S7 edge data connectivity problem - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

i have samsung S7 edge SM-G935F international model.when i turn on mobile data on auto 2g/3g/lte,it remains on 2g not connect to 3g.when i manually chose only 3g.the network is gone.
i have tried diffrent roms as well but couldnt solve the issue.
any help plz!!!

when i am using same sim on another mobile it works perfectly,it connects to 3g.

iNew V3 Mobile is not working with any SIM

I have brought iNew V3 MTK6582 1.3GHz Quad Core Android mobile in Online.After un-boxing it I have found that the mobile is detecting the SIM'S but not able to connect Network from both SIM slots.
I have tried multiple SIM'S ( Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and Tata DOCOMO) to verify whether its an SIM/Carier problem, but found that all the SIMS are acting same.
I can see that mobile is able to show the mobile carrier and SIM tools from the "SIMtoolKit" application in the mobile. But required Voice Call, Video Calls and Messages are grayed out in the SIM Management.
"Can't connect to this network right now. Try again later" Error is coming in the mobile when I am choosing Network Manually
If I dial in, Immediately an error ( Mobile Network not available) is coming on the screen.
There is a Small Red CROSS Symbol on the SIM Network icon in the Home screen.
Please check the Screenshots for more information.

As it is a new phone, I would say re install the official firmware and checkout. it should solve the issue. if not then that is a hardware issue. and it should be notified to suppliers the asap they should change it.

If this doesn't work then the Problem is EFS folder which has to do with IMEI.
just check out. 1) what your imei is 2)if your imei is blacklisted.
restore the imei to get a VALID IMEI only then will it be able to access the network.

Its 99% an IMEI issue.

Its 100% IMEI issue. Use engineering mode and use different IMEI. It works. I had same issue and this is resolved now.

I got it fixed by changing the IMEI of my broken old phone.
No problem now.

AFAIK inew v3 supports 900, 1800, as well as 2100. So that should not be a problem. Also If the IMEI not blacklisted by BSNL it should work for both 2G and 3G, not just 3G. Please check again whether it works for BSNL 2G network. I am asserting that its an IMEI issue bcoz many have solved "no network detection" problem by changing the IMEI to a legit one.

iNEW V3 can't start or receive calls with enabled 3G
Hi All,
I bought an iNEW V3 1 month ago, looks quite good except one annoying thing:
When I enable the 3G internet connection it is not possibile to start or receive calls while I am in H or H+ covered zone.
As soon as the covering is sinple E (EDGE I think) the above problem dissapears, therefore the phone can be used only with disabled 3G (GSM only) internet or WIFI.
I made some factory resets, tried to solve it with many MTK setting apps, without any success.
I also thied th IMEI trick with SN_STATION, tried 5 times and failed at the end.
Phone is not rooted, tried to root it with Framaroot and some others, but didn't worked.
Do you have any further ideea which could work?

[Q] N9005 only picks up 2G-EDGE

Hi guys, I dunno if this a frequently asked question but my N9005 won't pick up any 3G signal here in Morocco. 2G works fine and when I try to force it into 3G mode only it doesn't pick up any signal AT ALL. I tried few official roms, even the Moroccan one but nothing. I read about SPT box flashing but That's not available in my city.
I'm running on 4.2.2 btw

Does your provider or the area you are in have 3g coverage ? Just asking. If you have set it in the settings, and you're in a 3g area it should work. Have you checked your APN settings ?
Sometimes mine won't connect to 4g, then i have to reboot it.
And it's forbidden to bump up your thread in less than 24 hours. What do you think, people are just waiting here to answer your questions ? No. Patience.

Are you using a local SIM or Roaming?
If you're using Roaming, not every provider has a contract with every other provider for every network. There needs to be a contract between providers before you can use the local 3G network.

Is the CSC you posted in the first post correct? If so, XUF is not a valid CSC code as far as I can tell. XXUF is the bootloader, it should not be in the CSC.
A faulty CSC can cause the device to be limited to GPRS.

Bro, I'm from Morocco too and I have the same phone as you as well as the same problem, but I managed to fix it in Derb Ghellef, just take your phone there and they will fix it in moments and only for 50 DH.

Is your phone reading your sim card.. Did the network come up on the screen?

did you reflash the Stock Rom?
You should give it a try if you didnt.(does not void warranty)
Contact google, they will probably send you a replacement if you dont want to mess with it that much.

