Cases for Umidigi Z Pro - UMi Z Accessories

Which cases are available at the moment? I think Umi Z cases fit?
Is there a 360° protection case with extra space in corners?

As far as I know, yes. Most sellers on Aliexpress indicate "for z/z pro".
Physical dimensions are similar AFAIK.

I use an apple 7+ case, cut the side for vol, power and top for headphone and fits fine, lots more choice just check 1st

Update.. just received the flip case. It provides all round protection on the edges.
The retail box on the "Z" case indicates for both Z Z Pro...
Pictures of the flip case attached.
Edit...
Unfortunately, the flip case came without the outside sleeve of the box. But I have seen somewhere that the label also says for Z/Z Pro.
I'm still waiting for my Z Pro to arrive. I don't own a Z currently but am sure they'll both fit the case.

Ebay has some cases.
I bought the case from ebay, you can search using this Hard Plastic Back Case For Umi Z/Umi Umidigi Z Pro Phone Protective Cover
It is pretty decent and slim.

This is one of the case, I'm using. Bought from Aliexpress, you should be able to buy from eBay as well.
It makes the phone look cooler but not much of a protection.

Has anyone found a rugged rubber style bumper case for the Z/Z Pro yet? I bought several cases and they are all rubbish at providing screen protection from a fall. I'm ideally looking for something like this which I used for 2 years on my OnePlus One. It has a nice rubber feel providing excellent grip and it has a raised bumper surround which protects the screen when the phone is placed screen down as well as providing solid shock absorption on all corners should the phone fall.
I really want to find something which will actually protect my new Z Pro!!

I've been searching as well. My conclusion is zilch.. Nothing will fit what you require. If only someone can design a bumper case that sits on the top edge of the unibody case, I doubt it would be effective given that slight amount of contact.
I would be happy to know too if anyone found that "perfect" bumper case.
Alternative I can think of now is to cut away the front of the S cover and use that bumper case. It's slightly better than the usual bumper case.
Just my opinion.
Cheers to all!

Having searched all the usual online stores (AliExpress, GeekBuying, Banggood etc) as well as eBay and Amazon I decided to try this iPhone 7 Plus case from Tudia which with some slight adaptation may do the job. I'll need to punch a hole on the top edge for the headphone jack (I plan to use a hole punch designed to make holes in leather belts) and I'll also need to trim/create space for the volume and power buttons which I plan to use a pinchers and/or a scalpel to shape and some sand paper to smooth out the finish.
That's the plan anyway!!!

Yeah.. I've come across others who mentioned they can modify the 7+ to accommodate the Umidigi.
All the best mate!

Just FYI my plan didn't work out as the 7+ case is too loose on the Z to give me confidence to use it everyday so I've donated it to a friend who has a 7+.
Anyone know of a rugged 7+ case which is a nice tight fit for the Z?

If the result is that the case is a loose fit on the Z Pro, unlikely you can find anything to suit your bill.
Personally, I think the internal dimensions are crucial for a good fit.

Looks like Vodaphone Smart 6 phone is same size and layout at the Z , cases appear to fit fine without any modification ..

Recommended Prophet cases?

Which case for the Prophet would you recommend?
My main criteria are:
- Screen protection
- As slim as possible
- Leather (desired)
- Cheap
Any advice is greatly appreciated.[/list]
the slimest there is... you can't use the touchscreen unfortunatly (or am I wrong maybe?)
anyway I havn't seen a leather case that wouldn't make a brick out of a prophet. I find it strange - you can quite comfortably put a prophet in your pocket, wich makes it very portable, but you can't have a case that doesn't spoil it.
You might find the following case suitable. I believe it adds the least volume to the unit given that it is conformal and very thin. (There might be something better, but I'm not aware of it.)
http://www.ebcases.com/Detail.bok?no=3331
There is also the possibility to customize the case as well for a fee. Thus one can ask the supplier to minimize thickness rather than providing the maximal protection to the unit.
After much pondering I came to the conclusion that having no case was best. It keeps the prophets small foot print and is still very useable. Invest in a good screen protector though.

I felt exactly the same until I accidentally dropped mine about 2 1/2 feet onto a tile floor and it dented/scratched the top corner of the device. Not extreme, but it was only a light tap on the ground.
I immediately went out and bought a gel skin made for the Prophet. Adds nothing to the weight/size/form-factor of the device.
I saw one that had a flip down plastic screen protector as well, but figured that was a little overkill.
Of course, these are in cell phone shops all over Asia, don't know about other countries.
I've found many people on the street using these skins instead of cases just because of the form-factor element. It's a shame to ruin such portability and, dare I say, elegance, to protect it.
But even now I feel like one of those guys that leaves his television remote control in the cellophane wrap so that it won't get any wear and tear... it was made to be used!

