I posted the link in comment no 4 .. And for me no lags at all camera is good and you can install moto or htc's camera to get very good quality
+1
Just installed the ROM and it's the fastest and lag-free AOSP rom I've found.
+1 for PA. I have gone through almost every ROM available for my D851 and either had lag or heat issues. Holy crap this one is smooth. I'm running it now with Nebula kernel with the bioshock governor and heat issues are gone. It had been hitting 70C just charging and using Chrome, now it stays below 60, and right now is hovering at 55C. I miss a couple of features, but it is too slick to change.
Exodus is the best aosp rom for me
and the camera quality?
Well I'm on stock Rom with Gabriel kernel on Smartmax governer and Alucard hotplug ... And the phone is very good in battery and performance ... It reaches 49 °C when idle or screen off & 55-60 °C when charging and used for some time .... It hits 70°C on heavy usage ... And performance outs really good ... Very minimal lags some times but with animations adjusted to 0.5 in developer options out seems blazingly fast ...

What makes it so good? I'm making a decision between this and Exodus, based on stability and battery life. I might end up trying this first since I'm hearing so much good about it and I'm a fan of PA from my Oppo days.

Benchmark is not a measure of quality rom
it has been proven several times
Does this rom have black screen of death?

Aospa was my favourit rom until it didnt support xposed(the new update support xposed) and then i try tesla.
tesla 2.1: that rom is perfect,support xposed,remember my wifi passwort,no lags,super smooth,very good battery life,rro layers and 47400 antutu. 2months without issues.
I am experiencing huge Bluetooth problems when playing audio as it often randomly shatters and always shatters when turning the screen on after the phone has been locked or when I am in the settings. I am running an almost latest nightly (Apr 30) on klte. But even the clean CM Rom install had the same problem, so I am considering it hasn't been fixed for at least 4 months now. How do I fix this issue?
EDIT: I wrote on the cyanogenmod reddit but I was so sad to fing out how poor the feedback was there. Noone has even seen it yet.

It's a nightly, expecting complete stability is silly. Try a stable version, if it does it there then report it in the actual cyanogenmod bug tracker. You didn't pay for support here or on Reddit, whining about getting none won't get you help any faster.

I've checked it and there were a number of complaints from many users about the same thing. It seems that it is a common issue with any version, be it stable or nightly and people are expecting a fix soon. Do you have the same problem and what version of CM are you running?

Guys i am using aicp 12.1 based on android 7.1 on redmi 2 (1GB ram variant, 2014818) , when playing bomb squad, clash of clans i am getting lag. In clash of clans there is starting lag then its ok but in bomb squad while playing multiplier i exerienced a lot of lag.
So i request all the users using custom roms based on 7.x , to tell which is the best rom for gaming (if custom kernel used , specify it and its setting too) and also tell me which all games u played without lag
Thanks

Just make a thread on question & answer section, that's all.
Well I have used only two custom roms on my device 1)Tesla 2) CM13(Official), cm13 really made me cry while playing COC, but Tesla N performance is really outstanding till now, as compared to cm13 , on both of them I used LateAutumn kernel. On TeslaN COC lags a bit on start , but gets smooth after a 1 or 2. Well after being on TeslaN I never felt that I must try another rom like AICP,DU,CM14,RR all those Nougat variants available. I would try them once they get a bit stable.
Thanks to all the Devs.
Hi All,
Since acquiring MXP back in Oct 2015, I have stayed away from rooting and flashing custom ROM (something which I did from day one on my Samsung Google Nexus) because I was more or less happy with the out of the box behavior.
But now MXP on Marshmellow has become kind of slow and ofcourse Nougat roadmap is still not clear (whether it will at all come in May).
So now I want to join the wagon.
So it would be immensely helpful if you can mention which custom ROM you are using as daily driver and why sticking to it?
My criteria is primarily smooth performance and decent battery (now it doesnt last 12 hours on full charge).
Thanks in advance
Roy
I tried almost every Nougat rom (Tesla, CM, RR, AOSiP, AOSP Extended) and finally been using AOSP Extended. I feel this is the most stable and smooth one out there. I use Greenify & GlassFish script and easily get over 30-40 hours on a single charge. I don't play any games on my phone, just some web browsing, music, whatsapp etc. It has almost all the customization available too.
Just like you I was sticking to stock
Now after the N delay, tested a few custom roms. From my experience, also in gaming, Aosip with Optimus Kernel and GlassfishCP-Optimus script have the best performance, does not overheat and has near stock battery life.
Instead of Greenify (that's behaving weird and sometimes causing wakelocks) I'd recommend Servicely.
Still not tested but also CypherOS should be worth a test run. It seems like the most stable and lighter rom on paper!
all nougat roms have camera bug,,d camera focus is not so good
using RR M v5.7.4 + coffee kernel v2.2 + xposed +SuperSU v2.79 +SonyMusicSSE ViPER 2505 DolbyAtmos Sony Beats +Busybox 1.26.2 +MusicFX Installer and AudioFX Remover +Moto g4 Camera v6.0.20.6.

