phone it seems like theres plenty of free ram, but it just feels a little stuttery scrolling through things like a facebook feed. I had a moto x 2013, and a razr M before that, and am a big motorola fan, but I just cant see how this is so slow. it seems like it'd have to be faster than a razr M (which is same resolution, and 1GB ram) but it seems to me that something is really wrong here.
hopefully 5.1 comes out soon.

There is this app called Super Touch that phone arena covered. Supposed to smoothen the touch experience on android by a significant margin. The developer offers no explanation as to how the app works. I've yet to test it because it is building something right now and it takes a long while to finish. From what i can make out , i think it builds some sort of scrolling cache and offloads them to GPU ? I don't know the internal android structure that well and analyzing the source if there is one , is beyond me. If there is a developer that can explain the intricate workings of this app to people , so people could stop comparing this to "snake oil" if it's legit , if it's not we can ask google to remove it from google play , that'd be great. Thanks.

Why is this such a great deal?
Pros
* It seems to work
* It passed google's requirements and malware checks
* Does not need root
Cons
* Closed source
Just because we (you) can't comprehend how it works, is not a reason to question its viability.
Keeping it closed source and not revealing its workings is just a way to prevent competition and/or code copying.
There are lots of fake apps that pretend to be doing something you should be more worried about.
I wouldn't really worry about this one, but if you don't trust it, don't use it.
To answer your question; I would say its either one of these
* Animation caching
* Reducing element-sizes, and thus stretching it to save system resources (since the app needs to know you screen resolution)
* System optimizations for animations (Altho these things usually require root)
On a side note, since you are posting this on the Nexus 4 forums, I assume you own/use one. The article you linked clearly says older devices benefit more from this app, since newer/better devices already handle things pretty smoothly. This means that the result of this app on a Nexus 4 may be unnoticeable. Could it be that you question this app because you don't see any result?

No , it could not be because i had not tested the app when i wrote that. (Had you bothered to read , you'd know.) We question everything on this forum , that's how we learn. I did not assume that it was "fake" by the way , if that's why you're hostile (and arrogant). People on other forums compared this to "snake oil". I wanted to share the app with friends so it could grow. That's why i wanted to make out how it works. I can't share this app before knowing that it's not "snake oil".
When i said i'm not "that" affiliated with Android ecosystem , i didn't mean i'm illiterate btw.
Anyway , i could already make those out from the description of the app (Yes , i too read it ). I wanted more of a technical answer but thank you , nevertheless...
On a side note , In a help thread please just answer the question if you can , skip the lectures people didn't ask for. I asked "available devs" to explain the intricate workings of an app so as to clear the air , not only did you not provide that but you tried to give me a lesson on morality. Please refrain from doing that. And please do not write a lengthy and angry reply to this. I'm just not interested in arguing with you.

This sounded to me as if you just wanted it to be removed.
My post was not intended to sound the way you describe it, and reading it again I wonder how you came to the conclusion I was 'teaching you a lesson'. Just because I did not overflood my post with happy smileys and kind words does not mean I'm hostile and/or trying to be arrogant.
To me, your post sounds the exact same was as how you described mine.
That aside, here are my technical thoughs.
The app stores quite a lot of data on your phone, close to 7MByte on my phone, to an app-size of 2,86MByte, so I assume it makes use of some kind of caching.
It probably uses some other techniques for different element optimizations, meaning not all improvements are via caching.
My guess is it takes the animations it knows, and "replays" them, capturing the animation and storing it in its data for quick access. When you start the app and set it up, it needs time and says "building fast event for x action", which is why I think it works this way.
From the app:
When using the same smooth level, the better the GPU performance is, the smoother the operation wil be. If the GPU performance is not up to the demand, it may cause frame loss when sliding screen. Higher level may take longer time to start, a better CPU may take less time.
Click to collapse
The animation is probably "scaled" down in size, which makes it less computing-heavy. This also explains why the higher the setting, the longer it takes. (more compression = more computing power needed. Since a better CPU can do more instructions per second, it will be faster at rendering its own "database" of the animations, which is logical.
Not sure what the author meant with "better the GPU performance is, the smoother the operation will be". Operation could either refer to the process Super Touch does, or the process of animating the animation when using the phone. Personally I think this refers to using the GPU for rendering animations normally (without Super Touch), which can cause frame drops as he explains. GPU's with lower performance will have a harder time rendering an animation than a GPU with high preformance. Pre-rendering takes this load off of the GPU, making it more "smooth" in real performance.
With this method its can just 'grab' an animation from its memory and 'play' it instead of calculating it on-the-fly.
Looking at the permissions the apps needs, the app uses "draw over other apps". This is probably used to "show" the animations it stored instead of the animations of the app that is being used. How it is actually able to replace this animation is something Im not sure of.
The app has permission to run at startup, this is probably needed to "load" the core service that does this replacement.
I do not exactly know why it needs permission to read phone status & identity and change audio settings, but my guess would be that it is related to the power saving mode.
The developer offers no explanation as to how the app works.
Click to collapse
Unless he does, we can probably only assume how his app works. Decompiling the app and looking at the source might give you an answer, but this is not something I can help you with, mainly because my last decompiling experience is 3 or 4 years back.
Using it for 2 days. And I have to admit that it works, really well, without harming battery, which is a amazing win-win solution.
I asked on the Google play store and get the answer from the developer: the app offload the working process from the CPU to the GPU, hence everything gets much smoother and the performance level depends on your device's GPU.
After optimization, sliding is very smooth.

