P9 Lite bricked - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Device: VNS-L21 Europe Hello, before brick I was on new emui 5.0 firmware and I installed nougat twrp recovery by user @BadWolfYe and then I flashed this rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/unofficial-huawei-p9-lite-t3540493 (I was following all instructions) After reboot It was stuck on Phone is booting... And I tried downgrade guide from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/nougat-official-firmware-t3512932 I flashed oeminfo zip and dloaded update.app but unfornately zip where I get update.app was corrupted..... Now I have only Huawei eRecovery, dload and fastboot but It doesn't allow installing twrp!!! When I dload UPDATE.APP It says Software install failed. Failed to check the update package. Please download the package again. Please help me!!!!!!
EDIT: I found solution to enter in real recovery(TWRP for nougat)
What I did was:
1. Enter in fastboot
2. connect phone to computer
3. open cmd and type: fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock xxxxxxxx (replace xxx with your code)
4. accept fastboot unlock
5. And then it magicaly booted into twrp (my phone's fastboot was unlocked before)
Now I am going to flash back emui 5.0
And then downgrade to emui 4.1
And then I will try to install this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/unofficial-huawei-p9-lite-t3540493
Later I will update this post and I will write does it suceed or fail.
Edit 2:
I flashed emui 5.0 with dload and UPDATE.APP

I wrote an edit how I repaired my phone

hello, i'm using Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L21. i tried to flash the stock nougat Firmware Which i actually did and it worked flawless! but there was a little problem because there wasn't any Software update option in there, so after that i wanted to downgrade to stock MM. IDK what happened wrong while installing that, my phone got BRICKED. i don't have the Erecovery and twrp either. i cant flash firmware via DLOAD Method. the only thing i have is FASTBOOT mode..
i tried literally everything.. but nothing working..
I sent it to HUAWEI CUSTOMER CARE and they returned it back after a couple of days...
im really very worried because ive been using this phone for like 2 months ... and now im helplesss, If anybody is reading this please help/ assist me out of this..

P9 Lite bricked (L31)

Hi, my problem is with the L31,
I've trying to downgrade from Nougat to MM. I saw on the thread this steps and i followed:
"Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img
Fastboot flash cust cust.img (This one is in the second zip from badwolf nougat download)
Then I flashed badwolfs recovery b2 as that one lets me transfer files from pc to phone and followed instructions from htcmania from here".
The problem is that i didn't reach to downgrade and when i try to reinstall Nougat by TWRP i get this error messages:
" E: Unknow comand (errno) update_huawei-pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed"
"Updater process ended with error: 7
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/DLoad/Update.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done"
Now my phone stays freeze on the huawei logo and the flashtool doesn't even recognize my device.
Can someone help me with this matter, please?

I followed the steps that someone advice me. Like above.
"I had to first extract the nougat firmware with huawei firmare extractor and flash everything by fastboot
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img
Fastboot flash cust cust.img (This one is in the second zip from badwolf nougat download)
Booth files you can find it in this page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/android-nougat-dev-build-huawei-t3488360/page33"
To flash img. i used the file that i attached.
Good luck
so now i restored twrp , i put the update app in sd card and it doesn't want to flash , i'm still trapped in bootloop but i have access to twrp now what to do now ?
I found the old twrp is okey for downgrade,
Just put b161 update.app into sdcard/dload and press volume down + power key.
but flash badwolf's twrp will get stuck in fastboot, though It's not really bricked.
hi, maybe you also have a solution for my problem.
i installed a wrong update via sd card (dload etc.), now my phone is just black no signal nothing. and it seems like a fastboot loop always when i plug into the pc im in fastboot without doing anything
when i try to unlock the bootloader i get "failed command not allowed")
and also when i try to flash the extracted files from update.zip i get the same error ("failed command not allowed")
by the way i didnt active usb debuggin or oem unlocking
please help thank you