Hi vsc, that is a great case - the best I have seen so far! Thanks for the link.
I see that this case is for the Jam though - are the Jam and Jamin 100% identical (the form is identical (I believe) but not the button arrangement, right?).
I will contact ebcases directly also.
Thanks!
I asked the guys in the UAE and was told that the JAM / JAMin are identical. From the spec sheet they are within 0.2mm in size.
To be honest I had one of these in hand a few weeks ago and there was no issues with button placement and fitement in the case.

That is the reason why I really think that a protecting case is necessary (in case the device falls that is) - specially for a $600 device.
On the flip side, adding unnecessary bulk to a device which was purchased due to its slim form factor is kind of contradicting. Thus, I am searching for a very slim case, which still provides protection.
thulsey, which silicon case are you using? Have you heard of Skintight cases from Pamwarelabs http://www.palmwarelabs.com/Products/ProdList.aspx?CateID=36 ?

Thanks vsc!
As long as the cut outs are not covering buttons, I guess thats fine then.
So, from the pictures of their website, the case really looks very tight and it appears that it doesnt add any (at least not too much) bulkiness to the s200. How does the case appear if you saw this it in person and on a Prophet? Do the pictures reflect the impression given on their site?
What about these?
Has anyone tried out the aluminium cases like the ones sold on expansys? Or this one for example
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=71
I know the last one is kind of not a case, but a carying holster, but nevertheless...
Yes the pictures are a good representation of the actual case.
Note that the cover flap has padding on the outside surface, but the supplier can manufacture the case without the padding to reduce volume. There is a hard card within the flap, so I don't consider the padding to serve any purpose.
On the other hand the case I'm using while I wait for the leather case is from Brando,
http://shop.brando.com.hk/bwsiliconecase_details.php?id=49
Simply put the unit in your pocket with the screen facing inward.

I will contact the supplier to see how much the case would be without the padding. Anything, which makes the case a little slimmer helps - specially for that price.
Btw, is it cumbersome to put the silicon case on and off? I was thinking about the silicone case but I would have to put the device out of the case every day (for charging in desktop cradle and car mount, etc) and dont want o fiddle with this each day. Way easier to simply slight it into a case.
Changes to the case were US$10.
With respect to the Brando case...seconds. The problem is really related to the material's affinity for dust. Drop it in your pockets and you would be amazed as to the mount of crud it picks up. It wipes off with a microfiber cloth or cleans up with water.

got a brando silicone skin and it tore in the corner of the screen where it is thin. It also had a spot on the keypad that was thicker making it look like a black dot and not transparent. I found it to fit very well, but was a little thick, felt like a Wizard when holding it. Dust isn't too bad if you're not a dirtbag.

The one I'm using is very similar to the one from Palmwarelabs. It even has raised icons on each of the buttons so you can (sort of) feel what you're pressing. I think it's a local brand here in Taiwan, but I'll look into it and see if I can find it on the web.
When I was searching, I noticed that there are several different thicknesses of silicone, and various levels of craftsmanship that go into cutting things out (like the screen area, infrared port, etc.)
Get the flexskin from www.boxwave.com!!
You won't be dissapointed!

hey vsc, I talked to EBCases today and they said that the case for the Jam wont fit the Jamin due to different button arrangements.
According to EBCases' customer service agent (very friendly and helpful!), they are working on a new case right now, which will then fit the Jamin. The new case would probably take another 4 weeks in order to be released.
I might just wait for this new case, since their case really is the best I have seen so far (and I have looked at a lot of them).

Another case thread...Slimmest Kaiser Case?

Well there seems to be a lot of views about the best cases out there, just wondered what the most 'pocket friendly' case was?
Don't care about the material as long as it isn't a sock or a stick-on option (ie an actual case)
Definitely no belt loop, preferably a very low profile clasp etc...
Basically just want something that is likely to stop it getting scratched up in a bag or if it was dropped, but don't need full armour!
Any good suggestions?
I've been looking for something pocket friendly as well... I'm almost ready to just get a thin sunglass pouch... currently I'm using a case for a Sprint Mogul, but it has a belt clip...
i use an ipod slip case, and have pulled off the belt clip, gives good protection to the screen,
going to order a leater slip case from www.pdair.com to see what thats like
I've got one of these - http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000164&products_id=6561
Doesn't add much to the size at all, and I keep mine in my pocket all the time.
Here is what I'm using, it comes in Black, Brown or Pink:
http://www.wirelessground.com/tiltflipblack.html
It covers the back and front very well, the cut outs are aligned very well, it has a slimmer form factor than the Krussel Orbit I normally use.
Here is the one my spouse uses, it comes in Black or White:

i would be interested in your opinions and if you could confirm these points for me:
1) Can you still use the touch screen?
2) If the slide up and tilt works fine with the case on
3) The general quality and how bulky it is in a pocket
this looks perfect for me as i wanted a 2 piece armour case where i could still slide open the phone

