Hello all,
I want to know whether my sensitivity of touching the screen affects the strength of it...I mean, if my touch is a bit hard and after some time does the touch screen gets weaker??
Should i keep it as smooth and light as possible to maintain the sensitivity of the screen??

How is the touch sensitivity on the Nexus One? I ask because my myTouch 3G has serious sensitivity issues towards the edges of the screen. It either won't register a touch or it will only register after pressing harder than normal.
Also, how is the sensitivity compared to an iPhone?
I would say its equal to the iphone if not a little bit better.
Supposed to be a capasitive display, so no need to press at all, touching is enouh.
some time is good, some time is not very responsive, my friend say the weather is too cold, it need to warm up to working. just kidding

Well, the myTouch 3g also has a capacitive touch screen, but mine definitely has sensitivity issues. For instance, when viewing a video, it is extremely hard to jump to different spots using the slider at the bottom of the screen. It just won't respond most of the time.
i knwo what you mean. i had a mytouch 3g and switched to nexus one. I can confirm sensitivity on nexus one is MUCH better, on par with an iphone.

That could easily be the processor not responding, not the screen...
How does the screen feel?(is it glass like as on ipodtouch/phone)
I have the g1 and I hate the plastic feel of the screen. Makes swiping feel odd
In didn't expect to be this impressed to be fair. Only thing so far is I keep missing the spacebar when entering text
the nexus one screen is glass.
I haven't had a single problem hitting menus/keys and I can safely say I love the touchscreen and response from the N1 more than my iPhone & iPhone 3G.
Screen sensitivity doesn't seem to be as good as the 3GS, but it's really so close that you would have to have used an iPhone for 3 years, like me, to really be able to tell the difference. The difference is so small that most likely won't notice it, but you call tell the difference when trying to select links in the browser, without the trackball, for example.
I just barely noticed it because I never just the letter ("cue" or where "one" is), but my n4 touch screen is not doing anything solely in that area. Do you think it's something I can fix myself or do I need to contact Google??
Whoops figured out my whole screen calibration is shifted to the right like a significant amount about 1/4 of an inch

Is there a way to increase the touch screen sensitivity on this phone?

No. The touch interface is pretty slow and inconsistent compared to better phones. You will have to live with it.

I'm noticing this phone has a lot of issues... I was pretty excited at first, but now I'm more I'm really undecided among phones with similar specs (moto g5s plus...)

what is the problem with touch that you are facing?
I don't have any issues with touch sensitivity, how do you see that ?
One finger touches are fine and accurate it's when you use 2 thumbs when playing games. Sniper type games are the most noticeable, while using my left thumb to aim it doesn't register my right thumb tapping the shoot button unless I press really firmly also if I hold the shoot button the aiming get notch too but I only noticed it after the September update and not sure if it was there before that

Do you use screen guard for your mi a1? I don't know if your screen guard is the problem or something else though. If you use screen guard, try to remove it and see if it solved. Hope this works.

Hi, is there any way to increase display touch sensitivity? Im asking because I use a screen protector and its really unsensitive.
Maybe is there a way we can change/modify/downgrade/upgrade our touch screen firmware.
Does anybody know which touchscreen firmware we have?

Switch to a better screen protector. The 'full glue' ones have better sensitivity than the ones with 'dot matrix' especially in the corners.

I think I have the glued ones, its not bad, but it just slightly less sensitive. Typing on keyboard is a bit tricky, but I got used to that.
