Is it possible to remove those OEM "settings apps" which are downloaded from store and installed at the end of the settings page???
I have a Ativ S it is fully unlocked and i have full file system access.
Please use search; this has been discussed in multiple threads.
Also, why the heck did you post a [Q] in a forum that *isn't* the Q&A one?
Sorry I searched but found nothing, xda hasn't the best search also.
As for a [Q] in this forum because it's more development and hacking related, as far as
I know there is no official normal way you could remove those apps -> hacking...
And you could have at leas posted the Link to the right topics and help me out...

You should set date 100 years forward and open those settings.
I recomend you not to do it.

[Q] Whats the different between Android Development & Original Android Development?
I've seen this in multiple device threads but when entering both sections fail to see any difference? Why have two different sections?
Android Development is basically taking someone else's work, and modifying it slightly. Original is creating your own work. Something along those lines anyway...
So doing something like downloading AOSP and just uploading it, that would count as Android.

You are posting in the wrong section , this is General not Q&A.
With a little search you can find an answer to your question - Here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1985240

A. You are in the wrong section for asking questions. The "Rules" sticky at the top of the DEV section clearly outlines this. You should also read this thread which is pinned right below it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2254274
B. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252434&page=10 this thread or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258013 might help you.
C. You can use the "search" function to find additional information.
Good luck.

This is answered abundantly. PLUS, this does NOT belong in development - especially not as a NEW thread. Search button is crying to be used...
EDIT: Damn, Scott! Ninja'd!
My bad... sorry this is the first time I posted in the wrong forum.... Locking thread...
Hi all, not sure where to put this thread, so I thought this would be a good start.
I have a Motorola MC40 device that is used for scanning items in a retail store. I am need to write a little app for it, but cannot get Eclipse to see the device. I've tried the only suggestion I can find on the internet on StackOverflow (search mc40, i can't post links here yet), but my Win7/64bit computer isn't seeing the device.
I've tried viewing it with adb devices and have made sure that I am updating the correct SDK files... still no go.
I remember having to do something like this with my Kindle fire initially, but it wasn't this hard to get working.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
...Still looking for a solution. I cannot figure this out! BLAH...
This is the APP development section. This is not for driver and therefore kernel related things.
Thanks for the reply. I've posted it Android Development and Hacking > Miscellaneous Android Development. Appreciate the guidance!

First off, questions go in Q&A, and will be marked with a [Q] before the title.
Secondly, you didn't provide what version of Android you were running.
I'm guessing here, but you may be running the leaked 4.4 Samsung ROM, if so, look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607215
If not, then I have no idea.
So far you have created 3 threads for this request:
RULE 5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
I created one thread but it was in the wrong place. Someone told me to put it in the right place. Since I can't move threads I had to create a new one. I didn't realize the original guide was one this forum until later.
