Hi,
I was just wondering if it's possible to get the latest AlwaysOnDisplay on the S7 Edge without using the Android N Beta?
It's the one with intergrated 3th party notifications and ability to change the played music title
Thanks in advance!
Nope. You can get an app that claims to do that, but as the expense of increased battery drain. Samsung integrated it deeper into firmware for minimal battery loss.

I just wondering is it possible to get something like galaxy S7 always-on display feature on S5?
sixperience for the s5 will be updated to a s7 MM base from what I've seen on facebook, the feature is there but I don't know when it will be released and the rom is no longer found on these forum but progress updates are shared on facebook
fake ?
If you're running an mm ROM theres a port for it in the apps section I believe.

The S7 has a cool new feature where you can choose to always have the time displayed on your screen, along with other things like battery and stuff...
Is there anything like that for the S4? It'd really just be handy to have the time always-on, but any more is wonderful.
Thanks.
ambient display is as close as we get which isn't always on, just occasionally...
I wouldn't recommend it. The S4's screen wasn't designed with Always-On in mind, so it is possible that screen burns may appear due to the prolonged display of static images.
Is it possible. ..I believed that s4 and s5 screen is almost the same kind...
S5 developer has successfully ported Always-on-display (AOD) from s7 edge to s5 snapdragon version...so I think is it possible to have a s7 ported rom for s4..
I may be wrong xD

With S7 apps = possible,
But, don't wish for Always On Display feature. It's insane for S4 battery life for me...

How much drain are we talking about? Also, Greenify seems to do more harm than good for some users. Are you on exynos or sd820? I would reinstall all the apps you have disabled and see if that's the problem.

Is it an Exynos or a Snapdragon 820 variant ? What is your software version ?
We are talking about the exynos version and it drain about 7 % per 30 min so you suggest to delete greenify?

If your software version ends in APD1 or higher the only option is to downgrade to APC8. Any other measures are not really effective.
I don't want to downgrade any other options without losing my warranty also my software is apd1

You will not lose your warranty when downgrading to an official firmware. My "warranty void" flag is still "0" after downgrading. Your other option is to live with it and hope that a future update solves the issue (I highly doubt it since the SD820 editions had this issue since day 1).
Ok thank you very much ! One more question which case and screen protector you use ?

I suggest you first do this you can first try skipping 1 & 2 and see how it goes.
I have the Exynos with latest APD1 update and nothing changed for me compared to the previous version, with light use I manage 6 days on a charge.
6 days on a single charge?

Especially the Power Saving mode, with its feature to reduce 1440p to 720p to save on battery. I'm surprised why that hasn't been implemented yet.
Another thing I'd like to see ported is the updated Camera software. Being able to slide from left to right to get the different camera modes, and down to up to change to Selfie, and all that would be nice as well.
What other things would you guys like to see?

Just saw this in the noncarrier specific s7 edge thread, seems it has a few bugs but either way the porting has begun

I don't know if this is a feature is on the Note 7 but I read that S7/S7 edge that do not have the Snapdragon 820 have an ability to schedule phone reboots. I find that I get better battery life of I reboot my phone every morning. It would be nice to be able to automatically schedule the reboot.

Ah, I'm hoping it would be through an official Samsung firmware update in a way because root isn't cutting it for me with getting huge battery drainage because of the engineering kernel used to get root.
I hear the batteries will start exploding with the next update
I have been using the constellation AOD on my s7 edge for like 2 years now and with this new update I cant use it anymore. Using a custom image fills only a quarter of the screen so thats no use. Is there a way to get the old constellation AOD back? My phone is unrooted. Thanks in advance!
