Would there be any way for me to downgrade back to a point where I can root again?

If I root the phone, is it possible to revert it fully back into factory software later? Or is it a permanent, irreversible change?
And the warranty of the phone is void if I do this?
Also, is it possible to install official HTC roms on it after it's rooted?
Trying to figure out if I should root and install CyanogenMod, or if I should keep it unrooted and install the 2.1 Rom when it's released in August.
You'll be able to unroot using the unroot sappimg or the RUU. Don't hold your breath about that update tho...
my friend updated his phone. Can't root.the phone system version is 4.4.4.
No root method. NEVER take ota if concerned about root.
I am thinking of getting an S 5 and I want to know if I root on a lower bootloader version and then update my bootloader can I still re-root on the higher version incase I lose root?
So, does anyone know if it's possible to boot twrp without flashing it and then root from there? I'm only asking because it would be nice to retain the ota feature in stock. Yet, would rooting make OTAs not work?
Newbie here. Apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm currently sitting on the 7.1.1 beta, rooted, with TWRP installed, and I'm wondering what the best way to downgrade back to 7.0 is. I understand that I won't keep my root, and will most likely have to wipe all my data, but that's not a problem for me, as everything is backed up and I can easily root again. Is the best way to just opt out of the beta, or will I need to manually flash back to 7.0?
I would flash back to stock seeing as how you are rooted/TWRP. You will also need to opt out of the beta program or you will continue to get notifications to update to 7.1.1
