Verizon S6 Edge on T-mobile can't place calls on LTE - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I just switched from Verizon to T-mobile and notice that I can't make/receive calls on LTE - even though data and messaging (SMS/MMS) work fine. If I use an app to force 3G, everything is great. I wonder if it has something to do with VoLTE but that is not enabled on my phone (because I'm not on Verizon anymore). Any suggestions?

[Q] [SM-N900V] No Service/Emergency Calls on 2g(GSM)

So a friend of mine brought a galaxy note 3 was selling cheap so I bought it because I read note 3 (verizon) were factory unlocked. I want to use a GSM sim on it, so i switched the network to gsm/umts (also tried global) but all i am getting is Emergency calls only in the notification(or barely 1 signal bar). After spending some time on it I figured out it was using 3G instead of GSM. 3G Coverage is poor where I live while GSM is excellent. but my note 3 only searches for HSPA
Changing to both, GSM/UMTS & Global had no effect. is there any way to resolve this? I only want to use GSM(2g).
(PS:nothing wrong with sim works perfect with gsm on my s3.)

Moto G4 Plus - wifi calling issue

How can I keep wifi calling enabled on moto g4 plus? Have downloaded activity app, made a shortcut for wifi calling and enabled it, but as soon as a phone call is ended, the app reverts back to the wifi calling OFF position. How can I keep it ON?
What provider you have? From what I know, in US, only T-Mobile and their prepaid MetroPCS have native WiFi calling.

I have the same question:
Phone: Moto G4 Plus XT1641 Dual SIM 2GB/32GB
OS: Android 7.0 (patch level September 2017)
IMEI: 355672081638493
Provider: MINTSIM (T-Mobile MVNO)
MINTSIM sells itself on WIFI talk and text service
Since I am not using that app, I just can suggest to keep the WiFi on and also go into the power settings to exclude the WiFi calling app from being 'optimized'.

Nougat Carrier Differences

Hello! I succesfuly installed the Nougat version for T-Mobile on my Unlocked Sprint Galaxy S7 Edge. I love the system and I definetely cannot go back to Marshmallaw and that annoying random reboot issue I had (Totally gone after I installed Nougat). Everything works like a charm Voice, Voicemail, USSD codes etcetera. The only problem I have is that I live in the Dominican Republic and the T-Mobile version of Nougat I believe is not recognizing the 3G network of my carrier. I checked online and the 935T recognizes different bands than the 935p (If im wrong please correct me).
I only have 4g and 2g so far, sounds good when you read it, but here in the DR, not all the places or regions have 4G, so I get to have 2G in some areas and I just cannot stand such a slow connection and Im looking for a Fix so my phone recognizes the 3g network. I tried playing a little with the APN's of my carrier but in all the APN's the 3g (and only the 3g) doesnt work.
If I Odin to the Nougat version of AT&T or Sprint, I suppose the problem would be fixed.... Suggestions?

wifi calling and Volte for unlocked galaxy s8

I recently brought Galaxy S8 SM-G950F (international unlocked) version and use Ultra mobile which in turn uses T-Mobile network in US. I have following queries:
1. Currently Wifi calling is not working nor can I see any options to enable/disable it. Does international unlocked phone do not have this feature? I tried the call setting menu and more connection settings but it does not appear in both of them.
2. After the call connects, my data switches to H or H+ (3G) but otherwise it remains on LTE/LTE+. Is this an issue with my phone or the carrier? My friend uses the same ultra mobile network with IPhone 6s and LTE works while on call so I think its not a carrier issue but not sure. I have heard LTE works on carrier provided galaxy s8 models.
I also have any option to exchange my phone for North America unlocked version S8 SM-G950U. Does this model supports above features? Should I go for this exchange?

You will not get wifi calling or volte on any of the unlocked phones while they are stock. Each carrier is slightly different on what u need to do. Tmobile only need a firmware flash with a carrier that has the option. Att is the hardest, many more steps.