The "tiltflipblack" is made by PDair and is available for 1/2 that price. I've had one for several weeks and it still looks new, and I wear it every day. It's the perfect case for me.
The slimest most "pocketable" case I've found yet, is the formfitting Noreve case as seen here:
http://www.pocketpcfreak.com/archive/00006945.htm
It is also one of the very few - true - formfitting cases (using a laminated leather design, w/o the ugly and disturbing plasting cover over the KB. It protects the front and back really well, if not so much the sides. Easy to use and good workmanship.
Actually it IS meant (IMO) for pocket carrying.
Have it for about a month, still looks as new. If however looking for a drawback, then to my daily use pattern there is one. While in the case using the Kaiser/Tilt for navigation (in a cradle) needs taking it out of the case.

Just wanted to add my comments based on owning 4 different cases for the Tilt/Kaiser ...
The PDAir aluminum cased is good and pocketable. It is a little on the heavy side, but I've carried it arond now for a couple of weeks and it's all right. The downside is that there is a hard plastic protector over the touchscreen of the Tilt. You have to open the case to use the touchscreen or you have to take the hard plastic out. You can either cut out or push it out with some force, but the plastic is glued in and is under the neoprene that cushions the Tilt against the case. Not the smallest feel in the pocket, but no leather covered cardboard bulk feel. The size of this reminds me of a naked 8125 in my pocket (did that without disaster for almost 2 years).
I also tried the PDAir leather flip case. That one is definitely not pocketable unless you have some REALLY big pockets. And I'm not a big flip cover guy. Another strike is the plastic keyboard cover.
I also tried the Noreve and it's a nice leather case. I would consider this one pocketable, it's rather slim. But it has the flip cover. The good thing is that it has no plastic keyboard cover. It's a little loose when you close the cover with the snap. It's not loosely held in ... that's a good fit. But the snap doesn't hold the flip cover down as firmly as I'd like.
Lastly, I JUST snapped on one of the plastic snap-on kind. Good fit, but not sure how much the plastic will help in a fall. It snapped on tightly ... so tightly it took 15 minutes to get it off! I did not like that at all. If something goes wrong and you need to drop the battery quickly ... 'quickly' won't happen with this case. You can still use the touchscreen and it's a very tight snap on fit. Doesn't add much bulk or weight for pocket storage. NOTE: if you pick one of these up, be careful and check whether the belt clip button on the case is screw on or permanent. The permanent ones won't be pocketable.
The best feel in the pocket is the plane Tilt/Kaiser with no case. But I know I'm pushing my luck if I continue to do that. Still switching up to see what I end up liking most. Hope this info helps folks.
Tothotspur said:

1) Can you still use the touch screen?
YES!
The openings for the keypad and LCD are tappered to provide the best access to the edges but they become alittle harder to get at due to the thickness of the plastic.
2) If the slide up and tilt works fine with the case on
Yes the screen slides out and up to the normal position. The upper softkeys are silightly harder to get at when tilted due to the tickness of the plastic.
3) The general quality and how bulky it is in a pocket
Fit was tight, and snapped into place. I do not plan to use the clip as it is optional, but I will follow up with a proper review and test it out. I will get exact mesuraments later but it is not a big change and well worth the extra size.

Yup! Cheap Too!
I will follow up with a better review tonight.
What I do not understand about using the transparent plastic snap, is why the hack would one need a case at all when all the really "pocket sensitive" components (Touch screen, Camera lens) are not covered at all... IMO if one is indiferent to this, they may not need a case at all.
I guess that all cases are kind of trade offs. Whatever protects adds bulk in the zones protected, light protection protects less than heavy armor but presents snappier use and so on.
The potentially best solution I've seen yet is actually not offered for the Tilt/Kaiser. It is made by EB Cases and called the eNovo. It is made of sturdy yet thin laminated leather, offering a form fitting case with an optional leather flip.
http://www.ebcases.com/-strse-3333/eNOVO-PAQ-6500/Detail.bok
I'm trying for some time to convince EB, Noreve and BoxWave (the ones apparently having the technology) to think about it...
Cheers,

Careful!!!!!
Guys, be careful with those flip leather bags!
I'm having really bad experience with this one. It has a sheet of protective foil (0.5 mm thick) over the keyboard, so when the screen is closed, this foil is pushing the screen away from the keyboard.
One week of using this crap bag and now I can actually pull the screen away from the keyboard 1mm or so (left side in closed position). And when I shake the closed phone holding the keyboard, i can see and hear the screen flapping.
Apparently the hinges are not stable enough to resist any objects between them. I don't see a way of tightening them up myself. (Although I'm pretty do-it-myself guy, don't feel like taking this thing apart without instructions).
So I'm just getting myself an aluminium case, at least it won't get worse, 'cause the screen and keyboard are allways fixed against each other.
And I strongly recommend you consider whether you want to ruin an expensive unit with a cheap bag.
I add this one. It's a high quality leather case.
A little bit expansive but i'm so glad to have it, it's really good.
I really want this case, but does anyone know of a side case that exposes the miniusb, so I can plug in my headphones

