Hello all,
I'm getting tired with my new HTC Touch Dual (codename Nike). I use an UMTS operator where i've free internet traffic. When my first operator has no signal, my phone go on GSM roaming. Here, even if I've no applications opened, starts sometimes GPRS/EDGE connection that is not free for me, and also have a per-connection price.
I've already tried to disable AlwaysOn key into windows registry. Also I've tried to disable SuspendResume key in
HKLM-->Comm-->ConnMgr-->Planner-->Settings-->SuspendResume
deleted ~GPRS
All without success.
Actualy I'm running WM6,
ce 5.2.1622
build 18128.0.4.4
rom 1.31.408.09

Check that you don't have any program requiring an internet connection that is scheduled to be run every N minutes. Otherwise... I don't know. Maybe someone else will give other ideas.
Controlla di non avere programmi che richiedano una connessione a internet e che siano schedulati per l'esecuzione ogni N minuti. Altrimenti... non saprei. Forse qualcun altro ti darà altre idee.

Hi there, my Trinity has an issue that makes it so I cant watch videos online.
It connects using HSDPA and plays for a short while before dropping to 3g and killing the video. It does not then reconnect to HSDPA without getting the video to seek ahead or behind.
Has anyone had this issue or know of a way around it? Its really bugging me.

I just bought Omnia7 and I can't turn 3G off, because there is no such option. I read that it's possible to do in diagnosis. How to do it? I really need to turn it off...

The t-mobile.de rom lets you change 2g to 3g in settings. I wonder if its available anywhere?!

Well, open diagnosis and enter what I wrote in first post and you can switch easily :]
Sometimes my phone is on 2g when this setting is on automatic. If I change the setting to prefer 3g, it then immediatly picks up a 3g signal. Does anyone know why it doesn't just use the 3G automatically if it is available?

Thanks for the response. The problem I have is that the Xbox Live Extras app won't connect to Xbox Live over 2G, I just get an error message. Over 3g it's fine. Is this a known issue that happens for everyone? I guess I will have to leave it set to prefer 3g in diagnostics.

Yea, it happens to me too :] Well, I think it needs more data and etc. :]
When set to prefer 3G, will the phone still use 2G if there is no 3G signal at all?
There is a regedit on the main dev forums that allows to unlock the 3g to 2g toggle for the phones settings.
How can I enter in Open diagnosis mode?

Dude, when givin' sum info pls try to describe procedures as clearly as possible.
When ya dial da code, there are three options popin'up and a lotta numeric buttons plus "back" and "'end" So be so kind as to give a detailed step-by-step manual. In yr case ya should've at least pointed out that these steps do not display any additional toggle switch bw 2G/3G. Moreover at SR ya still got da finger

Open diagnosis by dialing in dialer ##634#
Then diagnosis app should be added to your app list, open it
In diagnosis dial *#2263#
You get to choose from 3G, 2G and Automatic. Near these options you have numbers 1, 2, 3. So choose one of them and press the key on the keyboard. Choose the connection (all) and press end. That's it

My Defy+ (Motodefy Plus) reboots when initially powered in 10 seconds after the proposition to create a motoblur account right after the moment the Mobile Data Connection is established. I have written a letter to motorola support 3 days ago, all in vain - I have no answer from them on this matter. There is a way to evade the described reboot - skipping the motoblur registration and disabling [Mobile Network Data] setting in [Data delivery] section of [Battery and data manager] settings helps to prevent automatic reboot cycle. Using Motorola's official site recommendations upon this cycle reboot issue, I have done factory wipe&reset and changed my simcard for a new one, I have tried sims from different operators and tried switching on [2G only] and [3G only] modes. None of this actions helped to cure the reboot cycle. BasebandSwitcher was ineffective as well. *#*#INFO#*#* with its selector did not help to solve the problem. I have made log files by CatLog market application, which point to the source of the problem - the MOTOBLUR raising a bp_panic event. I attach the logs to this post.
The firmware is the handtec stock ROM 134.DFP-84. The Baseband is stock EPU93_U_00.5F.00.
Does anyone have the same problem? I have searched the forum and found similar issues handled by basebandSwitcher, sim change and nordic firmware, but they do not work for me.
Any ideas?
I've got the same issue here with Defy+ . It started rebooting just after unboxed.
Enabling the Mobile Network Data will make almost instant reboot. But sometimes it reboots without having mobile data enabled. Have you sorted this out ? It is really annoying.
Did you skip motoblur registration? I am trying to figure out the pattern of the problem's appearance and origins.. With no success.

Mine started rebooting a few seconds after a very first boot. It restarted a couple of times in a row and than stayed fairly stable for a bit. Now I can't use mobile data at all, but it sometimes still reboots anyway. Safest option is the airplanemode :/ . Has motorola support replied to your mail ?
Yes, Motorola did reply to my email. Actually, the techsupport asked for my IMEI number in reply to the bug-report similar to the first post of this topic. This fact distressed me a little. I provided the IMEI and have not heard from Motorola since then..
You should consider contacting them as well, otherwise they will not treat the issue as a serial bug. As it appears to be.

The N5 SIM card was used by several network providers in Europe, and it causes the phone to reboot.
If the problem still persists, we are afraid that we would like you to contact the place of purchase as it might be a faulty phone, we do apologize for this inconvenience.

