How can I keep wifi calling enabled on moto g4 plus? Have downloaded activity app, made a shortcut for wifi calling and enabled it, but as soon as a phone call is ended, the app reverts back to the wifi calling OFF position. How can I keep it ON?
What provider you have? From what I know, in US, only T-Mobile and their prepaid MetroPCS have native WiFi calling.

I have the same question:
Phone: Moto G4 Plus XT1641 Dual SIM 2GB/32GB
OS: Android 7.0 (patch level September 2017)
IMEI: 355672081638493
Provider: MINTSIM (T-Mobile MVNO)
MINTSIM sells itself on WIFI talk and text service
Since I am not using that app, I just can suggest to keep the WiFi on and also go into the power settings to exclude the WiFi calling app from being 'optimized'.

Dear brother,
As I know some mobile services providers have some VOWIFI provided to their users. Provided that the customer's mobile phone has VoLTE function. Unfortunately I cannot find how to setup my V20 so that it can work with the VIWIFI. Do I need to install any software or VOWIFI is only for iPhone?
Voice over wifi = WiFi calling

We have 2 AT&T branded LG V20s. Setting up WiFi calling was easy you go to settings>wiFi Calling. After clicking that, you are asked (in the US) to enter a 911 (emergency calling) address. It works fine. If you are on a WiFi network and your cellular signal is weak, the phone will switch to WiFi calling automatically during calls. All was well until I brought my V20s to T-Mobile and (as far as I know) not being able to flash the T-Mobile firmware (H918? on my H910) on my AT&T phone WiFi calling hangs in the setup phase, Everything thing else works fine though. So I guess it depends on which V20 model you are using and which carrier you are using with it.
Thank You for your indormation. My services provider is China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK). The services provider can provide this function for iPhone only. Perhaps my V20 LG H990 cannot use it. That's why I ask how to set this page.
I'm using the same provider as well. Is this service an additional subscription?
If you are using CMHK and has a iphone, you can use it.
I have an unlocked Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935U). My carrier is Total Wireless (Verizon MVNO). I recently got a new office at work, and the Verizon coverage in this part of the building is terrible. I use wifi for data but cellular calling basically doesn't work at all.
I've been looking at other networks, and I'm leaning toward T-Mobile or MetroPCS, one of the reasons being they have wifi calling and the wifi at my office is plenty fast. I checked in settings to see the wifi calling option, but when I go to settings > connections > more connection settings, which is where the wifi calling setting is supposed to be, there's nothing about wifi calling.
I had a thought that maybe the wifi calling option isn't there because my current carrier doesn't support wifi calling, so I contacted Samsung support. I asked if I get a SIM from a carrier that supports wifi calling, would the wifi calling option be enabled. They said that unlocked phones don't support wifi calling at all.
This confuses me, because this thread mentions some people were able to use T-Mobile wifi calling on an unlocked S7/S7Edge. But that thread is older, so maybe for some reason wifi calling was removed from the unlocked S7 Edge with the Nougat update?
I suppose the only way to find out for sure is to get a T-Mobile or MetroPCS SIM and see what happens. But is anyone able to shed some light on if this is even worth trying? I suppose it's also worth trying out just to see if regular cellular calling on T-Mobile might be fine at my new desk, but hopefully there's some way to do wifi calling.
Unfortunately I think you need the sm-g935f to get t mobile wifi calling. Don't think it was ever achieved on the U models
I had an s7 edge from T-Mobile (SM-G935T) but I flashed the unlocked firmware essentially making it a SM-G935U and I had VoLTE and Wifi calling working with no issues. It was about a month ago, so it was on Nougat. I would expect no issues with an actual SM-G935U on T-Mobile.
Well, I answered my own question. I switched over to the T-Mobile 10 GB $50/month prepaid plan and when I changed SIMs the phone gave me a "reconfiguring your device for new SIM card" message. Wifi calling is now active.
Also, this is a list of phones that support T-Mobile wifi calling. I probably should've checked here first.

I recently brought Galaxy S8 SM-G950F (international unlocked) version and use Ultra mobile which in turn uses T-Mobile network in US. I have following queries:
1. Currently Wifi calling is not working nor can I see any options to enable/disable it. Does international unlocked phone do not have this feature? I tried the call setting menu and more connection settings but it does not appear in both of them.
2. After the call connects, my data switches to H or H+ (3G) but otherwise it remains on LTE/LTE+. Is this an issue with my phone or the carrier? My friend uses the same ultra mobile network with IPhone 6s and LTE works while on call so I think its not a carrier issue but not sure. I have heard LTE works on carrier provided galaxy s8 models.
I also have any option to exchange my phone for North America unlocked version S8 SM-G950U. Does this model supports above features? Should I go for this exchange?

You will not get wifi calling or volte on any of the unlocked phones while they are stock. Each carrier is slightly different on what u need to do. Tmobile only need a firmware flash with a carrier that has the option. Att is the hardest, many more steps.
Hello. I was planning on buying this phone unlocked (from best buy, or amazon) and going onto Sprint for a small time period for a promotion. I want to be sure that I had a decent connection at work, so I want to make sure that wifi calling and wifi texting works on the Sprint network.
Is there anyone that is or has used an unlocked (non-Sprint) moto G5 plus and can verify if their wifi calling and texting works fine on their moto g5 plus?
Thanks for the help!!
I have a S10+ that was bought from US Cellular that I am now using on Straight Talk with a TMobile sim. I had Wifi calling working just fine before I switched to the new Beta update. After switching back to Android 9 it now says "This is currently unavailable under the call settings for Wifi calling. I am at a loss. I live in an area were the cellular signal is spotty at best and need Wifi calling to work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

AT&T doesn't like unlocked phones so it's possible the option isn't showing up because of that. Many AT&T customers with unlocked phones have reported that they needed to contact AT&T customer service to get WiFi Calling or Volte working.
