Hidden Features - Nexus 5X General

So Iwe've got Android O now (at least a preview) and it got me thinking... as a Nexus we've got ALOT of options and settings available compared to other manufacturers (Samsung is otherwise). So what do we really have left?
aptX is partially done (check if my zip here gets it wrking, if you're usuing Android O)
QC Aqustic codec would be nice
screen resolution control (although being at 1080p, the only other mature option would be 720p)
BETTER AUDIO (every manufacterer has their own soultions and i'm sorry to say stock audio is crappy)
DTS would be nice, if Google could add it into adsp
Then I saw this...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/fluence-uhd-t3571875
"Great!" I thought. Until you look carefully and notice we have allot of that build.prop tweaks. I'm not sure about the hidden features and I'm not a fan of SoundMODS as they do more or less nothing if the flinger doesn't support it and the adsp too. Aqustic shouldn't be too hard to port as it's a QC thing and I guess we have to live with the crappy speaker.
But has anyone used this "patch"? Or would like to try?

Yes. It's patching so it should. It doesn't install anything unless you use a SoundMOD which I personally advise to avoid (but it installs cleanly since Android O still uses audio_effect files).

How is the Tegra 2 support? Looking to try it out on the Atrix.
I bought it the other day, and it runs pretty well on my Samsung Epic 4G.
And don't let the android market fool ya, it's android requirement is v2.3.3 not v2.3.7.

At least on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, it runs a little slower than I would like at high quality settings(1024 texsize = 15-30fps depending on preset). If you lower the texsize to 512 in settings (which is still pretty sharp), it helps a lot.
I am not sure why it runs slower on the Tegra 2, but I suspect its because the GeForce ULP is not a variant of the PowerVR GPU that most phones use and the OpenGL ES drivers don't like one or two calls I'm making.
I fully intend to get it buttery smooth on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, so you can buy this with confidence. If I am not able to make it 100% within a few weeks, I'll refund you
I plan on working on improving Tegra 2 performance over the next few days, so you should see improvement soon. I have not tried it on an Atrix, so for all I know, it could work better than my tablet.
awesome
so glad to see this finally made it to the market, there are some presets that seem to run smoother in androp, hopefully some shared knowledge will get that sorted out, already told the dev about it anyway, just had to post something cause I'm too much of a noob to figure out how to subscribe to this thread any other way :-/
Awesome I never thought I'd be able to have milkdrop in my pocket from when I started using it in winamp years ago. I'm also on an Atrix and am looking forward to improved Tegra 2 support. One problem though, Market complains that my device isn't compatible with the app. Any idea why? I'm running a CM7 nightly which is up to 2.3.7. Not sure what the other requirements of the manifest file are...

The market is strange. I don't understand how it decides who can install something. It says the Atrix is supported in the developer's console, so I'm not even sure where to look next.
It should be up on the Amazon market soon, although with their one week delay for updates, it will be out of date most of the time.
We released version 3.10 today, mostly centered around startup performance and stability. It helps a lot with the live wallapaper.

Yeah, I will be looking at the presets you poinetd out next week after the holidays. Performance stuff on that level erquires more concentration than I have available right now.
Looks to be running fairly well on the Atrix but seems to slow done a bit when there's a lot of lines drawn on the screen. Also tends to force close every now and then.
Running CM7 FYI.
BTW, is there a way to make this dependent on only media sound output rather than mic input?

We are working on allowing you to select only mic or audio input instead of the aut omode that projectM currently uses. Technically, projectM already supports thi feature, but we don't have a settings screen yet. I know, it sounds stupid. projectM is pretty boring with no sound input at all, so we made auto the defualt and figured we would add the option eventually for people like you who know what is going on. Expect it in a week or so.
As for the FC issue, can you give me any info? I would love to fix it for you.
We just released 3.13 to the Market. 3.11 and 3.12 were big crash fixers, 3.13 not so much.

