Just wondering if there is a way to force the pull down screen to a dark theme. I really don't like the bright white, and it clashes with the rest of my theme which is black / dark in nature.

Tried it and it didn't change, I use Abstract Blue now and it's the same, the top half where the toggles are is themed, but the actual notifications are black text on white background. Thanks for the suggestion tho..

Just got the update and I'm with you. Black theme, incredibly white notifications. If you find a solution please share. Cheers.
I think themes need to be fully updated to support 7.0 and or we need a supported version of samsung's good lock to change notifications and lock screen colors and wallpaper..... IDK
Yep, I'm missing the good lock recents too.
S8 been out over a month, still no GoodLock update - been searching all over, even checked getting old apk... ?

I love this app. Although I have issues with the upload and download portion. Just one question/suggestion for the developers. Can u make a version/ option to invert the colors. I've been messing with the gmail app that has black background and im pretty fond of it... plus I hear dark colours significantly reduce battery drain on samoled

Had no idea what you were talking about until I saw the signature.
Yeah, black background would be nice. Blacks on AMOLEDs are basically just the pixels shut off, whereas with LCD the backlight continues to eat energy regardless of whether most of the screen is dark.

Under settings just change the display style to dark. My xda app has the background black w/ white text.

Just an FYI XDA doesn't develop this app, Tapatalk does. They have the same app for hundereds of forums. The forum admin installs a plugin on the server to allow Tapatalk to work, and then they can skin a version of Tapatalk to go with it.
If you have requests for UI/Usefullness you should probably look them up, not XDA.
Hi,
Just got an S4 and I had thought settings background would be white with black text. Turns out its like its same as in S3 I.e., black with white text.

It can be done yes, you need to theme the background white and change the primary/sub xml files to white text.
Dont 'spose you have a flashable zip? I much prefer the Note 8.0 menus
Or use another launcher instead of TW to change the background to whatever you want it to be.

A launcher won't help. We're talking about menus and things like the dialer app here.

Guess I cannot ask you to teach me stuff (changing the background), but may be a suggestion to browse some forums, perhaps?
I think he mean this.
I know the first dump file (I9500XXUAMC6), has the light grey settings menu.
Yes. When did Samsung decide to chsnge it. In fact I have similar settings background on my S3 as well. Any way to get this back on S4?

Only some S4 markets get the white background. I believe T mobile USA for example. International units are black.

There is a thread in note 1 n7000 on how to change background for contact/messaging/setting/my files.
That's for jb4.1.2. Might not be the same with 4.2.2. It's your phone so you decide.

White on white issue? You mean like black on black when using a black theme? Hmm. That means your text it fully transparent. I don't remember there being an option to change text colour in pacman.
Anyway, you're gonna have to find a way to change the text colour. Maybe by using some app. Was this always the case? Like since you flashed the ROM, was it this way? Or did you mess around the settings and found this issue later on? If it wasn't there from the beginning then you could wipe data and reflash.

I was searching for a pure black theme for Samsung. I found some options but they were too flashy. What I want is pure clear black UI to show off my badass amoled screen and save some juice.
So here is the BGN Amoled Black Theme
-Full clear black no flashy accents
-Regular updates (report me issues with screenshots)
-Notifications are default light. (Black notification mods are headache)
-Whatsapp black mod included
Screenshots are attached.
How to install?
1) Download the latest apk from second post
2) IMPORTANT: Open Themes before installing APK else you wont find the theme there.
3) Install APK
4) Apply theme reboot and enjoy

Awesome, thanks, but when I apply it I get a message: "some items are incompatible and may not be applied"
thank you very much for this one. [emoji106]

Snapdragon user here.I found an app if you used substratum previously (as it doesnt work anymore)Called Good Lock in Galaxy App Store, you can theme your galaxy with it and it's not too bad actually.
What is your Guys Opinion on this ? I think Its great that Samsung is letting us do customization

Part of the panel as a whole. Settings and other system apps are not themed.

I've had it since my Note 5 and it's really nice.
I have an issue though. When I make the notification tray transparent, and I pull it down, the zone of the notification bar is shown a little bit brighter. Do you guys know how to fix this?
Edit: Ignore the screenshot, it's cropped wrong
