Fantasy Football app (for FA Premier League)

I thought I would bring this back up, Fantasy Football is a great game to play, and Lee Jeary has created a great app for it. It has come along nicely in the last few months, added things such as leagues and management of your team with transfers, captaincy and subs etc. With the most recent update there is a free version aswel. And the full version looks like it will be coming out next week. I for one will be buying it! Hope some of you guys like it aswel.

[ROM][4.0.4]SGT7 Builds for the 8.9

SGT7 is the custom ROM by the guys who brought ICS/CM9 to the OG Galaxy Tab
Initially it supported only the first tab, but now we've decided to support other tablets as well, so here it is!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/
It's based on CyanogenMod 9, and will continue being to be so.
In short, it's a heavily modded CyanogenMod for tablets, fully opensource

Also available via Goo Manager
Installation and bugs are also same as CyanogenMod 9, so read the below linked threads as well :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435868
Since neither of us has the device personally, the builds are untested, and we rely on you, the users, to help us.
Report anything wrong with the ROM, and what you'ld like to see in it.
Report issues here : http://code.google.com/p/sgt7/issues/list
(Do not report device-specific issues, i.e. stuff not working on CM9, report only stuff that you saw as a setting and didn't work as expected)
Lastly, thanks to the CyanogenMod team, for all their work, and thanks to the guys who ported ics to this tab.
It's just meant to be an addition of tablet specific tweaks to CM, and we might look forward to merging this functionality into CM later on, but for now, have fun with this.

Hi. Thanks for this custom rom. Is there a page where i can see the modfication. There are so many ICS Roms for the 73X0 and it is hard to understand the differences.

Look at the screenshots for now, and the code behing it is open so you can have a view there.
We'll try preparing a list soon
Downloading now, anything in particular you want tested and screenshots of ?
Do you have screen shots of it running on our tablet? the GT-7310/7300 8.9?

can someone make screenshots, where i can see difference to CM9?

I'm also wondering what are the heavy tablet-specific modifications mentioned at OP. What makes this different from pure CM9?

Sorry for holding back on the feature list, been a bit busy.
This should help though, taken on my p1, camera still doesn't work for your tabs (8.9) : https://plus.google.com/photos/116129314276967903080/albums/5746721274320679521

Nope, you still have to use soft decoding
Tablet Tweaks
Here's some screen shots of the some of the tablet settings and customisation settings.
Thanks for your Screenshots. What is the meaning of "eanble physical keyboard". I have a Samsung keyboard and the regular CM9 has only an english keyboard layout. But i don't have to activate something?!
That's a good question lol
I assume it's for devices with a hardware keyboard built in, if it's like the setting on phones then it toggles the hardware keyboard on and off so you can use a soft keyboard.
Very good rom. Thanks
According to Dice Player it's using HW acceleration on playback, I played a 720p video fine with no stuttering or sound problems, that was even over a G wifi network, I have Motley v2d installed and mount my film and tv folders off my media server as drives on the tab using cifs manager.
I'm not getting any crashing in the browser of gmail now after doing a couple of wipes, which is a bit odd considering I wiped everything when I first installed, so probably more a freak than anything to do with the rom.
All in all it's excellent, everything I have thrown it's way has worked flawlessly

This is an early release preview of things to come, we are 99% functional hardware wise, but there is still a fair bit of work to do under the hood.
CM10 is still in early stages of development, but, is progressing at a rapid pace... Things will be broken & not all features from CM9 have been ported (yet).
Expect some weirdness, breakage & other things.
In an effort to keep this thread form being derailled like the other Jellybean thread, lowsum has started a thread for user discussion in general... I will be monitoring that thread too.
Posts giving thanks, telling us that you're downloading now are not wanted nor needed in this thread.
It is about development, for reporting bugs, working on & contributing to fixes/solutions.
Please respect this wish... hit the thanks button & move on to general.