I just realized I am running one of your kernels on my Epic 4G. I didn't notice the nubecoder.com on the splash image previously. Great work!
Did not see this was out yet. Just bought it for my Nexus One. Keep up the great work
projectM is now availanle on the amazon appstore.
Unfortuneately, Amazon requires review every time an update is released so this is a very old build at this point. I have submitted a much newer one for review, but they are still reviewing it. Use the Google Market if yo ucan, as this one will always be 3-4 days behind as far as updates go.
Pretty soon 3.15 will be out with support for selecting just one preset in live wallpaper mode.
Bought the app from Android Market. Running Epic 4G Touch stock kernel, unNamed ROM. Now I can feel like xbmc is alive in my pocket. Thank You psperl.
Anyone want to test an Android 2.2 build for me? I tried it on a Samsung Intercept I just scooped up and it runs like trash. I am not sure if there is something wrong with porjectM or if this phone is just slow.

Finally bought your app
I tested it on my Nook Color and HD2 - a little sluggish @ 1024 texture size , better with 512
Can you add an optional FPS counter? and maybe a limiter also?
Also , any updates on the Widget option?

I am not sure the widget is possible. I've looked pretty hard.
I just completed some performance optimizations that I will be releasing tomorrow after I get home from work. I want to be around (and not asleep or at work) in case it blows up.
projectM already has a limiter set to 30fps. I just asked my co-developer to add a setting to change it. 30fps is the sweet spot because most MilkDrop presets were written with that speed in mind. I don't see why I couldn't add a display as well.
I tried to search more info on using opengl in widgets and it really seems impossible
But , I might found some interesting info - if you can look into it I'll be glad
ICS has introduced a new thing called TextureView
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/TextureView.html
I'm not a dev , but can this be used to "stream" the visualizations?
Code:
A TextureView can be used to display a content stream. Such a content stream can for instance be a video or an OpenGL scene. The content stream can come from the application's process as well as a remote process.
TextureView can only be used in a hardware accelerated window. When rendered in software, TextureView will draw nothing.
Also why some visuals looks different on pc? are there missing components?
BTW , love the new music controls! but it needs more work such as configurable/automatic opacity
can you can add the track name appearing on track change like milkdrop? if not a simple text on top would be great

Bluetooth audio quality sounds distorted/fuzzy! [4.2.2 Stock Firmware]

Hey,
I'm having annoying problems with the bluetooth audio. The audio sounds distorted/fuzzy and is very easy to hear in certain songs
when the chorus or similar kicks in. I used the same headset with my Xperia Z and there was no audio quality problems.
I have also tested other bluetooth devices and its the same stuff going on...
Here is the funny part - when I flash CM11 and try the bluetooth-sound, the quality is perfect!
So I'm pretty damn sure its an software releated issue... I could just use CM11 ofcourse but the problem is then I miss out on other stock features I like
One song that shows this audio problem very clear is: Papa Roach - Leader Of The Broken Hearts. Spotify link here!
I've also tried to mess around some with ViPER4Android but with no good results...
Anyone has any good ideas?
Nobody has nothing to say on this matter? :victory:
I agree. Stock Bluetooth was terrible. Been using Viper for a while now... It's very good, when it's working. Even as a system app, it's being stopped and then it restarts a couple seconds later. Enable aptx in terminal and see if that helps. My head unit is old, so it did nothing for me.

Still have this strange high-ends distortions with/without ViPER, and it crashes all the time as you say.
My LG G2 original box says phone has Aptx enabled? I don't know if it matters though, my Sony Smart Wireless headset Pro (MW1) doesn't have Aptx support. However MW1 sounded great on Xperia Z and other various phones so I blame LG for fu**ing up the bluetooth drivers xD
My best bet right now is hoping for the 4.4 update to fix this problem. If not - this is a dealbreaker (change phone) to me because I listen to music via bluetooth all the time!
Crashes is a pretty song word. I'd say it's being stopped by the os. I've been having better luck with Viper audio after changing some kernel settings. Interactive Gov, read ahead buffer to 2048, and min frequency at 628. Viper had an update last week also. I've read some irs convolver settings don't like being used as system app. Been using a thx convolver with good luck lately.

my bluetooth is flawless even without any tweaks (and judging by many threads here regarding it, it seems to be a compatibility issue rather than LG "screwing something up" ) but have you tried this:
enabling AptX codec:
1. adb shell
2. su
3. setprop persist.service.btui.use_aptx 1
check that property was changed:
4. getprop persist.service.btui.use_aptx
you should get "1"
reboot the phone and check bluetooth sound quality.
to eliminate Viper being killed by the system just make it a system app and make sure you followed the installation instructions (including the build.prop tweaks if necessary).

