I've stock Axon 7 and nothing is modified or unlocked. After Noughut update last week my phone is have number of issues
1) Bluetooth seems to be unreliable and it sometimes works and something wont
2) Cannot play audio on any of FB or youtube videos for some reason.
3) Phone hangs from time to time while using Whatsapp and speicifically if I try to take a picture when inside Whatsapp it makes whole phone freeze.
4) Overall performance of phone seems to be slower compared to how it was prior to update.
I've 15GB of remaining space on my internal memory and more than 70GB of space on my Sandsik microSD card. So not sure why phone is behaving bit odd.
Anyone else having similar issues after latest update on their Axon 7 ?
TIA

Maybe the next update will be more favorable. Brave souls to install a major OS update. I'm still unsure what to run on mine. For now, might just stick to MM for the next few months until things stabilize with 7.
I would say to backup your internal storage to the SD card and factory reset your phone. Not fun to do but I bet it will help.

I was having some issues, so I copied what I could (I am stock not rooted) to the SD card and did a factory reset. So far, so good. It is a pain, but probably good to start with a clean slate...
I'm same as op, stock unrooted or modified. I did nothing except apply the n update but have none of the problems he experienced. Bluetooth is solid, audio plays perfectly, I took and sent pics in whatsapp to see if anything happened, all good. If anything my phone is faster, and battery seems to be running about the same as it was on mm-around 6.5 hours sot. Very strange how some phones react completely different to the update.

After a couple of days, I notice a slowing down and lag in responsiveness. I boot into twrp and wipe cache and delvik. That does the trick for a couple of more days until it starts slowing again. Heard this can be done in stock recovery too.

I have not. I will try that. Thanks!
My battery has definitely taken a hit. Less than an hour of SOT for 28%.. That's noticeably worse than MM.
I went over 6 hrs sot my first full Nougat charge. I factory reset after upgrading to get the Verizon sim to work.

Anyone else experiencing random reboots since gingerbread. Before i had none! Any suggestions to overcomme this. I updated via zip and did a factory reset.
Battery life is awesome however!
On the contrary, I haven't seen a random reboot since gingerbread - used to occasionally get them before the update.
Agree, battery life is better though!
You might have got a corrupt download during update process. Im good on the update. Its been great.

I had reboot issues before GB (bGB). However I haven't had a single random reboot after GB (aGB). In fact phone responsiveness and battery life aGB have been what I had been expecting from this phone since I've gotten it. Other than a few root applications, which i will wait for GB root process, there is no reason I can see to regress to a bGB state.
This phone is becoming a joke, it seems that with every update Google or Samsung are crippling this phone.
N9005XXUFNF4 was supposed to improve battery life on the Note 3, so why is my battery drain worse?
I bought the Note 3 to do away with netbooks and tablets, but now I am being forced to use them again.
When I use the internet, browsing on the Note 3 itself, my battery can lose 50% in under 30 minutes. I am then forced to switch off data out of fear that the phone will not last the day.
However, when I tether a notebook or a tablet to the Note 3, it will give me about 8 hours of internet usage before it needs charging.
So what is the point of the Note 3 now? It is quickly becoming just an expensive modem.
Are u using fully stock ? Root it, delete bloat apps and install a custom kernel. I just did these and hardcore debloated now I'm getting perfect battery/performance.
And this is why I am happily sticking to NB7 for the forseeable future.
-6%, 1.30h screen-on time, wifi on, tapatalk, firefox and gmail.... (at -60% brightness though(lux).) No root, full stock.
If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
Tried a full factory reset yet?

it is all because you need to do a full wipe my friend.
I guess after update, you haven't do a full wipe. NF4 comes with new bootloader, and though a same KK, but different base version from NE or any older one. A full wipe from stock recovery will make it better.
But don't forget, backup your internal sd card first, as any factory reset from stock recovery will do a full wiping on your internal SD. All will be gone. ...
Stock firmware has never given me that type of worst battery usage. especially in 30 minutes ? wow....
FYI, I always like to do a clean install, especially jump up firmware.

this is also my new problem when I update. before update, for one day, I charge to the maximum of 4 hours (not continuosly) full battery. today, my percentage of charging is 12 hours. this is crazy. I think I might root my phone now in order to solve this problem.