Samsung has made these steps complicated so that only the most enthusiastic people would want to try rooting.
Android manufacturers are starting to follow the footsteps of Apple. They are also not wanting people to mess with their devices. Huawei has also stopped providing unlock codes for their smartphones.
not sure why exactly you want to root s10+.
you can customize this device 100% and also block all those bloatwares without rooting.. so think again
There are many reasons to want to root a device which include systemwide add blocking, Titanium backup, uninstalling rather than disabling bloatware, etc. Perhaps this way of thinking of the reason for why the majority of new Pixel 3Xl buyers came from Samsung devices. https://www.androidauthority.com/google-pixel-3-churn-report-974588/

well, im a user who used to root every single samsung device. but i never root my s10. i managed to block ALL my ads using adguard. Why would i need Titanium backup when i can use package disabler and do the same thing (oh and by the way i still have a Pro titanium key and i love that app). i dont see a big difference between disabling bloatwares and uninstalling them. as long as they are not coming up im ok with that.
Try and search the disadvantages of rooting. Last time yes, you need to root your device to customize but now without root you can use your phone with all those so called unlocked features. just FYI my battery last for 26hours+ with 7-8 hours SOT.
Just my 2cents
happy rooting.

Here is a detailed guide on How to Root Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+/S10e using Magisk canary. Do remember that Samsung has introduced "Vaultkeeper" feature which makes it a little different to root latest Samsung devices.

First, Adguard is NOT a systemwide blocker of adds. Second, some people like me, do not want any adds period. Third, Package disabler cannot backup app content like Titanium can. It only allows you to disable the app, which means these apps still take room in your phone.

First, Adguard is NOT a systemwide blocker of adds, which means you can and will still see adds. Second, some people like me, do not want any adds period, so the only way is through root. Third, Package disabler cannot backup app content like Titanium can. It only allows you to disable the app, which means these apps still take room in your phone. In addition, there are certain levels of customization which can only be optained through rooting ex.. 3minit battery, etc... .And while your may get great battery life, it could be even better if you could tweak your kernel with FK Kernel manager. Yes, I agree root is less of a necessity today than it was years ago. However, for some, it is essential and a choice they don't wish to relinquish to OEMs. Yes, there are genuine dangers to rooting. But it is a choice each individual should make for themselves, not one made by the OEM. Just, my 2 cents.

wouldn't root a phone when using samsung pay and pass.
used to do titanium backup and remove unused apps but when system update comes, i couldn't restore them to original condition and thus no way to update.
not taking the flash update route.

I do know Adguard is not a Systemwide blocker. But it does a very good job blocking ads which is exactly what i want. To me the end result is what matters.
Do you think only titanium can backup your apps data? there are so many apps which can do this without rooting your phone. And im surprised you're talking about your phone space. You do know that s10+ is a high end phone which has a 128GB inbuilt and can extend that to another 512 GB if im not mistaken right? system apps/bloatwares wont even take a GB of your phones space.
> And while your may get great battery life, it could be even better if you could tweak your kernel with FK Kernel manager.
I do not wish to make it even better. because i've already tweaked this to the max and whats the point tweaking some more? when you have a powerful phone. Also only a small % of people do these kind of kernel changes.
battery mod all just a reason you tell yourself just coz you wanted to root your phone. Surely you can find an alternate method.
Anyways if anyone ask me about rooting s10 variants i will say dont. warranty gone, samsung pay - gone (one of the best payment method), updates need to do it manually.. some of the secure payment / banking apps wont work.
Well but i do agree with you on one thing. It's individual preference. If i decided to root i will defend my choice by talking about all those advantages. And if i choose not to root i will be talking about the disadvantages lol.
But really now a days rooting a powerful device doesnt make any sense at all - at least to an average user. im really enjoying my s10+ with nova launcher+good look customization+KWGT widgets+package disabler+adguard. It's almost like a rooted device for me now
some additional features are just a step away without rooting. simply setup adb on your pc, connect your phone with usb debugging and send some adb commands to allow WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS, CHANGE_CONFIGURATION, DUMP, depending on the app requirements.
for my use case, i had tasker and secure settings app.
on landscape orientation, it would automatically change input method to minuum (low profile keyboard). used to be using multiling though.