A compability issue IS something that LG screwed up. This is the first Android phone I have with such useless bluetooth sound quality
I have tried to enable Aptx and got the result 1 but since the headset only supports A2DP it will not matter I think. I got ViPER4Android to work as well but the sound is still bad... I mean some parts sounds really good and clear but some parts where the high ends are kicking in loud the sound gets distorted
Still haven't solved this, good thing CM11 works pretty decent. It lacks some awesome stock features but the audio is nice so I can live with it
"I have a similar issue in my 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The static is only present during loud levels on songs, not at all times during the track. Seems like it is most noticeable on the higher frequencies also. Please reply here if your issue is the same.
I did not have this problem on my HTC One X in the same car.
I have searched all over Android and Hyundai forums and found little to work with. What I have found is that this is not affecting everyone, otherwise it would be all over the forums. I appears to me that it is related to our cars bluetooth receivers and how they communicate with the phone.
I found some posts from a user CBaronne where he had what appeared to be the same issue on another phone and modified the "Bitpool" value with good results. He wanted to do the same on this phone but the variable is buried in a system file and modifying it was beyond his expertise.
I have also flashed several sound mods with no success, as well as different tricks to ensure that APT X is enabled. Nothing has helped.
I think until we get a developer with this phone and has this issue there will not be any attempt made to resolve. You can always just buy another car..."
I have been posting this comment in several threads to try an get some attention on it. This issue is not common enough for it to have consistent comments or investigation.

Reading other Android forums and Hyundai threads it DOES appear to be a compatibility issue, meaning that it is about the combination of two devices, it does not affect every G2 bluetooth connection. From the first link I posted it DOES appear that if we can adjust the bitpool values of the G2 we could improve the quality.
I have this same problem with my vw Jetta. My nexus 4 sounded amazing and now this g2 sounds like sh*t.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Okey, so I finally got so pissed off about this - that I got an HTC One, coming with 4.2.2 pre-installed.
Funny thing is this phone had more or less the same bluetooth-audio problems in 4.2.2.
However when I did the update to 4.3 on the HTC One the sound quality became perfect! I also installed 4.4.2 recently on the HTC, but sound is still great whatsoever.
So if HTC didn't fix this in 4.3 by themselves, its probably a bluetooth-fix coming with 4.3+, which means ppl just have to sit tight for official 4.4.x or use CM11 meanwhile.
Offtopic: I don't really miss the LG G2 luckily, HTC One feels more premium in hand and the UI is very fast and well designed. The loss of better hardware specs is just some words on a paper. Hell, I would say the HTC One even feels snappier!
I bought a BT 'headset' type thingy from Amazon that has APT-x on it as my current one is old and it has always sounded terrible via BT compared to wired.
The list of all APT-x BT stereo headphones is here... APT-X Headphone list. I found another list, but, it linked back to each individual page on this list, lol.
The one I chose to buy, primarily based on price, but also on user reviews was this one... BlueAnt Ribbon
I didn't want a big 'Beats' type deal, so it had to be a small model. The only ones I could find to buy in the US at a 'reasonable' price of $24 was the BlueAnt Ribbon and the HTC bluetooth stereo headphones. The HTC cost about twice as much with shipping. Mainly because the product is not (yet?) available in the US and the HTC is shipped from Taiwan after buying on Ebay.
There is a really slick silver looking dealy, but, I don't have $120 to blow on something that will likely function in the same capacity, but, looks cooler. Maybe when I spend more time making money and less time trolling XDA forums I can buy them, lol.
i know this is dragging a old thread up a bit but im having the same issues with my sony car stereo, it sounds as if bitrate is low and when you hit a high point in song its distorted crackly and hissy
has anyone found any solutions to this on 4.4.2 or is cm still the only decent fix? i like the LG features but i think all the decent ones have been ported over
any help would be amazing

[DISCUSSION] Here is my One M8 set-up, share yours too, and some new info.

