Fully Bricked Looking for some help - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

My Axon was at the twrp menu at 1% this morning so i went to shut it down to charge it but i havent been able to get it back on since. At first, plugging in the charger would prompt a light vibrate and red LED every few seconds but this has slowly stopped and the red LED only flashes every so often when i hold the power button. I've been trying to get into EDL Mode but with no indication from the phone, along with no indication of connection from the computer, I've been unsuccessful. If anyone could offer me some help to even get into EDL mode so i can flash out of this, that would be great. Thanks

Maybe forcing the EDL mode, using a moded USB cable:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3537990
Search for the cable and instructions on that link

It seems like it's trying to boot into EDL mode but the battery isn't taking a charge. Have you tried connecting the phone to the wall charger for like an hour and then connect it to the PC?

Boot into TWRP... then follow my other directions.
From the op of KFU thread:
Known Tricks
•If you end up stuck at the yellow triangle, in KF Utility select Boot Normal, wait for it to say <waiting for device> and then press and hold the power button 20 seconds until the fire turns off, then when its off turn it back on. This sometimes happens, I have yet to find a clean solution
•If you end up stuck with a yellow triangle, do not EVER unplug it. Leave it plugged in. Check the windows drivers to make sure it isnt showing as "kindle" again. Fastboot is different and can cause this.
That fixed my issues in fastboot when I was trying to install TWRP the first time. If that doesn't work then check out this post
I cannot boot into TWRP because the kindle keeps shutting off because it is dead. It isn't read by the computer.
Plug it into electrical outlet and leave it alone for three hours.
While waitin for three hours assess your problem and find the solution. Search.
Then execute solution after fire is charged.
Will it charge even when it keeps turning on and off?

Yes it will keep charging.
It did not charge... At least I don't think it did..
When you plug it in do you get a solid color or is the light flashing?
When it's plugged in to the wall and the light is solid you should perform a hard reset by holding power for 20 seconds. This will fully shut down your KF and it will accept the charge
If by flashing you mean turning on and off by itself than yes, it is flashing.
Please help..I'm losing it
Same problem here. It does not seem to charge when plugged into either wall or computer. The green light flashes on and off repeatedly and the recovery screen (yellow triangle) just comes on and off (it eventually just goes black while the green power light continues to turn on and off)
in order to help myself I have done a few things
1: KFU isnt working.
I updated the drivers through KFU
I tried to change bootmode to "normal" and it hung on "waiting for device" I tried hard reset here and nada
2: I tried booting into normal fastboot 4000 through command prompt and hung on "waiting for device" tried reset..nada
So just like the poster above I cannot get into TWRP as the computer never truly recognizes the KF. This all happened when my wife turned on my kf and didnt know what the TWRP was and hit the power button for recovery. It loaded back to the stock kindle set (I had been using CM7) and since then I've been eating FUBAR soup as it doesnt work
Seriously..im pulling my hair out here...any help? I'd try to return the kf to Amazon and save myself the pain but I think we know what would happen when they plug it in and see the flashing triangle...lol
1. Plug your kindle in to the wall for 3 hours like someone mentioned previously (it will charge) The issue with the device being in a boot loop has nothing to do with the kindle fire not charging, this is perfectly normal if you have modified system files and the system can't boot the Android OS. It is also normal to never get past the Yellow Triangle if for some reason that you have changed to FastBoot mode. (Some people may be misinformed thinking that FastBoot does what it sounds like it does (boot fast - not the case), that's how this usually happens)
2. After you know the kindle has been charged for at least 3 hours on a known working power outlet. Press and hold the power button on the kindle for 20 seconds or longer until the device powers down completely.
3. Press the Power button to turn the kindle fire back on, and be ready, as it comes back on press the power button as soon as the Yellow Triangle (firefirefire) logo first appears. Press it up to 5 times rapidly. If you get to TWRP then you can relax. - If you get to the Yellow Triangle and you have pressed the Power button a few times but it is still stuck in a boot loop before giving up try one more time to shut down completely and reboot while pressing Power button rapidly.. You want to be sure to do this before the Yellow Triangle screen goes dim .
4. When you are in TWRP you should be able to use KFU or ADB. You may want to change the boot mode if it is not already to "Normal" if you are having this problem with "Normal" then try to reflash the Kindle with a recovery image or a new ROM.
Hopefully you can at least get to TWRP by following this, so that you can at least flash the kindle with a different update.zip. Good Luck
Charged like you said...still no charge. Flashes on and off and when you pull the power cord goes to black like its dead and will not turn on at all whether you hold it down or just push it...
Never had a problem like this before, could always at least get it to turn on or off not a mix of both lol. Thanks for the help...any more ideas on how to get it where I can at least get it into recovery?

