I just bought an S7 Edge from a coworker who said she used it on Verizon but my current SIM card is too big for the slot in this S 7 Edge model (SM-G935F)
Does this work with Verizon?

for the sim card size, most cell shops have cutters so you can stamp out the micro from a mini, but its risky. Just get a micro from whatever cell provider you end up using with it, but know that you can only use GSM providers (T-Mob or AT&T) the F variants dont have CDMA radios in them due to the heat issues caused by the Exynos processor. Technically speaking, you could use the VZW sim card for strictly data, but its murky as the LTE bands available for the F model might not be compatible in the area youre in.
Good phone tho, you can root it. The S7s have actually held up pretty well IMO

Can an international Galaxy Note 3 (model SM-N9005) work with Verizon?
From what heard.. I would have to get a replacement SIM card from VZW and use it on the SM-N9005's first boot
Cuz,
You will always have to get the sim from the providing service carrier unless you are willing to pay long distance charges!
You can get a Verizon sim for an ATT network, you may occasionally use a competitors tower but the service COMES FROM the sim!

SM-G935FD is the Hybrid Dual Sim Model.
In Europe we will only see SM-G935F which is NOT a hybrid dual sim.
I hope i am wrong but...

I don't think. I call Samsung UK and they said that they not planning to release dual sim in UK.

you are wrong. All S7 are Hybrid dual sim. If you asked if the S7 was Dual Sim, then no it's not, it's HYBRID Dual Sim.

I am not wrong. My statement was very clear.
Hybrid dual sim is not supported with the UK/EUROPE model SM-G935F.
You may call the sim tray "Hybrid" or whatever, but it will only accommodate your single microSim and your microsSD card.

Calm down... no need to shout or being rude;
Go here - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/galaxy-s/galaxy-s7/hardware/ and read the MicroSD information. No dual sim functionality/Dual SIM card - thus no "Hybird dual sim" as i stated on my original comment.
Now, go to http://www.samsung.com/cn/consumer/mobile-phones/smart-phone/galaxy-s/galaxy-s7/hardware/ and read the same paragraph. Dual SIM card is supported.

To me it will be possible to get a "hybrid" sm-G935FD from Russia, India, United Arab Emirates, China, indonesia. ....
Just check the local Samsung web pages:
samsung.com/ae/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/galaxy-s/galaxy-s7/hardware/
and change the country after samnsung.com/
ae is for United Arab Emirates/in for india/cn for China/ru for Russia ......
You will see on those pages the possibility of dual sim.
If you check the french page (fr) or japanese (jp) there is no dual sim option
I am looking for a S7 edge dual sim 64gb and it's going to be difficult to find ....
Just pre ordered dual sim from UAE, and yes i contacted axiom and they said its dual sim model g935F
Price is way better than Europe too
Axiomtelecom dot com uae not ksa for selecting the region

Nice catch kloodee;
Do you know what 4G bands the UAE model supports?
No idea but for me im on three network on the UK and based on a previous purchase 4G worked fine
Its intersting to know that in the UAE its a snapdragon processor with dual sim standby
For me i need two sims and sd, i might attempt doing the sd/sim hack to take full advantage of the phone
For shipping from UAE i paid around 35£ to ship 2 phones with super fast delivery after march 11
Good luck and i hope this helps !

I will buy this phone, no need for extra storage, 32 for me is a plenty,
Must have 2 lines, how sure are you it will have dual phone capabilities? That's all I'm interested in knowing, and do you by any chance know the model number to look for?
Thanks

T-MOBILE S7 Edge works on Verizon, ATT with unlocked Sim card! I also have LTE on All 3 Networks.
First question is how did you get your phone unlocked? I thought tmobile made you wait 45 days before they would unlock the phone

A lot of times if the phone is paid off, it'll unlock as long as it meets 1 requirement.
Sweet Verizon is super fast and coverage is virtually anywhere.

Verizon uses a lte sim card for data only. There will not be(shouldnt be anyway) any call support because the 935t does not have cdma, unless verizon is using different bands on newer devices like tmobile(band 12 - 700a)

I have a unlocked s7 edge from t mobile. I wanted to use it on sprint. But to be honest I can seem to get it to register. Plus my micro sim needs to be cut to nano sim. If i cut my sim card will i be able to use sprint service?

No. You would need a new SIM card from Sprint.
Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
Sprint links the SIM card to the IMEI of the phone. Unlike [unlocked] GSM phones, you can't just swap SIM cards and go. You would have to get Sprint to unlock the phone first, which they'll only do once you've paid it off.

Sprint doesn't allow you to bring devices from other carriers. And the sim card is married to the meid of the phone which the tmobile version only has an imei .
Recently bought an S7 Edge, G935F. Lots of stuff on here about rooting/flashing custom ROMs, and I successfully did but am now under the impression it won't work on the Verizon network due to different basebands, something or other. Someone in another thread mentioned that it *will* work with a nano SIM card but Verizon's online checker thing says it won't work on their network for whatever reason.
Can anyone confirm it would? Or .. wouldn't? Again, G935F.
Also, are there any other S7 Edge (or newer Galaxy models) otherwise that have an unlockable bootloader that WILL work on Verizon?
Kudos in advance!
The "V" variant is Verizon Wireless one. These ones are GSM. I think LTE is interoperable, but lower standards are different.

Yes, but don't quote me on it. I think you can't just pop a sim card in and have service, you would need to call VW and have it attached to your account. And if the system doesn't like your ESN, you're SOL.[emoji2373]

No, if you want to have custom ROM, switch to GSM provider (T-mobile, AT&T wireless...)

Verizon wireless is a CDMA carrier. CDMA carriers require CDMA specific devices and the only Galaxy devices made CDMA are for the American market (all bootloader locked). If I were you I'd switch to T-Mobile or At&t (both GSM carriers i.e. fully compatible with international unlockable variants).

Yeah, I've gathered that there's really only a handful of Verizon variants with unlockable bootloaders. Currently looking for a new Verizon variant I can flash a custom ROM on. Google Pixel models look decent, but I'm going to look around a bit more.
