Suggestion for the forum - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom General

Hi guys !!
My humble suggestion is that the moderator should put up a new sticky which has links to the various .cab files so that searching becomes easy because the search feature doesnt seem to search the attachment in threads.
One more suggestion is that another sticky can be put which lists the various common problems with the relating threads.
Eg.
Sound Problems :
Thread link
Thread link ....... and so forth
This would make this site more user friendly
By the way I just wanna thank all you guys for the work you people have done !!
(Specially abusalza for his N-Touch Rom !! Lolz)

Custom ROM/Builds List

Guys,
Looking through this thread, it is becoming increasingly hard to find the latest builds from our favorite chefs; JesusFreke/Haykuro/TheDude.
Could I put forward a suggestion that we create some Sub-Forums, moderated by said chefs, for there builds/news/related questions. This might make it easier to find the info we need.
Just a quick suggestion, wondered what we all thought.
Asked that from the admin and the simple answer is no =(
if you'd like you can create a thread, if you are willing to keep it updated, list all the cookers and their rom versions.
So to your question sub-forums will not be created, sorry.

Well no to sub-forums but why can't moderator like yourself make the Threads of new roms into sticky threads so they're always on top.

I posted a link to a list but a Mod deleted it. Not sure if it was because of general housekeeping or if it was because the list was on a google dev site.

Hi, This is an excellent idea, but, without wishing to spoil the party, could I suggest using the exisiting XDA TG01 wiki rather than starting yet another site to keep tabs on ?
It is here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Toshiba_TG01
But in fact no one has actually started to use it yet
@Nosker @Novembre5
thanks.. I have corrected your name spellings.
Also have created individual pages for you too.
please register on the site and get admin privileges too so you can do anything you want to the wiki..
@kevinpwhite
you are right about xda wiki however it is very basic one and comparing to wikidot I think it would make a great wiki for tg01.
The tg01.wikidot.com is fully editable by anyone and safe from spam edit as admin and original creator has full control over edits made.
I am not suggesting that everybody leave this forum but this wiki will be a summary of this forum posts..
PS- Please register and you'd make great moderator

If you're going to say, "thread closed. please post in the existing firmware thread", please be a bit more helpful and give a link to the existing firmware thread you're referring to.
eom
Hmm...what?
Edit: You are right. I don't see any existing lg6 thread.
Do you mean the existing firmware thread that all firmware posts are supposed to be put in .
The one called Stock Official Firmwares even the Guides and Roms official firmware makes it only a choice of two .
Message to mods should go via report thread if you want them to read it .
jje
i didn't even bother to request the mod to not close that one because that happened to blfb thread when it was new then they reopened it since the official firmware thread is getting cluttered thus i thought they would do the same for this one.
since that didn't happen, i'd like to request to re-open that thread and rename it to XXBLG6 new features so as to save the other main thread from clutters and this one will be specific only to new xxblg6 ; it will be easier to search what's new.
tia.
Damn was just about to post in there too

Single thread, choice of two - it's all too confusing for simple me and my simple buddies ....
All I'm saying is what I said - it would have been *more* helpful to have put a link to the thread chrisd1a1 (which ever of the two you're on about, I dunno, I'm even more confused) in the "closing" post. Simples, no?
Re. second part, I'd rather open the issue up for discussion than keep it backroom, ta very muchly.
Closed, if you have a problem with a mod, feel free to PM them.
Also, take a look at the rules
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

There is two stock firmware thread, stickied in this subsection, just open them and read, one is more of a guide as well, the other just a list of download links, but you would know this if you had clicked on them.
Also there is a sticky that should help guide you to which forum subsection you need to be in to find stuff.
Also.. as mods we have multiple forums to look after, do you really want us, as well as moving misplaced threads around, keeping the peace, and everything else we do, to do your research for you? I think not.
If you have a problem with this post, or anything else, feel free to PM me.

[Q] Suggestion on discussion/topic folders

I would like to suggest if folders can be classified into groups, ie folders for
1.mods
2. kernels
3. rom
4. etc and so
the rationale/reason is that its easier for readers when searching for a certain topic (roms for instance), then the rom folder will have a complete list of all available roms. :good:

All that has to be done through the moderators of XDA their is even a /post thread / topic for such on XDA tghat you should have asked the question in .
All this has been asked already and has been refused .
Two basic problems regarding search and find information are one a total failure to bother to search just post a question and two a huge number or repetitive same old posts that just clog up the forum . All this makes it harder to search but the answer is simple posters should follow the rules search post in the right section and read the FAQS and Guides .
The forum then returns to as it was before the user base got dumbed down .
That means questions are not posted in the wrong forum .
If you look in this very thread the first page alone has at least 30% wrong posts and that's fairly typical .

Creating An Android Game Menu

Hi,
I'm new to Android Game Development and I was wondering how to create a game menu for the game that contains Levels and Stuff. Please post a step to step Guide.
Regards,
Tripplemin
USE SEARCH!!!
And do not double post!
We on xda are not the people who you can ask everything. Search for easy things like that. If you get serious problems you cannot solve by searching, ask here. If they are as easy as that, use Google.
EDIT: Link to the other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265670
EDIT: Reported.
As above, please don't create multiple threads for the same thing.
Thread closed.