I'm going to suggest a longshot here. It seems that you've gotten some good suggestions so far, so I want to throw this idea out there.
Have you "provisioned" your phone lately & updated the PRL? Meaning, have you told the phone to connect to your cellular carrier, then the carrier then tells your phone what services you are paying for & are supposed to have & what cellular towers you can use? Doing just this usually fixes all sorts of problems.
Go to Settings (the little gear icon), then More (in the Wireless & Networks). Cellular Networks, Carrier Settings. Tap on Update device config. Let it talk to the network. Tap on OK. After that, Update the PRL. Let it do it's thing. Tap on OK.
No reboot is necessary. It should be making calls, receiving calls & data should all be working.
Also, I keep the Preferred network type to global, although my carrier is CDMA & I'm in the US.

Last time something like that happened to me was, when my old iPhone 6 had a blacklisted IMEI number. I could use all my data with the phone but not text or call anyone. Can you text people through SMS?

Really don't know either then. You said that you tried to change your preferred Network from LTE to 2g/3g but you can't? Are you always connected to LTE then? As far as i know you can't call on LTE.
my phone is also can not call and receive calls,text and 4G are still useful.It just stay in 4g and can not change to 2/3g.Hope someone can help us.

Help - Note 4 - SM-910G INU working only on 2g GSM.

UPDATE - 25/10/16 - Gave phone to Samsung Service center and they have updated me today that they found the radio is corrupted possibly so they have asked Samsung to give them a confirmation to proceed with Radio firmware reloading which includes IMEI re-coding. There's a chance of even them getting the device bricked of course but lets see what happens.

I have SM-N910G with latest stock rom (N910GDTS1DPI1).
Was using this phone on Reliance Jio VOLTE since end July and had set network more to LTE only (sicne RJio only has 4g LTE coverage).
Last thursday morning I noticed the phone is not registered on network and on trying to troubleshoot further by switching to a different (Vodafone) SIM, realized that the phone is only able to register on GSM (2G) networks and Edge data works too.
Have tried factory reset (and reloading of stock ROM thru ODIN including NAND erase using PIT files too) to check if I can get the phone to work on 3g/4g but no use. Seems like this is hardware issue (radio gone faulty?).
The phone is 18 months old so out of standard warranty hence I'm not much hopeful that Samsung Service center will be of any help. Before I take this there, just wanted to check if anyone else faced such issue before and have managed to sort the same out.

Check your apn settings go to settings/mobile notworks and manually edit apn for you specific carrier.

Thanks but it's not an apn issue. The phone doesn't simply register on any 3g or 4g networks. Hence the thought that it's hardware issue.

What do you mean by not getting Volte on any SIM? It's only for Reliance Jio. For other service providers, you need to get a 4G SIM before you can use 4G.
My phone is now dead bricked and beyond repairs as confirmed by Samsung service center. I'm not spending 15k for motherboard change.

Insert sim when I put Jio sim I get no service/ Jio 4g
Emergency calls only signal when I tried bsnl 3g

Signal & I can call also but when I tried to connect to internet by using these 3g sims my mobile connects and switchs off suddenly I have to pull out battery or connect to charger to start the mobile

That's weird indeed. Have you ever tried any custom Roms or rooting because of which your Knox status would have tripped? In any case it's worth taking the phone to nearest samsung service center. They charge just 200 bucks to inspect the issue and another 200 to reload the software if needed. But in my case it was hardware fault so they couldn't do anything.

A local mechanic who is a good friend of mine
And has a free entrance in local care center
We both went there and the care center gay
Tried to flash the mobile but no success now he says
That we should officially send the mobile to
The care center in a bigger city or like Mumbai
Where there are experts to tackle such weird problem

All the best mate. Just remember that they will ask you to sign up for Dead Brick risk which means you're OK if device goes dead during software flashing. The only way to get device working again is to replace motherboard which costs around 15k.

I have a big issue with SMG935V phone. I purchased the phone in US, and I am now currently living in Slovenia, EU. The problem is I can't connect to my local network with my local SIM card. Whenever I enter my local SIM, the info comes up, that says: ''This is not a Verizon Wireless SIM" and the network goes gray, I can't select a new network. I tried entering Access Point Names, but to no success. Last month when I was in US, I brought the phone to Verizon Store, where they guaranteed me, that the phone is unlocked and should work properly even in Europe.
Does anybody have an idea, what should I do?

So now I flashed the U rom on it, but now when I search for networks it says that there is an error... and the phone doesn’t connect to the network

It seems as if the radio was turned off, does anybody have an idea how to access those settings?