Ok I guess I'll begin by sharing the new info, which doesn't seem to be out there.
The newest Stable release of Sense 6 toolbox works with my Sense 7 (ARHD 41.0) set up. It had no glitches, and a couple selections were blocked out, so I'm guessing they were bugged ones which the dev didn't want to make available to a stable release.
What I find interesting is that it says that Sense 7 is still not supported, but to me it worked perfectly. If you guys could tell me whether it works for you too (mainly sense 7 mods), and if any of you found bugs please share what caused the bug so that other users can avoid the same bug.
Now for my set up:
Recovery: TWRP
ROM: ARHD 41.0
Sense version: Sense 7
Xposed Framework (yes/no): yes
If yes, Modules:
> ActivityForceNewTask
> APM+
> ChromePie
> Fix Lollipop Memory Leak (not sure if it actually works)
> Greenify
> Secure Settings (used with Tasker)
> Sense 6 Toolbox
Additional theming/modding apps worth mentioning:
Root Booster
(it offers an option of speed, stability or battery saving, it works by changing the CPU governor and memory heap size to achieve desired result)
Recently
(developed by Chainfire, if you don't know, he's the guy behind SuperSu, say no more. Worth checking out, since it improves the new recent apps section introduced with Lollipop)
Viper4Android FX
(if you like good sound, this is the app you need. Boomsound is already good as it is, this makes it even better)
OK guys, it's now your turn share your set up, and give your recommendations
Sent from my Nexus 9 through XDA app

Also I use the standard Adaway app to get rid of ads in free apps.

Dragon-Fi Audio (System files only, Dolby and beats skipped)
Harman Kardon Audio (I only use Clari-Fi)

Just letting you know VolumeSteps+ does not work on most HTC ROMs/Devices, if you actually listen closely and pay attention you will notice that you add volume steps but listen closely and you will notice the volume won't change at all on some of those steps, the developer even said this disclaimer, and its known on HTC, the Audio System is different then AOSP or anything like that, so its pointless to have it, it adds the visual steps but in reality it doesn't work, in media for example you still have 15 steps but if you make it 30, then you still have 15 and require a bunch of pointless button presses to get to volume step 15.
Ooh thank you guys getting better replies than I expected.
@Viper4713, does Sense 7 feel stable to you? Because as far as I'm aware it's a port taken from the M9 but stuck on top of an M8 Base. Do you believe there will be any changes when HTC releases the official M8 version?
Also since you mentioned headphones, I got me a cheap £15 Panasonic HJE190.
I'm a huge audiophile, and a power listener, 70% of my day I have my headphones in my ears. In fact I got them in now haha.
The problem I have with most headphones is that most are cheaply built (even expensive ones), and don't last more than 2 months with me. So I chose to always buy cheap ones, eventually, I found a pair of HJC120 on the ground, battered up, as if someone threw them away. So I took them in, and used them since my previous pair had broken that morning lol.
The little sucked lasted me for 8 months, more than any other headphones I have ever used EVER. + the sound was good
So when they broke I was looking for the same one, and I stumbled across the HJE190. It has better sound, and if you like bass it's perfect, it's got clear highs and deep lows. Etc...
Not gonna go much into detail. What I mean is, they have the best sound of any earbuds below £50, while costing less than £20, and they are sturdy, so they last a long time. worth having a look.
@Trucifix, I'm glad I could share with you something new. Nice set up btw.
Also, after you try it and if you like it, thank the OP.
Now, about the App itself, Root Booster, since I don't play intensive games on my phone (I use my Nexus 9 for that), I don't really need the speed part, but ideally it's for gaming. For me I like the battery saving toggle, it gives me at least 1 hour worth of juice with average use.
But depeding on your need it can help.
Personally I like it, because I have no idea of which governors to use, how much to overclock or underclock, so I prefer to just let another app do it for me