This is some kind of bull****, I bet they did not even bother to look upon the log-file. I have 4 defy+ at my disposal, three of them work well with all kinds of sims available to me. A disclaimer from Motorola, nothing more.
I offered a remote access to usb debugging via "USB over network" to them, but they seem to ignore this proposition.
I sent the RMA form to handtec, waiting for their decision. The preliminary is to replace the phone for a new one. I hoped to solve the problem quicker though. It was excessively self-confident, I suppose.
It is good to know that if your phone has established the mobile data connection even once and successfully transfered any amount of data through it then it is completely free of the discussed bug.
I've contacted motorola support as well, they advised me to check sim card and do the Factory reset which I'd already done before. To the question if they have encountered this issue they replied they haven't had any similar issues that are not linked to either the sim card or the SD card.
I am going to replace my phone.
Anyway is there any stock SBF for defy+ I can use to get to the original firmware as I've also tried some custom roms ? Thanks
Interesting. So, they did not encounter a similar bugreport from me. Tried to report this problem for the second time through the motorola.com support form, but received a reply from the same person (Abdullah) and the same text to check the sim with a "resolved" mark.

Well I suppose it is a hardware problem, but I've just tried different nandroid backup versions with motoblur included so far. So it still might be the motoblur or something software related deeper in the system.
After trying MIUI I can't boot up the phone at all that's why I wanted the stock SBF. A new phone is on the way so I just need to get it how it was and try a new one. I'll let you know if the replacement is working fine or not.
What is your serial number? Mine is M776QS6VFV. I wonder if they are from the same consignment. China TianJin, 2011 September.
Mine is M776QU2L4S. After flasing shadow_2.3.4-134_DFP-10 it worked much better than before, but it still reboots occasionally, but now it is able to establish data connection and download some data.
Anyway the replacement works fine. Software version is identical to the first one.

Phew, I'm glad I'm not alone , after flashing a custom rom straight away, the phone did reboots with 3G enabled, I was going nuts! I tried baseband changer, every ROM flashable. Currently running CEE SBF 2.3.5, 2G works but reboots from time to time. Eagerly waiting for a solution, will try new SIM, shutupbattery app (possibility of phone rebooting due to low signal). Hope we will find a solution soon!

I purchased Defy+ 20 days ago and really like the phone a lot except for the bizzare problem which many have pointed out. the phone reboots at random in middle of conversations or while accessing data through mobile network or while I'm present in area with extremely low network signal.
I suppose these problems are not specific to motorola products only. I've heard many other products to have such or similar problems.
I'm trying out a new SIM card from a different provider, as recommended by few members in other threads. I hope it'd work out.

Same problem here, as soon as I activate 3G or enable data transfers, my Defy+ reboots. To use it I must be quick enough to disable data et go back to 2G.
This problems happens with or without Motoblur account and I tried to exchange the sim card of a working Xperia, the Defy+ reboots, the Xperia went on good surf!
I also tried to update the android system (from 2.3.4 to 2.3.6), it does not solve anything.
Another test with a SIM card from another service provider (Orange) show me the Defy surfing on the Web with the 3G or H symbol (in blue like for the wifi) and without rebooting. It looks like a frequency band swithching problem because my service provider (Free) does not use the same frequencies for UMTS or 2.5G.
As this problem seems to be ignored by Motorola, I will ask for my money back and buy something else. But on the paper, the Defy+ is a great smartphone.

Hi I am new to the community, and I just bought a zeblaze thor 4, its really cool, but I was messing with dev option so make the image smaller so I can reach some corners of some apps to reach some options I cant.
So there was a option that is something like simulate screen, and I hit some stupid option so now the visible screen y not working anymore because its supposed to be a bigger simulating screen that doesn't aloud me to use the screen anymore.
I been searching for a solution all day, but it seems like there is almost nothing out there (google search) about this watch.
I ve tried somethings but with no success like:
1-Try to screen cast my watch into my lap using mobizen, but It fails because I couldnt reach the accept button in the watch
2-Cant do any solutions involving adb because i cant enable usb debug because of the same screen problem (unless theres a way to enable directly from a laptop)
3-Team viewer quick support because the watch its not fully compatible with the screen share
4-Reset the watch, but it restarts with the same setting on.
So I f any one can tell me how to reset dev option or how to factory reset this watch without usin the screen, or how to enter recovery mode in this watch or any other solution I wiill really appreciate it!!! Thanks.

I inserted the SIM card into an unlocked Android phone and edited the APN settings in the phone and it worked just fine.
What should I do to get the 3G and 4G Data working on the Zeblaze Thor 4 smartwatch? Thanks much for your help!
Olá, comprei um Zeblaze Thor 4. Estou carregando a bateria do celular mas ele não liga mais. Aparece apenas a tela com as opções "Restart", "reboot" , e mesmo apertando estas opções, ele apenas liga a tela com o logo da Zeblaze e depois não liga a tela. Mesmo apertando o botão power só aparece as opções que citei acima. Como proceder isso? E há como fazer o start reset?

That's a different watch from Finow.
The Zeblaze Thor 4 has B2 and it can be seen in engineering mode.
Having said that - doesn't mean it will work.......

I use my Thor 4 on 4G no issue T-moblie, To change the screen size on the fly hold the power button down and a menu will appear, click the circle on the top, It will turn to a square and so will your display. Click it again to make it round again.

Camoway., I've tried everything. Can you please confirm your settings here? I've even added a dupe APN for 4G non-LTE and the watch will not let me select it (or anything else save the "fast.t-mobile.com") (when I try to select the APN, it takes me to the editor).
