Battery type - Huawei Nova/Nova Plus Questions & Answers

Hello,
What is really our type of battery?
On the website of Huawei Nowa says lithium polymer.
In test - Li-ion.

Easy as 1-2-3!

Hello, I'm not asking what's writen to wikipedia.org. I can use google.com as 1-2-3.
Тhanks anyway....
I understand that we have to Li-ion.
Best regards.

Li-po and Li-ion is the same thing ^^
Li-po means Lithium-polymer and Li-ion means Lithium-ion but it's real complete name should be named Lithium-ion Polymer.

Hello,
For battery technology is clear. The question was simple - who is the type of battery in Nova (Ion or Polymer)?
Аlso - that all Nova have the same batteries?
Best regards.

As said, this is the same .
lion = polymer.
this is the same thing.

If you say ...
"The original kind of cell named "lithium polymer" has technologically evolved from lithium-ion and lithium-metal batteries. The primary difference is that instead of using a lithium-salt electrolyte (such as LiPF6) held in an organic solvent (such as EC/DMC/DEC), the battery uses a solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) such as poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), poly(acrylonitrile) (PAN), poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) or poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF).[2] "

Prophet/Trinity battery?

Hi there,
just a short question for those who own/owned a Trinity and Prophet.
Is the battery the same?
I have a dead Prophet, and considering buying the Trinity.
I would be good if they have the same battery.

Just read the specs:
The Prophet has a 1200 mAh battery...
The Trinity has a 1500 mAh battery...
Doesn't sound like they are the same
@phoenix
no, not the same battery. these two batteries haven't still the same formfactor.
web
Hi Xenov,
thanks for the very informative information.
Now i know that AAA 1000 mAh and AAA 1300 mAh are not the same batteries...
Thus, they can both fit in my little walkman.....
Hi webhood
Too bad they don't have the same form factor, i could the battery from my dead Prophet as a spare part
Thanks for the info

You're welcome...
The phone industry batteries are a different piece of cake compared to standard sized batteries for walkmen. Phone batteries have to be as small as possible and mAh means cubical centimeters.
Thus a higher battery capacity results in a bigger battery, thought you'd know that, sorry

Replaced Li-Ion Battery with Li-Pol

Hi, My old Li-Ion battery was starting to losing its charge very fast, so I decided to buy a new battery. I replaced it with a Lithium Polymer battery. Seems to work fine, but....
In the Power settings, it still identifies the battery as a Li-Ion one. How do I tell it that it's now a Li-Pol battery? I tried to search and search, but couldn't find anything.
TIA
Read where is says LiPo on the battery itself.

Not quite sure what you are trying to get at. Do you mean that a Lithium Polymer battery is actually a Lithium Ion Polymer battery? The battery actually only says Li-POL and nothing else.
Does that mean it always says Li-Ion, even if it's a Lithium Ion Polymer battery?

"Alien Battery"

I just sourced a non-SonyEricsson battery for my phone.
It powers the phone fine but when the phone is plugged in for power charging I get an error message saying that the battery in the phone is "Alien" therefore it will not be charged.
I have to charge the battery through a separate charging box
I suppose there is no software fix for this ?
got this when i was using a k610i battery with my xperia but if i recall i restarted the phone and it started working but otherwise i dont know
why would you use a non-SE battery??
Is this it?

lool!!! How amusing
Bought the non-SE battery as it was good value, and slightly more mAh capacity.

I Just ordered a Mugen batteries, i hope i wont have the same issue.
can you post the information about your batterie?
Here is the battery.
No brand, it is made in Japan.

i bought three of them when i first got my xperia.
they were all complete crap.
They never gave accurate battery readings and their life time was very very short and at the end of it left my xperia not being able to turn on - now all 3 of them are so discharged i cant even be bothered to charge them - trust me dont rely on these batteries they are awful

Ever heard Made in Japan "Copy".
hehe.
well just be careful guys with the alien battery. most MADE IN CHINA batteries don't have promissed mAh at all. especialy when cheap. we have a meassuring device in work and evev the 3000something mAh isn't 3000 but just 2500. second, the cheap batteries don't have short circuit protection chip.. so just be careful. mugen may be good, but the 3000mAh they offer isn't simply 3000

All about Batteries

As we know our Z3 has a Lithium-Ion energy supply. There is a really nice site about charging Lithium-ion batteries, chargers and a lot more.
And I want to share this wonderful site with you here on xda: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries
so like is it ok to keep the mobile charging overnight???
Yes it is, and has always been with lithium ion. Draining your battery makes the life span even shorter

Li-ion does not need to be fully charged, as is the case with lead acid, nor is it desirable to do so. In fact, it is better not to fully charge, because high voltages stresses the battery. Choosing a lower voltage threshold, or eliminating the saturation charge altogether, prolongs battery life but this reduces the runtime.

After reading this there should be a little damage because the stress we cause with the full charge. But I guess the damage isn't as big in our case.
Well batteries have a regulation circuit to prevent that and some phones automatically discharge a little automatically after reaching max charge. Don't have to worry to much about that these days.
A good point for Li-ion batteries. Good thing to know.

How is the battery degradation?

Hi, I'm currently using Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for almost 4 years and planning to replace it with LG G6 when LG announced the G7. My concern is the non removable battery of G6, because I usually keep my phone for more than 3 years.
How the battery hold up? Is smart charging technology really work?
Thanks before
Well, just under a year for me and I haven't noticed my battery getting any worse, so that's good. Although it starts to age rapidly at the two year point.
Well, I have my phone for almost a year. I use Greenify and JuiceDefender and I have installed a custom rom: Fulmics Rom. I have no complaints about my phone or battery. It's a nice phone and the battery is healthy aswell.
The G6 has a Li-poly battery, so is not supposed to degrade so badly over time as Li-ion. Real world results will vary by user but we'd probably have heard by now if there were any big issues.

liPo's use a gel electrolyte so the batteries can potentially be more conforming, or placed in a flexible packet vs encased in a hard box. But both are the same Li-Ion Tech.
