I have an LG V410 (LTE, AT&T Version), I have a T-Mobile tablet data plan on it, and part of the plan allows the ability to read and send text messages (SMS). Though for some reason, after enabling the T-Mobile APN, I now have LTE and internet access, but I can't read or send text messages.
For example, when someone sends me a text message through the tablets phone number, I'll see it for a few seconds in the Messaging app, and then it disappears. When I try to send an SMS it says in a blue box "SMS disabled" and I have no idea how to enable it in the first place.
Can someone help me here? This device is stock, and not rooted.
Sorry for my ignorance but I haven't been able to start a new thread yet. I have a AT&T G Pad v410 as well but I can't get the SIM working. It is SIM locked to AT&T. I purchased a unlocked code from eBay but it didn't work either. The guy sold me the code said it might be it's not in the stock rom which cause it. It is actually in CM 12 rom.
Can anyone suggest whether I should flash it back to the stock rom and unlock the SIM? Is there any thread about how to do it?
Much appreciate!

Hello list,
I have only been on this forum for a couple of days now but I have read a lot so I'm becoming educated very quickly. I cant however, get the voicemail to work on my Telstra HD2. Other members report that their phones work flawlessly on AT&T 3G but I have not seen anyone post what "actual" settings they are using. For example, on the phone tab if you click menu/options/voicemail and text message, there are two boxes that should have numbers in there. Both numbers listed on my phone are international numbers. I have flashed my phone with WWE 1.66 and when I installed my AT&T sim card the phone recognized it. I still cant check my voicemail though because the international numbers are still there. Also, I can send SMS but not MMS.
(I live in Orlando, Fl and the entire area runs on the 850 frequency.)
Please post what settings are working best for you.
You can put your own phone number for voicemail and it should work fine...
Text message center you're on your own
Putting my phone number in doesnt work. I've tried it. Do you have a Telstra phone? If so, can you MMS people?
Works for me, but I'm on the old ATT I guess.
I do have a Telstra phone. I've never used MMS, sorry! Try asking in the T9193 reference thread
Ok, will do. Thanks.
This is my first android so please excuse the lack of experience with it.
I am using a Verizon Galaxy S5 with an AT&T sim in it. I got data to work after entering the AT&T APN settings and everything else is working except for incoming phone calls caller id format. Incoming calls are showing up as +-xxx-xxxx Example: +714-555-1212
If that call is from someone in my contact list it will not be identified. If I call back that number it will fail as it is assumed to be an invalid international number
I called AT&T support but they refused to help me stating that I am at fault for not using an AT&T device.
I have rooted the device using towel root and removed all Veirzon blotware.
I also installed PreFixer and it works sometime but I prefer to find a permanent solution if possible.
Question: is it possible to convert my Verizon S5 into an AT&T one by flashing it and installing an AT&T image? or will that brick my device?
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I appreciate your replies.
I have the AT&T G2, rooted and Unlocked. Currently running kitkat via Cloudy G2 2.2 and have TWRP. I bought the phone to use with BYO Wireless, a prepaid company and all went well. I stuck the SIM in and activated it; there wasn't a problem. Until I realized that I couldn't receive any texts! I can call and be called, can send SMS and MMS, and data is fine as far as I can tell. The one, consistent problem over every ROM I've tried including reverting to stock is the lack of SMS on the receiving side.
I read online to try and put it in another GSM phone but the only one I could find said "Invalid SIM", it was an old Blackberry.
I've already tried taking it out and powering the phone down for a while, which only solved the issue where the SIM wasn't detected.
So a week ago my phone stopped sending texts and at the same time started putting US area codes in front of all my numbers. I managed to get the area code thing to stop by turning off assisted dialing. Then I went looking for the sms centre number to see if that got messed up as well. But there is no sms centre option in the message setting menu. Any ideas?
My phone is G900V unlocked, rooted with Safestrap and SuperSu. Android 4.4.4 stock NK2. I am using a non-verizon simcard in Kenya, and texts had been working fine for the last year with the same sim card. I receive texts just fine.
Edit: I guess what I'm asking is:
1. How can I edit the sms centre number on a stock G900V
OR
2. If I switch to to a custom rom like Alliance, will I be able to set the sms centre number?
I'm having a similar problem. Only I run MOAR on my Verizon s5 and I have a TIM simcard in, as I live in Italy. I know this is an old thread but maybe a bump will help. I dled advanced signal status and tried that way, with the TIM smsc number, but that didn't seem to help.
Hi all,
I'm always being shy to post, but this is an amazing place for information, this time i couldn't find anything that I was looking for so here it is the question:
- I have bought LG v30 from South Korea unlocked 128gb phone
- its recognize Verizon sim card
- 4LTE internet is working
- text messages or voice phone calling is not working, if something else is calling me it goes to voice mail.
I have called to Verizon tech support they told me that they cant enter manually the IMEI address since such phone doesn't exist yet in they data base.
Dear community,
I'm asking for help or guidance - what can I do to make this amazing phone working. I own a business so its very sensitive for me to receive phone calls or txt messages.
PS my previous phone LG V20 got completely ****ed up on construction site.
THANK YOU
In order for a phone to work reliably on Verizon it must have LTE Band 13. I'd imagine the Korean version does NOT support Band 13. Most phones support Band 4, which Verizon sometimes uses, but without 13, you're out of luck in most places. I'd either wait for the unlocked American V30 or get the Verizon branded one.

I suggest you take a look at the video in that link below. Although it is for the Note 8 Unlock version but you never know.
