Well, that's new! You sure you went around the settings properly? You might want to check again. Hope it helps... Or else try clearing the dalvik cache etc. and do a full wipe and reinstall the ROM or flash any other custom ROM.

Fingerprint option is not avalable in earlier version of COS 13. Try latest nightly or COS 14 or LineageOS 14..

i think u cannot see fingure print sensor option is because ur sensor is damaged. zuk z1 has fingerprint sensor design issue. if it is damaged go to service centre they will replace it. under warranty then free of cost. i had same problem. now fine.

How is that possible? If your sensor is damaged how will the software option disappear? The software option will still be present, but just that you can't use it. It must be still shown in the settings menu right?

I'm currently running on NucleaROM -M6.0 (Final and Stable). And also used RR6.0 which is kinda heavily customisable. Basically I'm not into customisation but need a good battery backup. So I chose NucleaROM over RR. And I'm impressed!
And this is just my opinion... I don't mean to discourage any devs! Actually I'm very happy to see so many devs working for this beast when people who are paid for doing this is not even giving a damn! ****ing Lenovo! Well, I get kinda carried away when I talk about this. My apologies.

Use that app to check whether your fingerprint sensor is working. If it's showing succeeded then you can pretty much be sure that it's a software issue...

Yes bro, we have to presume that it is a hardware issue. You must replace the sensor. But the thing that wonders me is that how did it happen? Any chance of applying over pressure on the sensor? Or did it come in contact with water? Maybe when you tried to unlock the phone with wet hands? Any chances of that kind?
Nope it suddenly happened
After power shortage battery died and when booted again the sensor was not working I reseted it 3 times changed the ROM but nothing happened
I will now try nougat Roms and will finally downgrade it to original cm 12.1 and get it replaced

While I was on original firmware cm 12.1 the fingerprint was detected but misbehaved
It would ask for unlimited tries and get set automatically
But would never been used at lockscreen

Yeah... I've seen them... But I still don't understand how the sensor will stop working all of a sudden!. Saw a post saying that when he woke up the next day morning he was asked to setup the fingerprint reader. How can that happen? Overnight the sensor decided to die? Lol ?. Until and unless we did something bad to it, it can't go wrong right?

I think the battery indicator has a glitch that *Detection* has a temporary fix for. However, even partly broken, the ROM is fantastic. I would like to use it as a daily. I'm just not going to jump the gun on it. I'd like to see a little more in the configurable option department, like a reboot to recovery option in the shutdown menu. Removing the Phone.apk and Telephony.apk also. No real need for them as we stand. That's my 2 pennies so far. But, Paul has really gotten far for such a short time, and I'm excited to see where he takes it.

Do you think it would be safe for a late model B70 sbk2? I've seen the warnings but i really wanna try it. Caution vs curiosity. I know it's a stupid risk to take with the official ICS just around the corner. What do you guys think?

well, if you got a backup you can try the ics , as it can be done for daily use, but its not recomened. if you want to try make sure you got a working backup, also if you restore honeycomb after tested ics, you need to flash a HC kernel

Risky considering you have no nvflash recovery should anything go wrong.
If you find you have no root / access to CWM you would be basically screwed.
I would listen to your sensible you this time and wait, yes it is bad having to wait, but worse if you brick your tablet.
ICS is nice, fast, but that soon fades with the current suspend / wifi bugs, I would advise waiting
Agreed. I've been in plenty of situations where CWM has saved me and always restored without a problem. It's just a shame i am not able to see the progress as it is happening and I can't be one of those people in the dev thread saying any updates?

The main thing is the kernal. Paul uses a different kernal to get ICS to function more smoothly. In the realm of sbk2, my main concern would be that NVflash doesn't work... and if something goes wrong, you are left with a really expensive coaster. With the rate that Paul has put out updates, it should be no time until we see a daily out of this.