EGL memory leak (most apparent in chrome browser)
Bump
Bugs that remain from CM9:
Recent apps list causes tearing on system bar:
Open enough apps such that the recent apps list requires scrolling. Then, scroll down so a preview goes through the system bar. Move it around (scroll, half throw it off) and you'll see.

Though more monkeying with it shows certain patterns, such as only interacting with the lower thumbnails causes tearing. Probably related to how the UI redraws. Will attempt to get logcat.
Chrome suffers graphical errors and hangs:

D/OpenGLRenderer( 9520): GL error from OpenGLRenderer: 0x505

The screenlock interface doesn't appear after resuming the tablet. It did at first, but not anymore. It works anyway when you sweep with the finger where it should be... may be a redraw issue.

Right now this is my number 1 problem.

Guys ... my phone slid out of my pocket onto concrete last night so I might delay release for this rom until it can be fixed.
The LCD still looks beautiful, it is only the top glass that is cracked (at the bottom right). Does anyone have suggestions for repair? I have never done phone surgery before. I am in Seattle if anyone can suggest a local place.

I wasted 2 days trying to email their support directly. It seems their SMTP server is not functional. It accepts TCP connections and then just sits there without sending the required banner. I tried from both gmail and my own personal mail server.
I just sent them a support request via the web interface. Hopefully that will turn out better.
Keep this in mind if you ever need to contact Oppo support...

Got my Black S8+ 64GB Intl. version yesterday - First impressions

Hello all, I've just gotten my brand new S8+ preorder via mail (Madrid, Spain), and I wanted to share my first impressions with you, and/or open up useful discussions.
Feel free to comment or ask me for any particular detail, I'll try to share my experience as much as I have time to.
What I like:
* Elegant and sophisticated design, looks solid even while being made mostly of plastic or derivatives.
* Nice grip (I have big hands though)
* Smaller bezel and high screen ratio really stands up as a difference
* In general, good improvements overall around OS and software
* Good audio output; good BT high quality audio
* iris detection works flawlessly
What can be improved:
* Nougat samsung-tweaked OS seems a bit unfinished at some spots; although stable in general
* Many apps, by default, do not take on all over the entire screen, but keeping the standard screen ratio and displaying black bars at the top & bottom (can be overriden though)
* Just a few third party apps crashed unexpectedly, but I assume they will be fixed/updated in no time
* new fingerprint position is really inconvenient, at least for me (but does the job)
* It is not as snappy and fast as I would have expected to be (maybe we need more firmware iterations for this).
Where I don't honestly feel changes from prior S7/Edge:
* Camera: still very good. Havent' seen anything new there
* Bixby: havent' played with it much; not very impressed anyway (personal opinion)
....
This is what I got so far!
Cheers

Interesting, my first impression was that is was made of some kind of plastic or compound.

I have the international/european/Exynos version, plus, I see the 'oem unlock' toggle available on developer options, so my guess would be that this version has an unlocked bootloader (but I don't know any other means of validating this, if you do, please let me know so I check).

U can bet volte will not work immediately, I have a s7e exynos and it was quite awhile until someone figured out how to get volte working, also some things you have to do to trick att into thinking you have one of their phones
Just FYI, if anyone with the proper skillset (Chainfire? ) is reading this and has any interest on S8+ rooting, I will gladly offer my help by using my device for testing.
I don't mind tripping Knox.
Thanks!
After use many Samsung phone , none of them are as snappy or smooth as it should be. And snapdragons version are even worse. Get hot easily , pull down notification panel can be stuttring sometime. Especially when switch wifi or during using as GPS. And no, disable apps doesn't really do anything to help this.

Really? This phone feels buttery smooth to me. I've had no issues with GPS or heat either.
Mostly I rooted my phones not only for backup but for unlocking the voulme "borders" too.
This time the S8+ is so loud and the sound is so good - the headphones are really premium - I dont think I will root it soon. Perhaps if there are 100% sure ways to root, but not before.
BTW: I love my phone - the S8+ is really exciting and nice!!
