Capacitive touch is super sensitive, or just the Galaxy S screen?

I bought the Galaxy S yesterday, retiring my "aging" HTC Touch HD. I've never really used a capacitive touch display, so the sensitivity of the screen is very noticeable and surprising. It is so sensitive, infact, that I don't have to touch the screen for it to register my "touch". I noticed the same thing with a HP touchscreen computer I played with for a few minutes once, so is it normal for capacitive screens, or are some screens just (too) sensitive? Or am I just closer to an electric eel than the average person?
Regards

They are very very responsive compared to restitive touchscreens.
Yep, a resistive touchscreen requires that two layers are pressed together, so a definite press is required. Capacitive screens just need to detect an electrostatic field, so touching the screen itself isn't necessarily required.
I went from a touch hd to this too, and hell yeah its sensitive! Got used to it now tho.

Small portion touch screen not responsive

I just barely noticed it because I never just the letter ("cue" or where "one" is), but my n4 touch screen is not doing anything solely in that area. Do you think it's something I can fix myself or do I need to contact Google??
Whoops figured out my whole screen calibration is shifted to the right like a significant amount about 1/4 of an inch

[Q] Touch Grid and Display adjustment

Short:
To any G2 owners, can you confirm whether or not the display has a visible touch grid of dots on the screen?
Also, can you adjust the color tone for the display in options anywhere?
---
Long:
Some reviewers say it has a dot grid, some haven't mentioned it, however the reviews saying it does I think might be using the trashy AT&T screen protectors which actually have this grid directly on them. So I am *hoping* it isn't baked into the factory glass/cover.
Also, does anyone know if you can adjust the color tone and make it over-saturated like a Samsung AMOLED screen? I've been using OLED-based displays for 5-6 years now (since the Zune HD) and I'm extremely partial to them. I wasn't a huge fan of the HTC's Super LCD 3 (I could see it flickering and blacks were washed out), and I have heard the G2 compared to its quality, but wanted feedback from someone who might have a more final end-user experience.
It does indeed have the grid...can be seen with the screen off in the sun light.
Ir does yes, just like the nexus 4. Having used it all day out in sunlight I can say its only visible when looking at the phone at a extreme angle in direct sunlight. The upside i guess is that it does feel like a very touch sensitive screen.

yup has the grid. i think my last phone that i noticed this on was my og Inc lol
I would have never noticed this. Just shined a flashlight on it. I dig it.
Yeah, will confirm, I went to att to check the phone out...wish I had the money to buy it outright...but it does have a touch grid...not noticeable at all though

Touch screen sensitivity

Hello all,
I want to know whether my sensitivity of touching the screen affects the strength of it...I mean, if my touch is a bit hard and after some time does the touch screen gets weaker??
Should i keep it as smooth and light as possible to maintain the sensitivity of the screen??

Screen burn

Ever since nougat update I can see screen burn in top right where time is displayed. What do you guys recommend? Should I use warranty? Will it increase?
Me too have this problem

I've once replaced. The replacement screen started burn-in after one month.

It is a common problem with every LCD hd displays and amoled displays
The software puts a lot of brightness in the screen, and the screen can't handle this. Use the Bluelight Filter app with the black filter in 5%. The LCD of this phone is not designed to support super white-brightness screen.
Has anyone who used the application had any problems again?

I've used it. Almost no burn in but you can see some if you observe closely. Now i just use color calibration in custom roms.