Sense 7 ROMs for M8, yes pure stable, but I will be honest with you ARHD is the most unstable right now strangely, mike abandoned the M8 for now in favor of the M9, he may be back some time soon.
The 5.0.2 Sense 7 Ports are closer to a true Sense 7, they contain almost all the files from Sense 7 base, only thing Sense 6 about it left is drivers and such to make everything work 100% like audio and radio(4G), now the 5.0.1 ROMs are less closer to true Sense 7, they have many Sense 6 libs and such left behind and its mainly only focused on the apks, like Settings app and Sense Home for example, this is why the 5.0.1 (base without mods) ports don't have the flashlight toggle in QS because the SystemUI.apk still have Sense 6 elements while the 5.0.2 ROMs have full sense 7 SystemUI.apk.
When Sense 7 releases there wouldn't be any visual changes compared to the 5.0.2 ports at all, however it is believed that when its finally out it will come with Android 5.1, so HTC might make some changes but I am unsure, however there will be a couple Android changes at that point like swiping up on a heads up notification to hide it(without fully dismissing), but the current 5.0.2 ports will feel exactly like the M9 does, so nothing is missing about it, and of course its still the M8, so HK works and all that, so it feel like M8 for sure rather then an M9 port where something could potentially be missing.
As for earphones, I am an audiophile but I spend a bit more money then that, you wouldn't believe what you could be missing until you get some real high end headphones, now I understand that more expensive doesn't always mean better but in some cases it does, I mean some headphones are not $299 for NO reason, I my self wouldn't go under $79 but that's just me, my build quality on my $212 earphones is great, you know what you should try out? go get some Klipsch S4's or S5's, they are cheap for what your paying for, I assure you they will sound better then the ones you have now, you always have a return policy so try it out for fun if you want, put it on a credit card so no real money is being spent yet
For Audio its not just about lows and high, mids, sound stage, clarity and many others are also very important, so currently you may enjoy your set up, then you try something real high end and then realize that your current setup may have muddy lows and artificial highs, also separation is important as well, for example, you could have a huge bass note booming in your ear but yet at the same time it won't overlap any other frequency AT ALL so when a bass note happens the singers voice will not appear to get quieter or distorted, it will sound like the bass note is coming from a separate sub woofer in the room while the mids and highs are playing from a dedicated speaker but in reality you just have earphones/buds on! You can say you have this now but yet again its one of those things you have to experience to realize your current setup either doesn't have it or doesn't have it enough.
Please understand my respect to you here, I am not bashing you but just saying there is an other level you can achieve here you have never heard, its kind of like 2D to 3D and other dimensions you may not know exists
I have expensive Polk Audio Speakers in my car, I also have $249 computer speakers and yet my earphones still are much better then both of them, its to a point I have had these earphones for 2-3 years and I am still shocked by them, its also mind boggling to me how these earphones/buds can sound better then a studio or a real speaker for that matter.
@Viper4713, well that would definitely explain why Sense 6 toolbox works perfectly on my M8. So for that reason I think I'll stick around ARHD for a while longer Hehe.
And about the headphones, yeah I'm completely aware, I had some great sounding ones when I was younger. Never went for anything under 30 quid, and once bought a £90 over ears. Beautiful sound.
And yet, 2 months later, like clockwork, it breaks. Haha I'm sure some expensive headphones have amazing sound. But i cant afford to be shelling 50 quid everytime I break some headphones But I'm just pointing out that I was so surprised at the sound I got from my Panasonic's, it's incredible. Obvi it's not the best, and a bit bass heavy, yet it provides nearly a distortionless sound.
For that kind of price tag I'm just surprised it's not well known. But search it, look at the reviews for yourself HJE190 and the HJC120.
Enjoy.

Just letting you know Sense 6 Toolbox works the same on 5.0.2 ports, it just doesn't work on S.ROM and the M9

Wait, you sure? Coz that wasn't specified on the module updates, nor the module itself, it just said Sense 7. Which is why I'm getting confused.

PETITION for: CAMERA API2 Support, lets try!