I'm experiencing the same thing.
I'm still confused... are you guys trying to charge it while it is in the boot loop?
Have you tried turning it off (holding down the power button for 20-30 seconds until the screen and the power button go dark and stay dark)? And then plugging it in? I wouldn't expect you to see the firefirefire triangle if the device is off while charging.
The other thing that you might want to look into is the factory cable. Supposedly charges the device and can access it w/o any battery power at all - if I understand that thread correctly.
The point is you can't turn it off, it's dead. If you try to put it on charger either through wall charger or USB, it blinks on and off repeatedly and the power button does nothing at all. The computer won't recognize (tried several diff ports and pcs)
I'm beginning to think the factory cable is my only option to bypass the bootloop and fix it, just hoping I wouldn't have to wait so long for a cable or drop 40 bucks on it. I guess that's what I get for messing something up!
I left it bootlooping for like 6 hours on the charger. Unplug it and you can't turn it on. Plug it in and it bootloops and you can't turn it off. So is this just bricked for good with no possible fix?

Sorry. I was obviously hoping I was misinterpreting.

You may want to PM SkOrPn, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23024666&postcount=108, seems like he has them for $15/$19 depending on length (if your location is accurate.)
Kindle fire turning on and off by itself and won't charge
The only way I know around that problem is unfortunately to remove the back cover and remove the battery with a good adjustable power supply apply 3.7V to the battery for a 30 to 60sec it will draw approx. 3.4A and over the 30 - 60sec the current draw by the battery will drop. Be very careful as you don’t want to blow it up. Put the battery back in and you should find the kindle will charge again. Good luck
Hmmm, I wonder if the factory cable would be an alternative as last I checked an adjustable power supply (if you're without one) can run 70-100 bucks which is half of the kindle itself, I'd almost just take my chances sending it back in to amazon. Thanks for the help though from someone who has had the problem

[Q] Battery issue or bricked? full symptoms list

From what I've read, a bricked phone and the known battery issue seem to have very similar symptoms.
Long story short: I was running a benchmark and the phone turned off and would not turn back on, and there was no red charging indicator. I let it charge overnight and now I have a blinking red charging indicator and I can get into Bootloader and Recovery while plugged in to the stock charger (5V 1.2 amp), but not when plugged into the computer (5V 500mA). I tried restoring AND full wipe/ fresh install and it still won't boot. When plugged into the computer I can get to the bootloader for about half a second and it will turn off. Also I can get into "download mode" on either connection, and I did not have "USB Debugging" enabled when it first turned off. What is download mode and how do I use it?
What do you guys think?

flash the factory img via fastboot.
I have the similar issue, I can't charge the battery, while charging there's about 3mins RED LED last(not flash), hold the three buttons, but just a black screen, no bootloader no download mode.

[Q] Stuck in "Firmware Update" display

Was plugging in my G2 to charge it and suddenly it had this screen. "Firmware Update. Do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete."
How do I exit safely? Will I corrupt any data or damage anything? I was only plugging in my phone to a wall socket, so I don't know why there would be such a screen. Help anyone? >.<
Someone knows how I can exit safely? >< Please?
That sounds like its in download mode, which you get to by turning off the phone, then plugging in a usb cable while holding vol up. I always assumed the usb cable needed to be connected to a computer for that to happen, but maybe it works if it just senses power.
Anyway, if the bar isn't going anywhere (and it shouldn't be since its not connected to anything feeding it data) then you should be okay unplugging it and turning the phone off, then back on.
Edit: Just tried it with my phone - turned off, then connected USB cable/wall charger while holding vol up and sure enough it went into download mode. I unplugged the cable, then held the power button until the phone restarted. Booted as normal.
My Lg ls740 prompted me to do a system update 3days ago and has not came back om since. It just keeps flashing from LG logo and the android man...i have tried taking battery out...factory reset...and everything above . Can anyone help?!?!

S5 Strange USB/Power Issues

The other morning I woke up and my phone would not turn on after being on the charger overnight on the night stand.
I removed the battery, power drained the device and still the device would not post.
So I grabbed my spare battery and tried that, still no post.
I plugged in my device and noticed the charging light was not coming on, so i tried a different adapter and yet again no change.
I disassembled the phone and swapped out the USB flex cable with a new one, still no change.
So I plugged the device into my computer and I received a battery gray battery image that flashes away almost immediately.
I unplugged the phone held the power button down and plugged the phone back in. I received the Samsung writing with the model number but the device just goes back to the grey battery and flash away,
I attempted to boot the device to recovery mode but it just loops back to the grey battery,
I had then decided to try download mode with odin and restore the stock ROM. I can get the device into download mode but no computer recognizes the device in device manager or odin.
I have removed and re-installed the battery while in download mode and any computer will still not recognize the device.
I noticed one strange thing. If i remove the USB cable from the phone while it is plugged in the phone powers off and will not turn on until it is plugged into a power source.
It is almost as if the phone does not recognize that the battery is even plugged in!
If anyone has any ideas or could possibly point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys in advanced if anyone can offer any information on this issue!
Also, the phone is out of warranty!

Had the same issue on omni, flashed other rom at around 20 % to not run into this situation.
Try reconnecting power a few times, maybe you can put enough juice into the battery to boot right into twrp - that's where it might charge - did for others - and where you have to go anyway for a new rom.
I had a similar situation on the stock rom. I had battery but the phone shut down and wouldn't start. When I plugged the phone in it didn't show a charging light. I left the phone plugged in for a few minutes then simply held the power button for about a minute and it eventually booted. Good luck
hii,

Try to plug the power cable then firmly push (hold) the power button for 2 minutes. Sometimes this way the stucked phone turns on... Good luck!