Thanks all for your replies - sorry for replying late here.
I have seen Moto G4 Plus camera and I am not too happy with its focus.
Is the same camera app used in Nougat roms as well?
I hope and guess the MXP moto camera app would still work - right?
Thanks again!
i am going to change my stock rom, which custom rom should i choose?
Hello all,
I have been using this ROM with Optimis r20 kernel and latest GlassfishCP script since last 4 days.
This is my first custom ROM in MXP, so I must congratulate the devs who have made this usable as daily driver.
Mostly has been running fine with two odd reboots from Recent screen.
-------------------------------------------- Problem below is fixed ------------------------------
One odd observation-FB is unable to get updates, even within app when in mobile data mode. Works perfectly fine with Wifi. Otherwise mobile data works fine and other social apps work fine in mobile data mode. Any guidance if this makes sense, would help.
--------------------------------------------------- Solution by @manddar --------------------------------
This happened to me as well on almost all ROMs, in my case mms internet access point was setup instead of one which is required for internet, www to be exact for Vodafone India.
Try to switch it and you will be good to go. Alternate method is to remove proxy from access point.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My one of the most important criteria was battery life which has not improved till now. I would still reserve my view on that as it's been only 4 days.
Camera focussing has also been same as before in stock MXP using stock Moto camera app(not g4).
Cheers
Roy.
I primarily use RR as my daily driver. Mainly because it has the most features out of all roms. I like having as much customization options as possible. Battery life is pretty good for me, and the rom is stable and performs quite well.
My second choice would be either AOSP Extended or AOSIP. Both have a lot features as well, and they're very smooth and have excellent battery life.
I don't use any mods or custom kernels.

I don't see such an issue. Maybe you have some hardware issue or a scratched lens. What ROMs did you try?
Any one facing issue with quick charge? It stopped working on my phone
AOSCP because:
-Pixel style;
-Same battery life as stock;
-No bugs whatsoever
I'm on aokp rom since early January and it has been my daily driver ever since. No sudden reboot, no app crashes, everything works fine, bluetooth, gps, moto camera, google camera (I use it only for lens blur effect). maybe someday I'll try the aoscp or the aicp roms.
What is the best ROM for performance for this device?
I'm currently on Pure Nexus (based on 6.0.1) it's quite smooth but what bugs me is that the audio stutters when trying to multitask, like browsing, opening other apps etc.
I would appreciate if someone could give me some advice on what ROM I should use for best performance and eliminates these audio stutters if possible, because I know this device is quite old and wasn't that fast even when it came out.

I'm not sure what model you have but I've tried out a few roms. CM12.1 and Resurrection Remix 5.5.7 work pretty good on my Tilapia. Dirty unicorns 7.1.1 is pretty cool but has some bugs

Would you recommend Pure Nexus Rom? It feels a bit laggy when browsing the internet sometimes.

I tried PNP but couldn't get gapps to jive with it. I gave up and tried something else
Honestly the AOSP 7.1.2 seemed to run the best, even google assistant works on it.
<updated to AOSP 7.1.2
It is running great so far.