We want ZTE to add Camera Api2 support for Axon 7
why do we want it? it is easy to add! and axon 7 supports it, But is not enabled by ZTE yet.
"Camera API 2.0 is New API which allowing you much better camera control by camera apps and also increase the performance of camera.
Camera API 2.0 is fast enough to take advantage of the full resolution of the sensor at 30 fps-burst mode. This means HDR or other such computational photography should be much "cheaper" to do on Android devices. The new API also allows for much more fine-grained control of the sensor, lens and flash per individual frame".
https://www.change.org/p/zte-camera-api2-support-for-axon-7
Great idea!
In the same time would be write to send a petition
About stock player improvements or api for the sound libraries.
We have No useable player since release that fully utilizing the DAC....
What do you think?

I'd rather have them do it like it is done on LOS based roms ie only AKM dac is used.

On listening tests, neutron NOT. AIMP not tested A/B yet.
Neutron sounds differently that stock player on all settings.
I have wrote to developer, but no reply yet.
Also wrote to N7 player develeper, how he do that,
because it is the closest sounding to the Stock player. I can't say that it's exaclty same, but it is a good news listening on hiend monitor speakers or Sony headphones.
Neutron messing up the sound, and goes up until 48khz.
Thank you for the reply.

I'm on stock chinese v2.0 b13, no other custom ROM tested yet. Would be great to do A/B test with between theese two roms, but rooting custom ROM is tricky, becuase of guarantiee. I'm afraid that any problem on unlocking the phone and anything goes wrong I could no live without this phone even one day
(I could record the same sound to hi end recorders from each ROM and compare them in studio quality tests, it's not problem for me from the sound perspective, but "bricking axe" is always above us
Well how about we add --" DAC on/off "-- function toggle? for general use off, for some hi-fi moments you can turn it on, to use the very capable DAC.
What do you say? ( the more attention this matter gets, The more likely it will be taken into consideration and approved, and added .
Cheers!

That already exists and is a quick settings toggle on MiFavor 5. On MiFavor 4 it is under Sound - Hi-Fi
Did you guys actually buy this phone for the camera? I thought that it was literally the worst part of the phone.
Nothing wrong with wanting it though, if we can get the better camera api I'm all with you, but it seems fruitless for this phone unless someone can figure out how to update the firmware for our phones. I doubt ZTE will update ours until the axon 8.
TL/DR: I participated in the petition, but don't expect anything they never work. You should go over to the ZTE forums and try to request it there

Solved Xperia AOSP Problems - Better as Stock

Hey Folks, while working on My next Snappatch Version was i able to fix the biggest Problems on the XZ Premium which should also affect other Xperias. Here are the main Points:
-Camera Noise (Solved)
-Display Quality (Solved)
-Audio Output Quality (Solved)
-Microphone Handling (Solved)
In conlcusion:
I added and enabled some Camera Services and Functions to enhance the Quality and to allow full Google Camera Mod Support.
I added and enabled Display Services and Functions to deliver a more Natural Output besides HDR Support and Adaptive Backlight capabilities.
I added and enabled Audio Services, Functions and Libraries from Qualcomm and SONY Oreo Firmwares to enhance the Output Quality over all Sources like Videos, Music and the main System.
Last but not least better Microphone Handling. Adapted and ehanced from many Android Devices and Qualcomm Documentations to deliver better Recognition and Input Quality over both Mics on top and bottom of the Device.
Nothing against switching from Stock to AOSP anymore. The benefits of Snappatched AOSP over Stock are huge. Latest SDK, full Substratum Support, better Audio and Visual Quality (In and Output), better Performance (Shadowgun Ledgends on Ultra - 60FPS, No heat, no glitches), more freedom of UI Layouts, better App Support, faster Storage Speeds, newer Kernel, Smoother UI, Adaptive Icon Support, Pixel Features and so on. The Snappatch for the XZP is coming soon and i Hope i can raise the Interest on AOSP on Xperias with this!
Forget Stock! This is the next Level! Love My XZP now...
Stay tuned and try it by Yourself!
I hope that you are right. But i want to try it very bad want i want a good working aosp! I CANT WAIT!!!
I'm on 8142 dual SIM I'm willing to try too
:cyclops: Ufff!!! sounds amazing !!! can't wait to test it
G8142 here also. Can't wait to try this out
I think I will unlock my bootloader ?
Can't wait for some reviews
I would really like to get some advanced Feedback and compares between Stock and AOSP. RAW alone should be worth the Bootloader unlock and going away from Stock. SONY does a really great Job on the Sources for our AOSP Bases and everything runs really well compared to other Devices like from LG. One Thing that really bothers Me is the buggy TWRP on our XZP. CPU Temp isn't showing right, MTP fails 90% of the Time and AROMA has a Displaying Bug. Since the Snappatch is coming with My own crafted AROMA Installer will we face a invisible Utility, but i will make a Video showing how to easily flash the Patch anyways on our Devices (Side by Side with working AROMA on the Axon 7).
Hope @Myself5 can solve the TWRP Issues one Day, and that more Users will pay attention to him and his Work on our Forums! Thanks a lot Mate for contributing that much to our Devices, and Sorry for People like this "FartyParty" Guy! Much respect for You, i know how it feels to be on XDA sometimes...

