I am trying to write some code in vb.net for smart Apps...
the project is very small i am trying to access the PHONE Settings of my Qtek S200 and make an application that the user hits a button that search the network of GSM... The reason i am developing this app is because
when the S200 loses the network signal it will find it again in 15 -20 minutes
but if i go to settings > phone > network > and hit the find network button everything is ok the network is back...
so i am trying to make a project that searches the network
is there any vb.net examples to do something like that ??
Found this over in SDX while doing research on a co-workers phone, and thought you guys would appreciate it.
Oh and there is a great app on the market for reading you MSL code called "MSL Reader."
Good Luck.

You would have to edit your PRL. Since I do not actually have this phone, and was just doing research for a friend on rooting and such I am not entirely sure how that would work on this phone. I have an EVO and have found sites that tell you how to edit your PRL for the EVO to force your phone onto Verizon Towers without roaming charges, but I'm not sure if that would help you.
This is for the EVO not the intercept, but maybe you can find a workaround for your phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696073
any word on how to do a Virgin OTA activation (normal mode is enter menu ##VIRGIN# then select option through menu items). However, this must initiate a dialer code somehow, normally of the form *228 (for verizon for example)
Reprogram phone codes
Most important, if you lose 3G Data or Need to reactivate phone:
##847446#
You need to know your original MDN and MSID.
Home -> Menu -> Settings -> About phone -> Status
Write down your MSID and MDN (your phone number).
Use ##847446# in dialer to edit MSID and MDN to 1111111111 ( both values).
and then phone reboots.
Use ##847446# in dialer to edit MSID and MDN to original values that you wrote down
and then phone reboots.
Couldn't find this so thought I'd post for others as it could be of use.
I wanted to download over 3G/4G as have unlimited connection, but restricted to 20mb.
Do the following...
3845#*855# > WCDMA-Only > DM/FOTA Test > DMClient Test > Settings flex > Wi-Fi limited package size
Just a heads up to anyone who reads this: Change "855" to your model number. This is how you enter the G3's secret menu, but it will only work if you enter your individual model number. For instance, I have the D851 (T-Mobile), so I would place 851 instead of 855.
I'm trying to view the network settings on my Zenfone, but the network info dialer code isn't working; if you dial *#*#4636#*#* the dial pad disappears. When it is opened again it is blank. Does anyone know how to open this menu?
Hello!!!
The secret codes in Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is:
*#06* = IMEI NUMBER
*#*#4636#*#* = System info
*#*#8255#*#* = Google Talk Service Menu
*#*#225#*#* = Calendar Secret Menu
*#*#7378423#*#* = Unlock Secret Menu
HOME > BACK > HOME > BACK > BACK > HOME > BACK > HOME > HOME > BACK = Secret Service Info