Asking for updates is like asking for an eta..don't do that. These guys are doing this on their own time, it is disrespectful to be impatient.
And fyi guys, i have a B70 if it roots with razor claw and can install cwm, and as long as you don't flash over your recovery you should be able to rescue any bad rom/kernel flash. I guess if my recovery went screwy i would be SOL but so far I've not had a problem. Be patient, and check and double check every step.
Did you wipe dalvik? Factory reset? Better make sure before you flash that rom and do an md5 before you flash any recovery to be sure it didn't corrupt in the meantime..if you are really careful, patient, and read a lot, and i mean A LOT, before you flash you can get away with flashing an sbk2 safely. If on the other hand, you've never flashed anything before, and don't know EXACTLY what you are doing, then i wouldn't risk it.
Paul's ICS is great progress, but unfortunately far from being just a novelty due to the bugginess and loss of functions. I played with it for about 5 minutes before I decided it wasn't ready for prime time and went back to revolver

about asking for ETA doesn't meen your disrespectall ful, look at all the ICS questions that asus got, its not disrespectful, you ask's for something that is good to know when you can be able to prepare to leave Honeycomb and go to ICS. but in this case Paul is almost alone working on this. and i can see that asking ETA when he does this on freetime will make it much more harder to set a date! SO asking ETA Isn't Mean. you really show that something is wanted and can give the OP both glad and angry moment's......
Anyhow. The Work goes amazingly fast forward, i wish i had his schills

You do realize asking Asus for an eta, when they are a company selling a product, and asking developers who are working for free in their own time, are not the same thing right?
Read the rules. It says pretty explicitly.. Do not ask for eta's.
Well the ETA thing was a joke simply because every third post in the dev thread is got an ETA. Don't let the lack of posts fool you I have been around the block a few times. Also if I hadn't been reading I wouldn't have known that it was not recommend to install on sbk2 devices.

Help me out..... where does it say no etas? Serious question.... thnx
I think what the last post referred to is when you pay for a service it's ok to ask them(ASUS) for an ETA but when devs here (Xda) do it for nothing more than street cred, fun, or cause they want to it is not cool to ask for an ETA.

Ok, it isn't as explicit as I thought, but it has been pounded into my head because it's been repeated so many times over and over..
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1376759
And Here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1081035
OBKING77's video cites it here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzpixaIOwSg
This part IS in the guide (though not in the rules);
XDA-Devs is about developers & hackers helping each other and working together to get the most out of our devices by understanding them better than most.
XDA-Devs is not about helping everyone who wants a "Kewl bit of kit" make their phone better than the guy next to him.
Now do we go kicking users off who never contribute anything, NO. We tolerate it to an extent. Where the toleration ends is when these users start diluting the usefulness of the forum by repeating the same questions over and over again.

I've just read it so many times it's become a 'rule' in my head. Sorry I was not accurate when stating it was 'explicit in the rules'. But it is a matter of respect for the devs
I wonder if we could do a tally and see how many posts on xda are actually people asking for updates or etas? Probably be in the thousands if not more.
Anyways back on topic.... sorry about that i thought that the implication that it was a joke was pretty clear in the previous message.
So i do think i will try ICS out after i do my backups. I suppose as a trial it will be good.

Oh my goo00d!!!! Moderators???
@Vaith @randymess He's telling everyone that titanium could be causing a possible wake lock. Why bash him for that?
In fact why bash anyone? There's no contribution when your comment is negative, it helps no body and solves nothing, just a little ego boost for yourself.
KitKat is a new base for us and any issue or thought is helpful, don't just knock someone for attempting to contribute, whether you agree with it or not.
Thanks dladz,
Was a force stop on titanium rather than I'm just stopping using it.
And yes I thought new firmware and lots of people suffering from poor battery life

I've heard quite a bit of people complaining about battery life along with a load of other issues, I had it on my phone for a few days but I ended up going back to 4.3 for my own reasons, I just found it a little more stable.
A full wipe would fix more than it's fair share of issues that people are having.

Haha, no worries
I asked for it to be closed as it was just going round and round.
I think the problem with a place like XDA isn't the concept of what XDA is all about, it's the mix of cultures and what some people deem acceptable behaviour, others may not.
I tend to take most of it with a pinch of salt but some people are just plain vindictive.
I've been on XDA and before that Villain Rom since the beginning of Android, it's supposed to be a place to help one another not bark orders or belittle someone because they either don't understand something or misunderstood something.
At least that's the way I think of it.
I'm not a saint either but I'd sooner help someone than make them look like a spoon.
Also i'm not alone in that thought, some of the people who i've met on here have been absolute legends and would do anything to help, far too many people to name but they know who they are.