To my knowledge, Titanium IS the best and only app thst can backup APK content fully, quickly and effectively. If you knows if another app that can backup APK data without root effectively please share. I would love to try it. There are thousands of apps that will backup you APKs, but none will backup their data. I have tried too many to only be disappointed at the end. If Google was able to do this effectively, I would surely stop rooting phones.
Not everyone needs a Terrabyte of capacity in their phone. It's a phone, for God's sake. I keep tens of thousands of pics and videos on mine, and still have plenty of room left; and because it's a Pixel, they are also saved in their original resolution on the cloud and are synced and available on any and all devices I log into. I also have over 230 apps installed and have plenty of room left. I won't argue that it's nicer to have more space than not, but IMO, it's not necessary for most people. It's mostly a strategy to keep getting people to buy a newer model with more this or that. Sure, a Pentabyte of space would be even better to have but I will never need it on my phones.
BTW never met anyone before who said they "didn't have a need for a better battery life on their phone". Given a chance, I think most people would tweak it to improve it.You must be pretty lucky with your phone. I've already seen forums about the battery life on the S10+ and how to make it better. The one one battery optimization is already 35 pages long! Either you are a light user, or you got very lucky with your phone.

To your very own knowledge you say Titanium is the best, ok fine. thats perfectly fine. Because there was this one time i was so obsessed with Titanium and that app was the 1st app i will ever install soon after rooting my device.
Reg backing up data, i do agree, that is a challenge. without rooting its difficult, but its NOT impossible. i transferred all my s9+ apps/data to s10+ without any issues. You know how? nowadays 90% apps have inbuilt backup solution. So you can easily backup your data to cloud etc. That way you can restore them without any issue. The only app data i had to redo - Duo security.
Yes, I do agree, no one ever need terabyte of capacity. I only have 256GB and I also have thousands of photos/videos. Why do you need to save tens of thousands of pics and videos in your mobile? it's a phone, for gods sake. You do know that you can backup to cloud and remove those photos. That way you can save space. So if you have enough space, why you're bothered about "disabled" apps vs uninstalled apps?
Do you know why i said "didn't have a need for a better battery life on their phone"? I'm a s10+ user. S10+ is a very very powerful phone with a very good battery capacity/hardware etc. I'm not a light user. People having issues with s10+ battery coz they dunno how to tweak their device. Just because there are 1001 tips to save battery, its not necessary to do them all. For example, people say reduce brightness, reduce the resolution, screen type etc. Whats the point doing all those things when you own a powerful, expensive phone? You MUST use some of those nice features without thinking much about battery usage. That's why i said I'm against doing every single things to save even 0.1% battery. I will only do reasonable tweaks and if my phone can give me 24hr + battery life then im more than happy.
Do you know that a lot of people dont use android Facebook app coz they all think it will drain the battery etc? i know that, but im still using FB, instagram etc etc. May be like you said you've never met a person who said i tweaked enough. But I've met them
I really respect all XDA devs. I still have 2 S7 devices with CF root + titanium backup etc etc. So its not that i dont like rooting. What im trying to tell you is, its not necessary to root. If you weigh the advantages / disadvantages, I only can see very few disadvantages.
You have no idea how many power hungry apps I have. I just know how to tweak them, block background access, block data access, use proper firewall etc. etc.
I'm not gonna argue with you whether rooting is good or not. Coz like i said, you have a fixed mindset that rooting is the only way. For that only im replying telling thats not the only way. Anyways, I have nothing against you. You root your device or dont root your device that got nothing to do with me. I'm just sharing that by rooting you gonna loose quite a lot of good features/apps + warranty. Last time we all had to take that risk (including me) because we literally had no choice. Now it's not like that.
Good luck, and for those who wish to root your s10+, please think again. That's all i can tell.
