S7 Edge 935FD TMO - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Just bought 935FD for my wife. Since it uses nano sim I was able to test with my Cricket(ATT) sim and no LTE. Read up on some issues and thread. Anyway, my wife uses TMO.
First Question might be for TMO customers. What's the best way to switch phones when it uses different sim size? From Mega 6.3 to S7 edge nano? Already ordered TMO nano sim starter kit.
Second, Will she gets TMO LTE on new 935FD model?

US Galaxy Tab - is it usable outside of US?

Hi,
I am in US this week, and found out that a non-contract Galaxy Tab cost only $599 (sprint and verizon).
While I understand that most phones in US are sold as locked, I am not sure about Galaxy Tab. I asked the best buy staff, he told me if I don't buy it with a contract, it'll be a WIFI-only tab (so I thought it's a locked) but he went further to say because Galaxy Tab has no sim slot.
Is it true? If not, (as I thought Galaxy Tab will have a sim slot) does a international sim card work on the US-based Galaxy Tab?
I suspect it's essentially a locked tab (that couldn't accept other sim card except the respective telco one even with a sim slot), otherwise, $599 is really cheap. but I need confirmation.

The Sprint and Verizon Tabs have no SIM slot as they are CDMA devices. The T-Mobile and AT&T Tabs do, they are GSM/UMTS (though on different bands)
Both will work in on GSM/HSPA/UMTS networks though neither has voice capability built in.
You can flash international firmware to add this to the AT&T version with little effort, and it will be a full quad band for voice and EDGE data. T-Mobile is more problematic to flash.
All are SIM locked, but unlocking them is really quite trivial.
Best bet is to buy the AT&T version for $650.

ok, so it looks like AT&T is a safer bet indeed. California tax is a killer, end up I would only save $100 plus.

F/FD, Actual hardware differences between dual sim and standard?

Hey everyone.
Since Samsung's decision to unify all the devices sold to vendors into one unique device spread to all providers in the USA (the Snapdragon version) isn't it possible they did the same with the Exynos version and just changed the tray for the dual sim models, the hardware being in fact the same for both? (dual modem, dual sim reader, etc)
It would be nice if someone tried to fit a dual sim tray into a single sim S7/S7E. I've heard there are some S7e phones in the wild that do not have the DUOS name written on the back but are in fact the FD model.
Thoughts?
I'm in middleeast and yesterday i went to samsung store to buy one and store guy offered me the s7 edge 935f but as he said i can use either with two sims or one sim with memory I'm confused so i didn't buy it
Im not sure its the snapdragon or exynos
I think they only sell the Exynos outside of the USA

It would be very interesting.
dual sim tray into a single sim S7/S7E
I have the s7 edge single sim G935F but want the dual sim capability and wondered about whether it was just the tray, so i purchased a dual sim tray using just the one sim, i thought if i put it in the second slim slot it would still register but it didnt, so now i am considering trying to install the G935FD dual sim firmware. i have found threads where folks have done it the other way around, dont understand why but cant seem to find anyone that has tried changing from single to dual.
It will not work...
The G935FD has two IMEIs, one for each SIM slot. Even if you got a G935F to recognize both SIMs, the second SIM slot wouldn't have an IMEI, and you wouldn't be able to register it. There's no difference in G935F firmware and G935FD firmware at all. Its a matter of low level software and processes that recognize the SIM and assign the IMEI.

Can I activate a dual sim functionality in Galaxy S7 edge sold by any UK's providers?

Hi guys,
Can I activate a dual sim functionality in Galaxy S7 edge sold by any UK's providers?
Three, O2 etc say I can't use S7 edge as a dual sim phone.
Is there any workout for this? I need a dual sim phone, but dont want to get S7 edge dual sim off ebay because my upgrade is in a few days......
Thanks
On everything i have already searched and seen on this subject, no you can't
Have you actually tried to put 2 sim cards in s7 edge at any shop selling mobiles in the UK, or you just read, please?
I asked the same thing. 2 reasons why you can't
1) the sim / sd card holder doesn't have this shape to add the 2nd sim. So you'd need to change / mod that
2) whilst the 2nd sim circuits and connectors are in the phone there is no 2nd IMEI assigned to it
Adding an IMEI would be illegal under UK law..

S8 Active on VZW possible?

I like the Galaxy but not a fan of small batteries and many of my friends have cracked edge screens on theirs. So I would be more interested in the S8 Active model. Verizon has superior coverage where I live but do not offer this model. Is it possible for me to just buy an unlocked S8 Active and stick my Verizon SIM into it and it will work on the VZ network? If so, where would be the best place to buy it?

Does the SM-G935F work with Verizon?

I just bought an S7 Edge from a coworker who said she used it on Verizon but my current SIM card is too big for the slot in this S 7 Edge model (SM-G935F)
Does this work with Verizon?

for the sim card size, most cell shops have cutters so you can stamp out the micro from a mini, but its risky. Just get a micro from whatever cell provider you end up using with it, but know that you can only use GSM providers (T-Mob or AT&T) the F variants dont have CDMA radios in them due to the heat issues caused by the Exynos processor. Technically speaking, you could use the VZW sim card for strictly data, but its murky as the LTE bands available for the F model might not be compatible in the area youre in.
Good phone tho, you can root it. The S7s have actually held up pretty well IMO