They probably didn't even think about this possibility. But since the dawn of Android it was a common feature that every app can write and access the SD card at will and if this is not possible, these apps are stuck and in a loop constantly trying to get access and this drains the battery faster than broken tyre loses air.

I know, this was clear to me, but how such a cracked mind do that without even think about it? Thousand scientist and engineers working on it. I really hate how they try to put us in this way, by force, trying to globalized all the devices as iPhones.

Nah I mean like how did you get it on your phone? Via flashing it? If so does it work properly. Because I know it's not out on PC companion just yet, in the UK.

You only need the FTF for that.

Yea m8, using flashtool you don't need to root your phone for that.
All part of the flashing process.
You don't need to root your phone nor unlock the bootloader to flash an FTF file.
it's simply a case of choosing the correct model number and just flash away (mostly)
You can always return to stock and you can always get back to where you was.
This is one of the greatest things about the Z1 i've found, i had a HTC One previously and i missed how you could flash rom's without the need to use a PC but with the Z1 it's so much easier to get back and remove root.
Sorry forgot to mention, obviously flash the correct type of FTF if you ever do, if you've never done it before then research it until you understand what youre about to do.

So in the past I've mention that OnePlus One had issues if you try to charge it while it's turned off, the charging led(red) isn't on and I went here to tell my story:
https://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/114705-oneplus-one-charge-when-turned-off-charging-and-led/
Well not much people got interested in this so I still persuit this and open a case in the "famous" jira cyanogenmod reporting system and open this thread:
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-4187
So even since CM12.1 this issue exist and maybe from previous android versions, now I saw today that it's been solved, so I update my phone to the latest official "cm-13.1-ZNH2KAS1KN" and check it out ...guess what, no resolve so I tried to post on JIRA Cyanogenmod that the ZNH2KAS1KN still has the issue
When I figure out that the "RESOLVED" from "Pat Erley" which was assigned to fix it was to make my account "inactive" - great resolve
P.S. When I open this issue one of the cyanogen guys told me "I can't add votes and I'm not going to advertise the issue (and I would rather you not either). The activity would have been me assigning the issue"
He didn't want to "advertise" the issue, why? ...why he wanted this to be quiet? (this is visible from the jira cyanogenmod link I've mention in the second link
P.S.2 Share this to as many OnePlus One users possible, cyanogenmod jira is useless(and they mute you if they don't like what you are saying)

The build released in July when he closed the issue ticket is ZNH2KAS254. Check by flashing that build first if it's actually fixed. I don't personally ever charge with screen off and I'm on Omni right now so can't confirm for you at the moment.

Flashed ZNH2KAS254 (same issue) also the newer fix ZNH2KAS2X1 (same issue )
Did the flashes but forgot to update it here ...the issue exist and never beeing fixed since CM12.1(or maybe earlier I'm not sure when this started but it was there since CM12.1 for sure)
P.S. In omni as in CyanogenMOD the charging experiance while turned off is even worse, in Cyanogen you don't have red led lit but the screen has a BIG battery, the CM, omni etc etc have a tiny tiny small white battery that reminds me of the year 2000 ...also no red led lit(same issue)
I'm using the cm nightlies and it lights up fine when charging while powered off. No percent number but the light is there. I stopped using the official software months ago because of bluetooth spotify audio stuttering which also no one cared about to fix. Nightlies are running fine but without gimmicks like slow shutter and raw (but slow motion is there)

Currently on COS13.1.1 ..and issue the report based on COS not CM(had CM in the past but there still was this issue while the phone was turned off - didn't check CM for a while as I'm on COS since COS13)
It's unacceptable the official rom for this device to have a broken rom, charging led works if the phone is on but that's a different matter

Problem not fix with the OFFICIAL rom, I really don't care about nightlies or made by papajohn ReMixERrSZzz or whoever, currently I don't feel like playing with roms, I do have a simple root in my COS(look what I wrote, CyanogenOS aka Cyanogen)

