S8 Active on VZW possible? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I like the Galaxy but not a fan of small batteries and many of my friends have cracked edge screens on theirs. So I would be more interested in the S8 Active model. Verizon has superior coverage where I live but do not offer this model. Is it possible for me to just buy an unlocked S8 Active and stick my Verizon SIM into it and it will work on the VZ network? If so, where would be the best place to buy it?

[Q] Your opinion of GSM Nation?

Hi,
I am on AT&T using a T-Mobile S5 because it's a better device to run RoMs on. Someone suggested GSM nation as a place to purchase a Galaxy S6 unlocked. I am looking for folks who have tried that, and am curious how the experience went for them. It would seem that they sold the 9000M version of the S5.
Was it updated faster then Carrier versions?
Was it limited at all by not have Carrier bloat?
How was your warrantee experience, if you had to use it?
Any other thoughts?
I suppose I can buy an S6 outright from T-Mobile and just put my Sim in it, but I thought I would explore all my options.
Thanks!

Anything different about the Samsung S7 edge for for Verizon vs other S7 Edges?

I see a lot of these phones on ebay - some mention Verizon, many do not. I'm wondering if they are all fully functional with Verizon or if there are special models.
exynos and sd820
I'm sorry - I don't understand your response. I've been out of the phone market for a long time. Can I buy a Samsung Edge that has the ATT box and use it on Verizon? Same with a Sprint or Rogers? I know that Verizon and Sprint used a different CDMA frequency for half their transmissions before.
Do ATT 7 Edges work on Verizon? Do they have all of the CDMA band and HD audio and LTE on Verizon?

S7 Edge Retail model no cell bands?

Hello all, does anyone know about the retail demo models of the S7 Edge? I am selling a apple watch on craigslist and someone offered me a S7 edge with no cell bands..
Here is his email.. "I have a Samsung galaxy s7 edge gold retail X model. It works fine the only thing is it won't work as a phone no cell bands in the phone. So basically a android tablet in phone form. "
it's stuck in retail mode
Just wondering if that is legit and is there a way to get it to work as a phone with a normal sim card>? Or is this person pulling my leg
Thanks
As far as i know , Retail Mode Phones don't have a valid IEMI and you can't use SIM card with it, it even have a different model number than the regular model.
However you can do a more search for it to make sure that it can/can't work.

Sim-free Galaxy S8 (SM-G950UZKAXAA) vs AT&T Galaxy S8 (SM-G950UZKAATT)

Im on the AT&T network and I'm looking to buy an S8. The samsung website has two choices that would work: the Sim-free Galaxy S8 (SM-G950UZKAXAA) and the AT&T Galaxy S8 (SM-G950UZKAATT). The sim-free model appeals to me because I wouldn't have carrier bloat and I could take the phone to another carrier if I wanted to. However, I've seen some comments that the sim free model gets updates well after the carrier models do and that the sim-free model has weaker reception and you lose out on certain features (volte, wifi-calling, etc.). Could anyone comment on these differences? Thanks

The unlocked one allows you to switch carriers whenever and will get updates faster, the ATT one is a locked one and gets slower updates. ALWAYS buy the Unlocked one, and if you want the ATT one, you can just change the firmware to be that variants.

Galaxy S8 Active for Sprint - (SM-G892UZAASPR) - Will it work on Verizon?

This is available for purchase directly from Samsung or Sprint, can it be used on verizon?
Anyone have a list of bands SM-G892UZAASPR supports? I assume this one supports CDMA bands.
Thanks,
Jon
Hey everyone I am new to this can I have the opportunity to get a Samsung Galaxy S8 active from Sprint that will be unlocked will this work with Verizon Networks. I am using an unlocked globally Samsung Galaxy S5 with the old unlimited plan with foxfi for my internet for everything else which I know I will not be able to use with the S8 S8 Plus or S8 active... But will a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8 active work on Verizon as long as it is Sim unlocked?