If your phone is VNS-L31C432, then try these methods:
1. In bootloader "fastboot boot TWRP_Recovery.img"
this should boot you into twrp without flashing it, from there flash B161_update.zip (which should be in your SD card).
(If that doesn't work, try "fastboot -c "lge.kcal=0|0|0|x" boot TWRP_Recovery.img"
haven't tried this on P9 Lite, but used to work on other phones).
2. If "fastboot flash recovery TWRP_Recovery.img" returns errors, but says bootloader unlocked, try to relock the bootloader and unlock it again.
"fastboot oem lock"
"fastboot oem unlock YOUR_CODE"
then try flashing recovery again.
Maybe also try flashing other recoveries, e.g. TWRP (which is for MM ROMs) or Revolution (which is for N ROMs) or even the stock boot.img.
3. Try the dload method wth B161 and maybe B160 - I know my P9 Lite would only accept B161 via dload, even though B370 and B360 and B130 are for the same model, those builds just wouldn't install this way.
4. Unpack B161 zip so you have update.app, extract from that boot.img, recovery.img and system.img.
Then do:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Some of these methods might work, some won't but from my two experiences of bricking the P9 Lite, one of the four fixed the issue.
If you don't know where to get the B161 zips, I can post them later.
Also, this is just to get your system to a working and bootable condition. If you want to get back to full-fledged MM, you will also need to install the hw_eu zip after the B161 zip (and maybe do a factory reset after that for the sake of it).
Your apps and files are already gone, so no way to save that. Hope your phone gets back to working order soon enough.

P9 Lite Android 7 c432 oeminfo zip file

Hello, i rooted my phone (L31C464B335) using this guide here. Now i want to install rollback then Android 6. But there is no rollblock for c464 available, i need to change oeminfo to c432. I tried flashing included in this , and SRK tool zip but i got error "invalid zip file format". Also one more thing, when i enter developer settings, settings app stops working.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B70jqOUVoiIDZlByeldHek9xUDg/view?usp=drivesdk
You need this file, flash it on TWRP and then you should roll back with a stock rom
@Jinclaudio
i flashed it, but now bootlader is locked, and i can't boot my phone. when i start huawei erecovery thing appears...
Excuse me for late. You need unlock the bootloader again, because flashing oeminfo will relock it

Serial Number

So my phone died and it was fixed somehow, bootloader is unlocked but OEM isn't so I'm failing to flash twrp and I can't root it, I can't do anything except flash the stock images from UPDATE.APP (extracted), the issue is that I can't get my bootloader unlock code from huawei because my serial number is now: 0123456789ABCDEF.
the original bootloader unlock code isn't working. can anybody help me? please. it's driving me nuts, oh and it's model number in hi6250

I have managed to fix p9 lite phone. This phone had damaged oeminfo. And bootloader partition was damaged too.
1. Flashed factory firmware
2. Rooted with one click root without bootloader unlock
3. Installed flashify
4. Flashed twrp through flashify.
5. Flashed missing oem info
6. Flashed stock firmware.
7. Factory reset.
8. Done
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-TL10 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

Nova CAN-L01, can't return to original CAN-L01c55B340 from B350 NRD90M test-keys

Hi there, I got a problem with mi Huawei Nova CAN-L01 Tim-Branded (italian)
I flashed with three buttons method a full EU firmware no-brand B350, so with "dload" folder I successfully updated both
Huawei Nova B350 CAN-L01 Nougat Update.zip
Huawei Nova B350 CAN-L01 Nougat update_data_full_CAN-L01_hw_eu.zip
at this point I faced the annoying "NRD90M test-keys" version problems (no themes applicable, no OTA, no EQ control etc etc)
then my goal was to turn back into my original stock-brandend firmware.
Thanks to "FirmwareFinder" I found both latest full OTA packages for CAN-L01C55B340. But while I try to flash the first (or anyone) of them, then suddendly update fails after 5%, with "system package error".
I also tried to flash it all in fastboot mode, so:
- unlocked bootloader
- extracted recovery.img + boot.img + system.img from first CAN-L01C55B340 and cust.img from second CAN-L01C55B340
- successfully flashed all with fastboot
- still having "NRD90M test-keys" version, still unable to manage and apply themes
at this point I also tried to re-flash stock firmware CAN-L01C55B340 with "dload" folder method, still having "update fail after 5% with package error".
I managed those solutions taking a look at the thread CAN-L01 "NRD90M test-keys" problem but I can't find a fix for my problem.
Would it be necessary taking some actions with TWRP? Or what?
Thank you all in advance for your suggestions!
Update: I finally ended up with dc unlocker solution.
Flashed through fastboot-mode both files of original B340 stock Tim-branded firmware.
Now my system is again with the right built number, without "NRD90M test-keys".
But I'm facing some problems beside
- I still can't perform a flash of both original B340 packages via "dload" method (again, after 5% shows me up "wrong package")
- In eRecovery mode I tryed to download and restore system via Wi-fi, also there I got error on package
- My Bootloader is unlocked, even if I try to relock with "fastboot oem relock MY_CODE_NUMBER", I got the device prompt asking me if I wanna relock and perform a factory reset, I proceed with "YES" but the device simply reboots without relocking with shell prompt error FAILED (remote: write oeminfo fblock stat info fail, error num:13)
