There are many guides regarding this. Here is one: [Guide]Add Extra Options In About Ssection In Settings Menu In Any Mobile[New Method] .
Wanna add an image with your rom name in Settings > About? Here is a guide for that: [GUIDE][MOD] How to add custom banner in Settings "About Device" .You can find more guides regarding this as well.
Here is an amazing collection of guides and mods: [Guides & Links] TOUCHWIZ UNIFIED MODS THREAD.
Also, remember to search before asking a question. For example, you could find the answer to your question easy just with a google search.
Good luck!

Hi guys !!
My humble suggestion is that the moderator should put up a new sticky which has links to the various .cab files so that searching becomes easy because the search feature doesnt seem to search the attachment in threads.
One more suggestion is that another sticky can be put which lists the various common problems with the relating threads.
Eg.
Sound Problems :
Thread link
Thread link ....... and so forth
This would make this site more user friendly
By the way I just wanna thank all you guys for the work you people have done !!
(Specially abusalza for his N-Touch Rom !! Lolz)

I'm cooking a rom for hd2, and by default, the setting icon in the start menu takes the user to the manila's setting tab instead of the windows' original settings.
Is there any way to change this?
everything you need to fix this is discussed here.

thanks
I'm glad it's solved, I'm closing the thread because of duplicate threads.
All solved cases you can find in the sticky as well if you need to find any other issue:

Is it possible to remove those OEM "settings apps" which are downloaded from store and installed at the end of the settings page???
I have a Ativ S it is fully unlocked and i have full file system access.
Please use search; this has been discussed in multiple threads.
Also, why the heck did you post a [Q] in a forum that *isn't* the Q&A one?
Sorry I searched but found nothing, xda hasn't the best search also.
As for a [Q] in this forum because it's more development and hacking related, as far as
I know there is no official normal way you could remove those apps -> hacking...
And you could have at leas posted the Link to the right topics and help me out...

This is a question and so should be posted in the question and answer section
The dev section is for posting roms/kernels and other development projects
Edit thread moved
To answer your question
It would be much quicker and easier to download the firmware from my firmware thread
You then have two options
1 - Extract the firmware to get the system folder (guide in my signature) then load it into android kitchen & deodex it then create a custom rom zip
2 - Flash the firmware and use a tool to deodex on the fly - I'm sure you can search and find some tool for this
It becomes much quicker if you learn to do things yourself - once you have the environment setup option one would take me about 15 mins
Is your Thread Deoxed?

No - read my above post and deodex the firmware yourself using method 1 or 2
Please don't ask me for a step by step guide as Iv already told you my guide for extracting the system folder from stock firmware is in my signature and there are plenty of guides for Android kitchen if you search