She had a Hard Time and is now caring My Grandma which is diseased. I think she would be very thankful and happy about some Donations based on My Work here. I will talk to her and if it's ok do i share her Paypal Address on My Thread or Signatur somehow. Think that would be a nice Idea if You're also ok with that!

Strange. I Googled a lot about this and this was always a Issues with some TWRP Recoveries. Most of the Time did it helped to use older TWRP Images but the last one gives just a Black Screen after booting into it. I will test a Copy of My old Light Patch again and take a look on whats different! Thanks for the Hint!

If it possible release your patch for less than 5 hours because my internet time is going to end.please.
How was RAW support achieved?
From what I've seen, this wasn't possible before because there were no drivers that enabled that with the used camera chip.
And there's still one thing missing; SloMo support. Is there a chance this can be added as well?

I had trouble with the Camera Configs (Camera not starting anymore), but solved it and added more of them. Last remaining Problem are Issues with Google Service Audio (Music and Video not playing due to failing Audio Configs). Think i need more Time to solve this, but the release is close...

It's all there on AOSP. Camera2 API is supported but not configured right (There are X Lines for the Cameras), i've seen the same on the Z1 and Z3 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...ussion-development-custom-rom-t3479108/page11) some Years back, and i was sure it's all depending on this right now. Other Xperias may have the same Camera Problems since AOSP is coming with just the barely minimum of Build Properties and Configs. That's also the Case on the most other Devices and AOSP based ROM and one of the Reasons for doing My Patch. Some missing Things are causing Issues (Like Microphone Problems), and others do just bring a lack of Features (Like with the Camera and Display, Audio, etc.).
It's pretty Time intense to test all this Entries and Values but it's really worth the Time. And if i would do a OS would i start with that Things before changing the Kernel and adding ROM Features, but i can only talk for Me. Not sure how much Time ROM Devs put into building of AOSP for the own Devices, but i work for sure at least 40 Hours on One Major Release of My Patch (Including copying, flashing, testing and editing).
AROMA was also really Time Intense but i removed the Installer over Night and edited the Updater Script to flash the recommended Options without it. Here is a little List of what gets flashed:
-Original Oreo Pixel Bootanimation
-Original Oreo Pixel Ringtones, Alarms, Notifications
-HTC U 11 UI Sounds, Ringtones, Alarms, Notifications
-Prop Patch (Including many changes and Configs)
-Snappatch Core System (Including the mainly needed Content)
-Snappatch Audio System (Based on XZ Premium Oreo Stock)
-Snappatch Emojis (EmojiOne replacement Font)
-Magisk Stable V16
-Busybox with many Applets, SElinux & Magisk Support
-GApps (Barely minimum Set)
And that's it for now. It includes all of the Features of the Patch, less optional but i can ensure a great Experience with this Setup! Like said am i now about to fix the last Bugs which are Audio Config related and after that will come the Thread with the new Release. Hope You will like it Folks!

Stupid xda -__-
Keep up the good work brother
I'm done for now! Release is in the next 24 Hours...
Changelog can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ak5DsenMjuSyypPBAjQact6MhtsE2MRFlvCHLTn9uHA/edit?usp=sharing
I removed the Audio System for now due to Issues with Xperias AOSP ROMs but i'll work on it again after releasing the actual Patch. Sounds already a lot better even without the replacement Libs and Configs! Stay tuned...
