Native Hotspot widget - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Hello all! I was wondering if any native Hotspot widget exists? Or maybe a quick setting widget? I'm on stock sprint and I was wondering if anyone has an apk or bundled apk with stock widgets, if it even exists

Take a look at More Shortcuts app in the Play Store. Surprisingly and without root it can create a shortcut which will toggle WiFi hotspot. At least, on my T-mobile V20 it does

yeah, my T-Mobile LG V20 has a Hotspot widget

It does? My LG V20 doesn't. Can't find it anywhere.

I think I figured it out.
Long press on an open spot, select widgets, swipe through until you find a 1x1 Settings gear widget.
Select that, then scroll through the options for which setting you want, wifi Hotspot should be near the top of the list.

Samsung Apps

I managed to overwrite the stock weather widget from the Samsung Apps with a different style but i'd like to go back to the original weather widget. Any ideas if this is possible?

if you go to settings-applications-manage applications and choose the widget from there you may see an option which says ''Uninstall updates''
this is how it works in SGS but I am not sure about sgs2. it should work the same. just give it a try...
What warfanax said. I also updated, but the 'new' weather clock was broken - no locations were recognised. I uninstalled and got my old widget back (which is much better because it can be resized).

Dash Clock Widget Question

I have dash Clock installed on my homescreen of my S4. Awhile ago I had another device and I was able to expand the Dash Clock widget on my homescreen, basically showing majority of my extensions. However on my S4, it seems like I'm unable to do that. The widget shows up but I can't expand it.
Just wondering if anyone have a fix or workaround for this? In the meantime, I'm gonna try a different launcher to see if that works...
*EDIT*
Installing a different launcher fixed the issue
do the messages and missed call options work for you? theres a few that dont work

Negative, that's what bothers me the most.

Dashclock lockscreen?

Hi all,
Did anyone find a way to put Dashclock widget (or any other widget) by default FULL SCREEN on lockscreen?! I always have to swype down to open it in full screen!
Tried full screen lockscreen Xposed module but it doesn't work on LG G2!
I'm talking obviously stock ROM and not AOSP...
Thanks.
I think I only ever got it to work if I had no screen security enabled at all. Otherwise most of the screen it taken up by the unlock area.

in KK,
Under Settings -> Security -> Widgets There's an option for "Start maximized".
UPDATE: Sorry, didn't see your sig at first. Your running 4.2.2. Not sure about that one.

[Q] Alarm clock on lock screen

I just got my wife the GS5 and she loves the phone except for one issue--the alarm clock does not display its next alarm on the lock screen. Is there a way to display the next scheduled alarm on the lock screen? Coming from a nexus, it was automatic and very useful.
Thanks
Hi All
Is there any solution or workaround for this issue?
Thanks.
It's presumptive and rather unreasonable to expect that some feature that happens to be a personal favourite should be on all phones.
There are many ways that you could add this to the S5. Zooper widgets, preferably in conjunction with Dynamic notifications would be one way.

It's also presumptive and rather unreasonable to advice without knowing...have you tried your advice? Could you make it work? If so, elaborate, please!
I heard that https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alarmclock.xtreme.free this app should be able to do what you want. But maybe it won't if it needs to display a widget, because lollipop doesn't support lockscreen widgets.

I've been using this very app (paid version) for years - unfortunately no, it cannot (S5 or Note 4).

Remove app drawer

How to remove the app drawer like s7 http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/galaxy-s7-remove-app-drawer/
on Lolipop S6 ports
just pretend, if your launcher has an option to automatically put icons on the home screen choose that (or do it in playstore settings). then if it let's you, remove the app draw icon from your launcher dock or switch to a launcher that will let you. although it's fugly as all hell so I don't know why anyone would want to.

It isn't possible without a third party launcher.
This no launcher trend was introduced only recently with the release of the S7 and G5, and both run Marshmallow. So I don't think it's available for lollipop unless someone ports the feature.

You do realize that it is possible to create app shortcuts on the home screen, right? Every launcher has this.
And he may have removed the app drawer icon somehow. I'm sure exposed has some options for customizing the touchwiz launcher.

I highly doubt touchwiz lollipop has the option to disable the app drawer and make it iOS-like, because I never heard anything about it until the S7 and G5 came out. But both are running marshmallow.
If there really was such a feature on touchwiz lollipop, people would have discovered it sooner.
What you saw in the video is probably some modifications done by the youtuber (Xposed or something).

Galaxy A8 launcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/themes-apps/hot-note-5-apps-style-port-t3182299 has this option: long press > Home screen settings (where is wallpapers, widgets, themes, screen grid) > Home screen content > Show all apps on Home screen, but it doesn't work (nothing happens)
