When is CM 6 due out?
I thought it was due out on the weekend just gone
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com
i know the Alpha is out. When is the full build due out.
i dont want to sign up to another forum
If there's one thing that seems to piss off CM is when people ask for ETA's
The only thing that was said about the weekend that there would be alpha which appeared a day before.
In any case I wouldn't expect anything until at least next weekend.
When its ready.
That's the official response

Another month now because someone made this thread.
Just install the alpha already - it is amazingly stable. It's better than ANY other os I have ever used on my N1.

There is nothing special about why this nightly took so long to come out other than the fact that kernel.org was hacked and the android repositories were inaccessible until now.
I am waiting long time.
Good.

Thats the I9100G not I9100, both are totally different units HW wise.
did see that pic and it's looking nice on s2..we will have to see what he cooks up for the i9100...I've heard there is much to do to get it stable ie audio and other important things...it will get there, but it will take time ..
If I'm not mistaken though, codeworkx had a hand in the CM9 port to the I9100 as well, so I wouldn't be overly shocked if he has something to show for it as well. Either way, it comes when it comes. Until then, back to trying out new kernels!

That's exactly it. If I reaaally want to, I could go for a five minute drive and pick up a Galaxy Nexus in a few hours, but the issue is my contract still has until June 2013, so I may as well see it out. After that, my I9100 will probably sit in a draw unused. I've already ordered my Nexus 7 though, so that won't be too much longer. Finally, once my contract is up, hopefully it'll only be a few months before another Nexus phone is announced (assuming they do one roughly every year).
screamworks
I expect it will come by 2014.
Im buying a nexus device next.. I'm done waiting for the upgrade to come out..
I appreciate all the work done by CM team but they never seem to get everything working.. been running CM9 for 7months now on SGS2 and we are still using dirty hacks and workarounds to get stuff working (never works like it should, ie autobrightness, tvout)..
I'm not blaming the devs.. its all Samsung's fault and my fault for not buying a nexus device.. I actually wanna thank all the devs for doing all the work with ICS but if that is any indications of the timeframe.. I don't think CM10 will have everything working any time soon.. but I'm secretly hoping since CM is the only hope at this point..

Hey is the Galaxy nexus the same price in your country or in any other country than sweden? Because in Sweden its almost £80 (In british pounds) more than the S2
So what is the take on guys? As we heard both groups announced that they will be making there way to OPO by March 30th or before. Are you gonna grab CM12s or the OxygenOS of OPPO?
Let the wagon begin!
Nobody's ever seen anything but fake screenshots of OxygenOS, so asking at this point is pretty meaningless.

Correct we don't know what's the way OxygenOS looks like and probably why people bought the OPO is for its CM OS. Hence I will stick to CM12S (hopefully its 5.1 version)
if cm12s is 5.1 than that will be the best treatment tbh
It's like asking: will you buy One plus 2 or galaxy s7?

There's kind of already a thread for this here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3038227
I'd choose OxygenOS over CM12S at the moment though, but I'd choose a custom ROM over either of them.
Transmitted via Bacon
It looks like that both of them will be released in this month...
I heard oxygen os removed privacy guard, if so I would stick with 12s
I think OxygenOS will not get updates often, so that's no go for me.
Printet on OnePlus One @ 5.0.2
I'll stick with 05q until i read reviews confirming they're good unbuggy software. then i'll probably flash a custom rom!! haha.

Nobody only me ? But it's based on the bad service from oneplus one. So if a bug is in OxygenOS they don't care, like they do whit other things. Or if they care it will take for ever to fix it.
But again, only my opinion ?

I've got nothing but respect for CM, but at this point I believe that a AOSP Rom designed exclusively to run on the OPO with all the required drivers and software specially for it will run smoother IMHO.
But I will definitely give CM12S a try.
Personally ill also give both a try. Then Ill decide what i wanna run...ive been a CM fan for a long time since the captivate, but we shall see how Oxygen is.
Given the CM12 nightlies are quite buggy yet, I'm quite skeptical either of the lollipop flavors for OPO will be solid.
At least with CM11, they were ahead of CM11S in stability and fixes, so I'll probably also switch from CM11 to CM12 nightlies once they're more or less bug free.
I'll also try both, best thing about the ETAs is Oxygen OS will be out first so I'll get a few days on it before official CM12S is out. I'll judge both after using but CM12 has been awesome so far, really stable for the past couple weeks and getting better every day

It's been quiet so far, with the exception of a couple stock ROMs. I guess there is a delay from stock images to AOSP images, which most ROM's are based.

At least you were able to cancel and get something quick. I got the 32gb Alum and I always planned on getting the Alum version. The black is too scratch prone for my liking and the white, well white is boring since every phone manufacture does it.
I'm "happy" with the 6p, but going from the ultra snappy Nexus 6 to this, pretty snappy device is a bit of an adjustment. The size difference isn't a big issue, but the overall feel is quite different in the 6p. That, and the fact I can't use my plethora of micro USB chargers floating around my house.
I'm curious to see where the next Nexus goes in terms of build, I'm hoping for glass personally.

Well I knew @DespairFactor and @flar2 were working on kernels, and I knew you were working on a ROM, so I was curious who else was out there. I miss the days of Carbon on the Nexus 5, not sure why the Nexus 6 wasn't really supported.
Overall, I think Chroma, Cataclysm and Carbon were the most stable of the ROM's out there. Not sure why they all started with "C", though.

Well, to be fair, a custom kernel is often a piece of the custom ROM, so it makes sense to think about kernel developers who support ROM development. I ran Chroma as my daily on N6, so looking forward to seeing Chroma on the 6P once everything is up and running.
Speaking of kernel developers, I believe Franco also got a N6P.
Just got my 6p and had a look at the ROM development section... There's not much out there in terms of custom roms yet so is it worth trying a custom rom at this stage or stick with stock?
Also, does wugfresh work for 6p for rooting?

It's a Conspiracy .. I used to use Carbon myself, the one thing I really enjoyed about Carbon was the fact that the changelog was super friendly to users. I try my best to do the same with my ROM.

That depends, some ROMs (incl. mines on N4/N5) ship with stock Google kernel. For the N6, it used Franco at first and then HellsCore.
I'll probably stick to Google kernel for the time being with some minor tweaks (KCAL, vibration control and maybe some other things).
