[Q] ROOT problems / Flashing impossible

What should I do to really have a " completely rooted N9005" ???
I need some suggestion of the "experts" about the fact that my SM-N9005 , that " seems to be rooted " ( and this is confirmed launching the app " root checker" and obtaining the result " This device has root access" ...) ...but , despite this apparent status , it provides me the following issues :
a) I cannot use CWM mode to flash any new ROM nor any other patch using .zip file ; when I try to do a flash , using the option " apply update from external storage" as in this options list :
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
it seems to start to flash but after few seconds I obtain a RED message in the bottom oif the page , like :
" E:signature verification failed"
and in yellow
--Appling Multi-CSC ...
Applied the CSC-code : XTC
Successfully applied multi-CSC
install from sdcard complete
But in reality anything happen , the sistuation is exactly the same as before ...
b) I cannot do any back up ( EFS nor other kind of back up ) ; so , every time I try to flash even using MOP ( it works, but even MOP seems to have some problem..) I get a new ROM installed but with problems... sometime the phone is blocked with the " samsung logo and the Blue led" and I need to restert it with ODIN .....and I need to reinstall all in manual mode
in order to provide to the experts additional info , here are other details

first of all , thanks for your support
but I tried , without success , to flash this with odin ; ( I used odin 3.04 ) ; it remains " waiting" for a very long time ( 15 minutes..) without any action , any flash....
I did the test twice, same result....
Any other suggestion?
what could I do to do a deep cleaning of some wrong setting ?

Strange that your phone shows "Qualcomm Secureboot: None"
In other phones it should be "Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable (CSB)"

Your phone seems to have a peculiar setting on secureboot + SWREV configuration, and also seems to be on the (original ?) XTC (Philippines) CSC.
One of the things that I would try (given that your knox is already 0x1) would be to change CSC and write BTU MI7 firmware (and eventually check if CSC actually changed from XTC to BTU). After that you should try again writing Philz recovery.
Another thing to check would be your current bootloader version (and also the bootloader after you write BTU MI7 firmware), the command in adb is:
adb shell getprop ro.boot.bootloader
(or just "getprop ro.boot.bootloader" in a terminal prompt directly on the phone).
I found the solutions !!!!

Interesting, what firmware do you have now? And how are the switches listed in download mode? And what CSC do you have now? Do you have your IMEI back and is the phone registered on the network (and you can make/receive calls)? Is WiFi also working OK?

G'day
I had the exact same issue with my SM-G900I. With the suggestion from an XDA senior; Try flashing with stock firmware from samsmobile.com for your particular model with Odin.
Trying this suggestion as I respond to your predicament. Shall keep you posted on the outcome.
Peace. :what:

If your Phone is Not Rooted & Still Official Recovery You are using Try to Recover with Samsung Kies Most of the issues it'll solve...
Did you Check before Flashing the Drivers & Proper AP/PDA section??
More important are you Flashing the Correct Firmware for your Device???
Yeah cant connect to kies back then but i found a trick to passe that fail in odin when upgrading to 5.0.1 : when it freezed i reopened the download mode and put the n910h root in odin and then it succeded and the phone rebooted and bootlooped i then could access the recovery mode , i wiped everything and the phone just worked but with the 4.4.4 .
I tried one more time with the same procedure but when i opened the recovery mode i just hit reboot and the phone now has a rooted lollipop 5.0.1 even though i got a fail in odin.
But i v got very strange stuff going on with my phone :
-First i checked my s/n and imei with phone info and it showed a N910C not N910H
-I dont have a csc code and when i want to check it with phone info this popup shows up :
Error type 2
android.util.AndroidException: Can't connect to activity manager is the system running?
at
com.android.commands.am.Am.onRun(Am.Java:301)

I just dont find the csc code ..
A dm-verity verification failed shows up in the recovery mode

Just to make sure

Don't know if it's rooted or not ( after the event) . Many user's told me to use odin . I have seen many devices (samsung devices) in download mode ...
Odin mode (in red)
product name : *****
current binary : Custom
system status : Custom
and so on
but mine say's
odin mode ( in white)
product name : Sm-t231
system status : Custom

if that's a problem please reply me ,
thanks in advance.

S5 G900F stuck in a bootloop

somebody can tell me step by step what to do? I'm stuck in a bootloop and i tried to install the stock firmware with odin but it keeps failing Odin says that after i started it, everything is ok and i get a "pass" in Odin but it just keeps rebooting i only can get into download mode, not into recovery mode And when the phone starts to boot, i just get this black screen with the samsung galaxy S5 on it and in the top corner in blue letters "recovery booting ..." and then it goes black and restart ...
Can anybody help me i'm kinda desperate

Whatdo i do with the file? Flash it with odin and then? Do i flash a new rom after it?
i tried to flash it again and used that PIT file but still the same result any other suggestions? Or is my phone ready for the recycle bin? :crying:
Flash it whit the rom
Does it say G900F in download mode?
Odin mode
Product Name : SM-G900F
Current binary : Samsung official
System status : Custom
Reactivation lock (KK) : Off
Knox waranty void : 0x1 (2)
Qualcomm secureboot : Enable (CSB)
Ap survey : S1, T1, A1, A1, P1
Secure download : Enable
UDC start
Thats what it says ...
Sounds like something in DATA is corrupted, which ODIN does not wipe
So flashing ROMs with ODIN won't fix it, you need to wipe the phone
Almost the same thing was happening with another member the other day, using ODIN option "Nand erase all" while flashing the ROM to wipe the phone, and then using KIES3 to recover the firmware was their fix
After Nand erase all, the phone would only enter download mode, KIES3 fixed that with the firmware recovery process
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/
--
Or you could try flashing TWRP with ODIN, and see if you can get into TWRP recovery first, factory reset from there
I tried to put TWRP on my S5 with odin but that didn't work ...
Now i just flashed the phone with a new rom and with "Nand erase all" ticked and then do a firmware upgrade with "Kies" but unfortunately that didn't worked either :crying:
any other suggestions?
In ODIN, uncheck "Auto reboot"
Flash TWRP
When it completes disconnect USB and remove battery to power off
Replace battery and immediately boot into recovery
Volume Up & Home & Power
ANd you need to add more details other than "It didn't work" or we can't help
Ok i did what you suggested and at first it starts up with this on the screen :
Recovery booting .... (in blue letters)
Set warranty bit: recovery (in yellow letters)
then it just reboots without this text on it but it just keeps rebooting ... i dont get to see any thing else but the samsung galaxy s5 powered by android screen ...
And what does KIES firmware recovery say?
With the kies program i get thesame result ... it just stucks in the bootloop ...
No, what does KIES say when you run the firmware recovery?
I'm going to leave you to it, can't help you when you just keep repeating the same thing "Doesn't work"
Im not home at the moment,i will give it another go when im at home and tell you what it sayw
Ok, i opened Kies and searched for that emergency recovery firmware that you talked about but i don't see a option to select my phone??
Here is a printscreen from kies and my phone connected i download mode ...

Ok, you may close this topic, i brought the s5 to a repairshop and they are gonna check what the could do ... possible even necessary to replace the touchscreen and lcd according to the salesmen :s