Official Nightlies are the same code made by the same guys who make the stock OS, COS just has some closed source apps and comes bundled with gapps. Can't wait to see your dumb comments when you realize you'll never get Nougat COS update but people using CM Nightlies will

Why don't u just charge with the device turned on? Airplane mode on and plug in charger there you go. I wouldn't be happy to wait for a boot every morning.
I just woke up this morning and my phone updated. Now it only charges to 60%. I'm pissed. Real pissed. Who has a solution? I just looked on Sammobile.com. No .tar files are there to flash a downgrade. Beware. Turn off auto update, or you'll get screwed too.
I got this message too. It didn't update automatically though.

I just tried to revert the firmware to get rid of the stupid nag screen and 60% battery limit. It did not work. ODIN failed. There is no way in hell I'm giving this phone back. I'm going to find an exploit. Some how, some way. Somebody out there knows how to get rid of this. If I have to I'll pay for a JTAG service through my boy in Vietnam . I've already contacted him for support, but he is asleep right now I'm assuming.
Anyone find out a fix for this

I fell victim to it myself. It really sucks because I was out contract for years. Dedicated a 2yr contract in exchange for paying $430. So yeah I can get my money back and a free phone, but when the next note comes out I'll have to spend $800+ to buy it since I'm in contract now.
Funny thing though now that I have this 60% limit, the phone is running much hotter and has become more laggy. I know this is intentional to make us trade it, but I've had mines since day 1 (didn't have any exchanges in) and I've had 0 problems. Thanks to the media for being there to magnify an issue that doesn't seem to be as big as they make it.
Samsung needs to be more like Apple in the phone issue Department "f you it was probably your fault", "you used a 3rd party product", or "It's a fake version of our phone".
Hopefully someone comes out with a way to remove this update or charge limit.

Yeah. I have a fix. Download this .tar and put each part in the right box. Turn on OEM unlock and Debugging and flash with the latest version of Odin3_v3.12.4_4 . Thanks man. It works. It does wipe your data so make sure you back everything up. Also Samsung Pay will no longer work. Since Samsung is forcing the recall, once you lose samsung pay, though it's loaded in the phone it won't open. Just gives you the "hopefully samsung pay will be supported for your phone soon page". But hey either charge 60% and keep Samsung Pay or Charge 100% and lose it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure android pay still works. Samsung just discontinued support for Samsung pay on the Note 7. So once you lose your current version it won't let you run it anymore.
Hi, A couple of days ago I had the misfortune of getting "Moisture in the usb port" notification and since then my G6 won't charge when turned on (it does when it's off but that's not a real solution).
I've tried a lot of things, but none work.
Is there any way to disable the "moisture sensor"?
I was thinking there has to be a way to disable it by messing with the kernel or maybe a custom a rom.
I am not a developer but I can tinker with the code, I just need some pointers or anyone willing with some experience willing to help. Or maybe even some documentation (I don't know if I'll be able to parse it or not but it's worth a shot)
PS. I have ruled out hardware issues as best I can. If it is still a hardware issue then I guess I'll have to replace the charging port and the parts with it.
PPS. I can't have it replaced because there is no official store or anything else here and I have the canadian model. (h 873)
Same issue here
I am having the same problem after the update a couple days ago. Never had issue until the recent update. I have looked through all settings and can’t find how to turn off.
with root maybe and xposed can fixed but you have h873 so no root go back to nougat and see
It an option or should be in the hidden menu settings. Just like this
*#546368#*873#
Type that in your dialer and it will open the settings he posted above.

Turning this setting off did not make any difference for me and I've seen other reports of that as well.
Someone said you can kill off "LG System Services" - yeah, that stops the notification, but for me still doesn't let the phone charge.
The first time this happened a couple days ago I was able to charge with the power off, and the warning actually went away for most of yesterday, but came back last evening. It's gone away occasionally but my phone still will not charge via USB. Now even with the phone off, I get a pictorial version of the same warning on the screen.
It's off to second-year promise land for me.
I found the moisture setting in that menu but I'm not able to turn it off
