T-MOBILE S7 Edge works on Verizon, ATT with unlocked Sim card! I also have LTE on All 3 Networks.
First question is how did you get your phone unlocked? I thought tmobile made you wait 45 days before they would unlock the phone

A lot of times if the phone is paid off, it'll unlock as long as it meets 1 requirement.
Sweet Verizon is super fast and coverage is virtually anywhere.

I am able to make calls. I'm not sure because I use dialpad for all of my calls.

Verizon uses a lte sim card for data only. There will not be(shouldnt be anyway) any call support because the 935t does not have cdma, unless verizon is using different bands on newer devices like tmobile(band 12 - 700a)

I get my wife a used S4 today that was previously on the Sprint network. We are on ATT and i planned on rooting the phone any ways. What all do i need to change to get rid of the sprint phone number that is on the phone, and what do i need to flash to make it work with the att network?

I'm sorry to have to disagree with this but I own a blackberry 9630 world phone from sprint and the sim slot works both with at&t as well as tmo. I understand ad long as contract is fulfilled and any etf's are paid Sprint will unlock sim slot and it will work with any carrier, gsm and CDMA alike. Try using an Att/T-Mobile sim on an s4. It will be blocked even if the phone has been unlocked. Previous phones from sprint did not block USA native gsm but as of lately they do.
My good ol htc touch pro was a lucky one to work on USA gsm as of course your old black Berry.
You get it now? Its an accepted fact sprint has been going out of their way to block USA native gsm access on their latest phones. Perhaps some new ones aren't but the s4 is unless a work around is done but it doesn't work for everyone.

This isn't entirely true. I unlocked my Sprint HTC One to run on aio wireless which is on the ATT network. I haven't unlocked my Galaxy S4 but I intend on giving it a shot.
Call sprint and ask for a subsidy unlock code.
You'll need to provide the IMEI
*#06# on the keypad. After they give you the code, try a gsm sim. Hope this helps.

I think I've read about people unlocking for use on metro pcs which is tmobile. Thanks for heads up though, probably gonna have to buy one when I switch.
I unlocked a Sprint s4 and I am able to make calls with a AT&T micro sim in but cannot get data and texts working. I had to downgrade the baseband to get into hidden menu, but I stopped there. In the hidden menu you have to make some changes but I was scared that if I got it to work on at&t I wouldnt be able to get it back working on Sprint. Everyone does say that Sprint doesnt allow anyone to use other domestic carriers.

Hello,
I am considering buying this phone from Verizon. I have been looking at the phone spec, and found that its technical model is SM-N900V. Is it inferior to the international model N9005 in anyway?
Since I travel a lot, will the difference in the network band prevent me from using this phone in certain countries? Can this problem be solved by rooting and installing custom rom/software?
Thank you!
I don't know what the complete differences are. However I do know it's an unlocked phone and can be used with other Sims.
I have a ATT phone and switch the Sims out on a regular basis.
You shouldn't have any problems traveling with this phone.

Correct. hspa but not LTE I haven't seen LTE yet but then again I haven't tried an ATT LTE apn either. I believe LTE is on a different band anyway.
But it absolutely gives people in my contacts the impression that I'm calling or texting from my ATT phone. It's sweet.

In the mean time, can anyone here with technical knowledge tell me if there is any disadvantage in choosing Verizon's N900V over N9005? Especially for using them outside the US?
Thanks!

Nope, i'm actually surprised that Verizon didn't lock the phone if what the above poster said is true. The bootloader isn't what you need unlocked to move from carrier to carrier. Phones with sim cards are generally GSM and phones without sim cards are generally CDMA. GSM phones are normally locked to the specific carrier that you bought it from. CDMA phones are not usually taken on any other networks unless you are moving to a network like cricket which takes what it can get

As he said, Verizon 4G phones are all sim unlocked. Phones like this and the Note 2, which I just came from, have the CDMA and GSM bands. It is just as simple as putting in the SIM, change the APN, and be working. That said, the Note 2 could not get a 4G GSM signal only HSPA+ because of the bands it supported. I haven't checked the S5 yet, but I do believe I have seen that it does support some of the 4G GSM bands.
You are right about the CDMA part which is why it wouldn't be wise to buy, say a Sprint S5, and then come to Verizon because it does not support any CDMA bands.
so you guys can confirm that it is sim unlocked?
They always are. All Verizon Wireless 4G phones are SIM unlocked.

Bare with me if this seems like an absolutely stupid question.
When I travel I have a GSM HTC One S that I pop in a pre-paid SIM to use (say, 3 in Ireland). I believe this was a T-Mobile phone previously that I carrier unlocked. If I have a Verizon CDMA S5, I could pop in the 3 SIM and be able to use it (maybe not 4G depending on the bands) provided I updated the APN information?

Correct. I used my Note 2 in multiple European countries, lastly in Rome where it was stolen. Take your Verizon sim out at the airport, put the new one in, change APN, and voila.
(carriers I have tested with - Orange, Vodafone(multiple places), 3, Rogers in Canada)
Your S5 on Verizon isn't solely CDMA. If you look up any website with the bands it supports, you will see the GSM bands.

I am almost positive the T-Mobile (and AT&T) versions do not have the CDMA radios enabled, and Verizon (and Sprint) need CDMA.

Absolutely not, it will NOT work but if it was the other way around

All S7 Edge Verzion phones are sim unlocked.

As soon as I get mine unlocked I'll let you know as I have Verizon. All s8 models are the same but I'm sure the T-Mobile software has blocked Verizon bands. I'm sure if you flash Verizon software it will work just fine.

You need an unlocked Tmobile S8 or S8 plus.
Read the instruction in "Flash any carrier 100%" to flash to the carrier you desired, activate all bands.
Then use it on Verizon.
You need to flash your phone to Verizon to work. I did the exact opposite actually. I bought a Verizon device and flashed it fully to T-Mobile. Works perfect on T-Mobile because every US Galaxy S8 for the major carriers is SM-G950U. They support each other's bands, their just disabled by the carrier firmware.

I did not have any luck flashing it to the official Verizon Firmware, but I was able to flash it to the G955U1 firmware. The official unlocked US Firmware. Make sure your t mobile device is SIM unlocked by TMOBILE before you do this.
1. SIM unlock device by tmobile (pay off device, meet the 40 day requirement, etc).
2. Flash to G955U1 (S8+) or G950U1 (S8).
3. Insert Verizon SIM or ATT or any SIM.
4. Your phone will give you pop up warning saying it needs to restart to configure the new SIM.
5. Enjoy your new carrier.
Did you use a Verizon SIM and did you get both VoLTE and WiFi calling to work with the G955U1 FW?
my 2 cents

I went to Verizon store and used one of their Verizon SIMS from a display model of the S8+. Voice over LTE works, Data works and I was not able to test Wifi Calling at the store. I even ran a speed test and had about 27mpbs down and the associate ran speed test on his phone and he got about 20mpbs down connected to the same server using the Speedtest app. I ran the LTE discovery app and shows me connected to LTE Band 13.
Hope all of this helps.
Bringing S8 to sprint?
Did you anybody try to use a TMobile or other branded S8 on Sprint? The Sprint customer support is not able to add the IMEI to their database for whatever reason.
@Aephel
@T33H00
Silly question, but does doing all this void Warranty? or is there no such issue anymore?
For example flashing Verizon Firmware onto a Tmobile Unlocked.
I unlocked my t-mobile s8 plus and attempted to use a Verizon SIM. It does NOT work. Verizon states that the IMEI is not in there database and that they cannot activate it.