Not my first cruise here. This phone never even glitched before the 5.0, not the same performance or battery since so there is something to track down.
Any change after a factory reset of your phone?
Same issue here after 5.0. Battery drain and phone overheats after a few minutes of use. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
It seems that I am having issues as well. I have tracked the problem down to something in google play services and exchange email sync. My phone battery settings page shows that my phone is always awake.... If I do a factory reset it no longer happens. But as soon as I enable my exchange email it starts to do the same thing. My phone turns in to a nice hand warmer because it gets hot in my pocket and dies in 5 hours or so. Try a factory reset and see if it still is giving you bad battery life.
When I do the factory reset and try to do a restore of all my apps I get the same problem. When I do not restore and set my apps up from scratch it seems to work well until I add exchange email. Ill do some more testing and report back.
I dont use any exchange service just Gmail accounts and they are not on active sync, I have to swipe to sync them. Call me lazy but I dont want to Factory Reset unless its proven that its going to fix it.
Locked up so bad today Had to pull the battery for the first time since I bought it in December
No way to guarantee a FDR will fix your phone. I can tell you that it fixed mine. Battery life was terrible and the phone would get so hot it would go into cool down mode. After a FDR everything is as it should be on 5.0. IMO people should FDR after any system updates as large as the Lollipop update just to make sure all the KK files and data are gone so there are no conflicts.
Amen to what newman said i would factory reset before complaining about problems. I haven't updated to 5.0 yet because i really don't see a reason to just yet but i would definitely factory reset for peace of mind if i did.
I did a factory reset twice and still same problem. Battery drains and overheats. I find it weird that some phones have the problem and some don't.
But it definitely is a problem and I don't really "complain". Some people just ask for help which I don't think is the same as complaining. Like Bobby, I've been doing this for a while. I've been rooting and jacking with android phones since the og Droid.

I too was a Rom swapper in a previous life but dont have time these days to keep up and needed a rock solid daily driver so I stayed stock on this phone. Please let me know if the reset does fix the issues. I hate to reformat all my stuff again for nothing. What a shame though to fugg up a great phone like this, you would think by now they should have it figured out so this doesn't happen. Or at least leak it early so the rom chefs could have a chance to find the flaws before the release

How did you figure that out.
I played around with s health a bit after loading lolipop, and noticed thats when it heated up on my phone so I froze it in titanium backup, but didn't restart. Apparently the pedometer was still keeping track of the step because it was still running. Restarted the phone and haven't had the issue since.

Hey guys,
I just bought the moto x pure on Amazon.com and I have been using it for last several days.
I'm experiencing some noticeable lag while using it. Browsing, gaming and even the YouTube videos are jittering.
2nd thing, the battery doesn't last even a day. Same usage on other phones like ZTE z7 mini I had before.
I have the most recent software.
Is there any thing to do about it?
All reviews I saw said the phone is very snappy...
You give no details on what you are running.
I'm running stock rom, no root.
First big question... Are you using adoptive storage (sd card seen as internal memory)? This has been confirmed by many to cause the lag you are experiencing.
For battery life there are too many reasons to list as to why you are not getting all day battery life. What apps are running in the background? What do you have syncing? What is your SOT? When you got your phone did it have KK and receive the OTA to Android M? If so did you do a hard reset? These are just some of the main questions. If you have only had it a few days, it may just be a matter of letting things settle in. Run a full charge down to ~10% - 15% and recharge fully a few times and see where that takes you.

Sorry but adoptive storage does not cause lag.
Op you should do a factory reset and see if the problems persist. I would suggest rooting so you have more control over your device.

If you use a slow SD card for adoptive storage you will get lag in at least some apps if they are installed to the SD card. This problem has been reported by many users across Android devices on marshmallow. Using a fast sd card will cut it down dramatically but if an app is installed to the SD card, at best the load times will still be slightly slower.

OK but adoptive storage is not causing the lag, the SD card is.

Point taken. If the SD card the is not fast enough, it will not work well if used as internal memory under adoptive storage. And just to be more clear, even a fast SD card may not get rid of all lag dependent upon factors such as manufacturing defects or true speeds versus advertised speeds.