Agreed, I personaly refused to use that type of case after seeing another touch pro flapping after it got taken out its case. Mines thankfully has never been in such case and is still like new. Avoid may well be the best advise. However it does limit what you can pick though. I use the HTC sleve, and then put that in my mini s belt case. A bit bulky, but until a good solution comes about, it'll have to do.
I too use the sleeve that comes with it but my problem is when I keep it in my pocket , sometimes when I receive a call , it answers on its own , very irritating

hey, i'm lookin for a leather pouch type case w/ no belt clip like the one that comes with the european version of the touch pro. I would really like to have the soft cloth inside to clean the screen as well, any suggestions?
i have the sprint touch pro

Does this kind of case exist?

So I have been looking for a suitable case, to fit my needs. I love the leather selection noreve has and the build quality looks awesome but when it comes to the case design i am not to much of a fan. I know casemobile and others have a vertical type slide in case which I like but the quality seems to look a bit cheaper with the side bands and so forth.
I am really looking for quality and case design like this but for the touch pro.

Just curious, what about the Noreve case bothers you?
I've used it for my Tilt and it was the first thing I ordered for my Fuze (well after the InvisibleSHIELD).
Noreve has redone their beltclip and I love it. I think it's great how the keyboard isn't covered by anything and the case is solidly snapped into the case. Even with the keyboard extended it takes effort to remove the phone from the case.
I have purchase a Nutshell case model 261 directly from Nutshell in New Zealand.

not the cheapest case but their quality is very good and you can customize it to your liking. I have selected the Industrial Steel Belt Clip with a Magnetic Flap Closure. The outer shell is made of approx 1/16" thick leather with the iner liner made of a velvet like material.
This case really looks like it will outlast the phone and model 261 is a perfect fit for the Sprint Touch Pro (CDMA)
This is my first Nutshell case but will not be my last.
The service is great, I place my order online on November 25 and received it on December 10.

Thanks , i don't know what i was doing wrong lol, too many late nights
I was not sure which one of their case would be a better fit so I email them the exact dimension of my Touch Pro (There are at least 3 sizes) and they responded with model 261.
Since they are located so far, it's better to confirm which model will fit your phone prior to the order.

"Triple Armor Hybrid Case" Opinions? (Ballistic SG Knock Off?)

So I was surfing on ebay for a rugged case for my n4
I ran by this...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Triple-Armo...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item5d43674502
It seems like a ballistic sg knock off but at a lower price
comes with screen protectors too if that matters for anyone...
Does ANYONE have any experience with this case? If so, please let us know!
Otherwise I'm going to order a Ballistic SG this week.....

I would order that ebay one instead of the SG.
I had the SG and it wasn't worth the money. The problem with it is that the silicone isn't a perfect fit so the nexus 4 slides up and down a bit. The plastic piece that goes over the inner silicone cover occasionally comes undone a bit (it's hard to describe exactly) which leads to more sliding of the nexus. The plastic piece doesn't stay on as well as I'd hoped because the silicon is too soft to let it really clamp on well.
That ebay one is much cheaper and appears to be basically the same.
The case I have now and would really recommend is the mybatt. In addition to a back plastic clamp on piece, it also has a front screen side snap on piece so its inner silicon layer is sandwiched securely. I haven't had any sliding issues like I did with the Ballistic. Here's a review someone did on the mybatt: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120148
It does come in a couple different colors. I have the all black one because I thought the white might get stained with dirt.

Thanks for your opinion!
I went ahead and bought it on Amazon through a third party for almost $6! (CHEAP price IMO) Ebay had it for 9 bucks :victory:
I read some reviews of it. It seems like people had a mix problem with the sensor cut out. Do you have any problems of your own or any cons you want to bring up?

I personally didn't have that problem. It seems to have mainly been on the first few versions of it that came out. People didn't mention that issue as much after it had been out for awhile. I just got mine about a month and it's been fine.

just to follow up with this post...
My case doesn't have this problem either so if anyone is interested in getting the Mybat Tuff Case & doesn't mind the bulk. I highly recommend it!:good:
My ballistic case fits perfectly without problem but hey that one is cheaper
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I have the Ballistic case and it fits good. Mine doesnt slide around in the rubber part and Ive never had the plastic cover fall off.
I do wish Gumdrop made a N4 case though.
