[Q] Dialer app causing battery drain

Hi all,
So I recently took my trusty N4 running CM 10.1 w/Matr1x 9.5 all the way back to stock.
Used Wug's root toolkit app (great stuff), downloaded the 4.3 factory image from Google and took the phone to a completely stock version -- lost root and custom recovery in the process (as expected).
I have since rooted and added TWRP. The only apps using root at the moment are Auto Hide Soft Keys, Better Battery Stats (XDA ver), Busybox free, Greenify, and Quick Boot.
TLDR: N4 is Stock + Root, running 4.3
With the phone all set up now, am facing a weird battery drain issue.
The app that takes up the most battery is the DIALER app. I've attached screenshots from right now showing how the dialer is #1 draining battery (ignore the high battery life, this is from overnight when the phone was barely used).
Over the past week the general trend I'm noticing is ~12-14 hr of usage (normal usage of calls, browsing, email, all sync enabled; phone dies at this point), dialer shows CPU total 1h30m+, with very little actual foreground time. This is a far cry from the 15-20h I've generally gotten from this phone (whether stock, AOKP, CM etc, same usage pattern).
A friend of mine suggested that maybe the proximity sensor is keeping the phone and dialer app awake constantly. I used the Proximity Sensor Finder app which showed me that the proximity sensor was working. Playing with the proximity sensor in this way seems to reduce the CPU usage of the dialer, and improve the battery life.
Questions: Hardware or software issue? Any other way to debug/test what is broken?
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions are welcome.
Any one have any ideas?
My battery stats today morning: Phone at 80% battery level after 1h 35m, with dialer at 51m 6s usage.
Seriously wondering if this is RMA material.
Have the same problem with my n4. Stock rom 4.4, rooted. Drives me nuts. All of a sudden dialer sucks my battery empty.
I'm not sure but I think you may use Greenify Xposed Module (donation pack) which makes you can hybernate system apps.
You could use it to hybernate the dialer.

Battery possibly draining

Hi!
I have ~25h from 100% to 0% (turn off) on battery. About 5 hours in web (static sites with text), 3h in games (lighweight 2d), so it was 8 hours screen on (brightness 60%). Wifi and 3g on. Things like stay smart etc turned off. No photos or video taken. Few calls, every about 3 mins. No GPS. CloudyPro II with xposed G2 Tweaks (+ GravityBox and XBlast for nav and notification bar settings - have them on N4 also and everything was fine). Custom kernel - newest Dorimanx.
It's strange but I think that G2 now lasts almost the same as mentioned N4 I had before.
I heard that I should flash custom rom on clear, stock 4.4.2 from LG. Sadly I've read that after I flashed old Rayglobe for try (4.2.2). Then I've wiped everything in TWRP and flashed Cloudy. I have win8 so massive problems to flash stock 4.4.2 now. I don't want do everthing from 0, so I'm asking I should be worried about aspect in this paragraph.
So, back to point. Is it normal? I saw that someone have 50 hours on one charge.
Hahaha I have 5h on screen time and I am pretty happy already, never been able to go 2 days without charging. So to me your SOT is amazing!

Android system battery drain

Hi,
Im getting bad battery life in the past 2 months, I tried to flash the latest stock rom, rooted the phone and deleted bloatware, and im also using greenify.
after doing all of those things im still having trouble with battery drain.
at GSAM battery monitor it says that the app usage is 62% (screen is 31%)
20% goes for Android system, and 13% goes for Kernel (Android OS)
at settings - Android system 25%, 15% android os, compared to 15% screen.
Is there anything left that I can do it order to fix this?

Battery Full Alert

Hi Friends,
My device is GT-I9500 stock (non rooted) and I updated to stock Android 5.0.1 . Is there a way I can set some alarm sound when the charging of battery gets full?
I think I can use other Apps, may be like DU Battery or some. But looking for some out-of-box feature that I am missing?
Thanks.
I don't know about touchwiz lollipop but google's lollipop doesn't have anything like this.
Touchwiz kitkat had a notification which told you it was full. And the LED turned green at 100%.
Guess the only way is if you use apps. I use Battery Doctor to control my charging.

Hi GDReaper, Thank you. Yes 4.x was using LED and even the touchwiz lollipop used the green led for the purpose which goes unseen or unattended. So I was looking for a Sound/Alarm solution for this.
I heard about Battery Doctor but looks like so much advertisement, also looked at the DU Battery (not installed yet).
Thank you.
I used both. Didn't like DU.
Maybe with Tasker you can set an alert for when the battery is 100%.
Or there may be some other apps.
Notifications on full charge
Hey Prabhat,
You can try this app out: Battery Zen by Dwarka on the Google Play Store. It is a lightweight app ( Just 1.2 MB ) and provides customizable notifications to you when the battery is fully charged.
Cheers
Dwarka

Always-On Display Battery Usage

So I am using A5UX 2017 Rom on my J500H and always on display uses like 1% every 20 minutes with wifi on all the time... I'm curious to know how much every one else's device use battery with always on display.
After using stock kernel and greenify i am getting around 24 percent in 7 hours
I know it is too much but you need to remember our j5 doesn't have native aod
I can pick a custom aod theme for j500m??
Note: i have aod and it work fine