Seems something is keeping your phone from going into Doze mode, which explains that overnight drain. Google Now and the background stuff it does can cause a lot of drain. Also, turn off GPS when you aren't using it. If you are in a low signal area, turn on airplane mode and it will stop scanning for stronger signal. Definitely some wakelocks going on the background too.
Location might be on. My moto x I recently bought actually lasts a long time I'm suprised
Hi guys, I have bought a nexus 6P secondhand but I'm dealing with the problem of random shutdowns. After that it won't boot unless it is hooked to a charger. Some facts that I think might be of some influence or what I have tried:
- I bought it with Cyanogenmod 14.1, first day flashed back to stock 7.0 but kept my bootloader unlocked;
- Today I flashed an OTA update to 7.1.1;
- It happens random while using the phone, but I manage to reproduce the failure when using Google Camera and take pictures very rapidly (don't really know what the phone activity is at that moment)
- I've got a new battery on the way, might that be the issue?
- Battery status (percentage etc) doesn't make a difference. Might as well happen at 100%
- It doesn't happen while on the charger;
- It didn't happen in safe mode (didn't test this for too long though, but the fast camera action didn't kill the phone;
Does these descriptions make any bells rinkle? For me it looks like a defective battery but I'm happy to hear some expert about this
Thank you all for reading!
Yup, mine does the same thing. I believe it is supposed to be fixed with the new 7.1 release. Its the most inconvenient thing ever. I rarely takes pics now because nobody has a usb-c charger to get my phone turned back on. I'm running stock 7.0. It's not your battery.
Well that would kinda suck, I just updated to 7.1.1 and the problem is still there. Do you have a source for this thing?
I had the same random reboots.
I too suffered from random reboots in 7.1.1 dp2. They increased in frequency gradually. One night, it stuck in bootloop. Couldn't even boot into recovery. Browsed through threads here and reddit posts. All said the only solution was to RMA as without recovery nothing is possible. Huawei is replacing the motherboard as it's under warranty.
I just updated to 7.1.1 and I also can still confirm it's happen. I called huawei and they told me it was a software issue and it's not resolved and there is no fix other than to load 6.x on the phone. So basically, I we have a turd of a phone and nobody seems to want to fix it. Google told me it was a hardware issue and now Hauwei tells me it's a software issue. Maybe it's time for a new phone.
Just curious but have any of you flashed the official release images directly from Google through ADP with the FlashAll.bat command that it includes? Keeping your bootloader unlocked, but flashing everything to make sure your device is 100% stock and as fresh as it can be?
Messing with OTA's and other stuff like CM, I would definitely flash it this way and test it bone stock before venturing back into the Custom Rom land as major OS changes (from 6.0 to 7.0, etc) always seem to have residual glitches just like this.

I loaded the image directly from google. I've never rooted or loaded a rom on this phone. I've only run factory images. I don't have the time to tinker like I used to.
Well that is downright strange then. There really doesn't seem to be any device that doesn't at least have a small share of mystery in some of it's problems is there? Lol.
Well that was how I reverted from CM to stock 7.0, by using the flash-all function (even though the flash all didn't work, had to flash the seperate files, but result was the same). The 7.1.1 upgrade was with a OTA flash using ADB sideload because I was rooted and TWRP recovery was active, so the OTA update didn't work for me. To be honest, I don't think my problem is a software issue. Is there any 'deeper' software than the complete rom? Is the kernel flashed seperately?

This fiasco has been happening for tons of people for weeks now, including me. Mine was just 2 weeks out of warranty, both google and huawei are pointing fingers at each other and nobody cares. I have tried all the methods possible, to flash different versions of pure factory image, nothing worked.
What charger did everyone use to get it backup a running?
Mine just shutdown this morning and using the USB A-to-C cable on a computer/car/wall outlet it didn't even recognize it was plugged. Google wants to RMA it (third one in 14 months of ownership) and I'm fighting over their 5 days delivery time for a new one.

Every charger worked for me. Now even carry a powerbank with me for when it lets me down outdoors I can get it powered on again. Plugging it in the PC also works just fine. Even a standard samsung charger (with micro-usb -> usb C adapter) works.
hah! Mine just started doing this!
I got the phone back from huawei for the 15% battery issue.. and it came back with this issue after going to 7.1.1
Strange! Mine doesn't seem to be related to any firmware state. It had this with CM14.1, stock 7.0 (factory image), and 7.1.1 (OTA flash). The only thing that is in common is that the bootloader is unlocked. Can this have any influence?

That seems to be another know defect, you should look it up on here. Plenty of people are having that problem, but it is different from this thread.
I am having the same problem too! I was trying to raise this for two times on both XDA and reddit and no body seemed to care until you came up with this!
Mine randomly happens when taking photos with HDR+ and with the battery less than 50% (based on my observation). I replaced the battery by myself not long ago though.
Huawei says going back to 6.0.1 will fix the issue... and is blaming google, saying their pixel devices have this issue on 7.1.1 too.
