First of all, thanks for looking at this question.
I am running Android 6.0 (Fake nexus ROM) for a week, and I like it! The problem: In the multirom app I cant select an custom Android 6.0 kernel. Anyone knows a solution? Can I use every kernel that support Android 6?
As far as I know it is not possible for now. We have to get something to Kernel related but I am not developer, so I do not know exactly what, hehe.
Flash AK kernel for aosp it has kexec support but multirom will only boot straight to twrp this can only be fixed my flashing stock image i tried
Hi guys,
I've searched but have not found a satisfying answer yet. Coming from Kitkat and Lollipop without the need for Magisk.
Why would one use SuperSU AND Magisk? I mean, sure Magisk is to achieve a "systemless" root, but would not the use of SuperSU give you by definition system-based root?
Also, does it matter which kernel you use?
Stock with SuperSU, need for Magisk?
Modded kernel (eg: SuperStock for Exynos), still need Magisk?
Does SE enforcing vs permissive have any bearing on the above?
Thanks guys.
So after some reading, it seems that with Google's November security update, systemless root is required, and hence Magisk must be installed.
Is this true for modded kernels as well?
Also, why would Xposed framework require Magisk? Isn't root, root? Systemless or not.
Hey guys, anyone been able to get Magisk work on our device? I want to pass CTS, but not sure if its because I'm on a custom rom, or if I haven't installed Magisk Correctly
Since the 7.0 Nougat update has finally been released and installed on my Pure, I'm itching to root it but stay with stock nougat.
My question is ... Do I use the same method developed for 6.0 mm root? Specifically this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/help/rooting-stock-xt1575-marshmallow-6-0-t3353812
Thanks for your help?
No use Magisk. https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 its prebuilt systemless. And will pass safety net. Unless you go xposed where it will fail. I would stay on version 14.0.
Thanks
I have sent a pm to the maker of the rom some weeks ago and unfortunately I had no answer .
I need someone to compile the rom without being prerooted because it is causing me problems with some apps "due to root existance the app cannot start" .
I would like to do it myself but there is no knowledge of compiling roms and my pc is old.
I have already tried to unroot ,actually now it is supposed to be unrooted but the rom itself is rooted somehow, with spacelemon non root kernel and magisk hide but no luck with that either.
Is it possible for someone to unroot the rom?
