My question is anyone knows something that's can help me, registry string, other things.

Hi,
Most of my friends and family have more than one mobile number. in my nokia i can simply add a new mobile number to the person's name and even add a note to it to identify the operator. can this be done in WM2003 in the MDA Compact?
thanks
yes,of course..!
well, how do you do it? is what i was actually looking for not just a yes answer although it is justified seeing as i did not phrase my question to be more specific.....
You only have to the new numver to the contact as "Work phone" or "other" etc...
you can even place them under 'CAR' or 'PAGER' they would still be dialled if selected although you can't change the note it is the best solution I think. I guess you could just put his/her primary mobile to MOBILE and the secondary to CAR or PAGER or another field. My bro has 3 mobiles and this is what i did with his contact card.[/img]
Hello all!
Some older mobile phones have the following function:
You press an number and a sharp - e.g. 55# - and the relevant SIM number is selected. The same applies for Prophet (I know this is the wizard forum but I suppose more people have wizard than prophet and the issue is OS related).
Now I was wondering whether there is a way (OS or third party soft) to do the same with the numbers in the phone book. It is much easier to remember a three digit number for certain contacts than to type the whole name (my phonepad does not support Greek names).
Don't tell me about speed dial - I would like something that would allow me to handle more than 10 numbers..
Thank you in adavnce!
Does your Wizard not have the Smart Dialer? With it, you can just start typing the phone #, and it'll pop up a list of matching contact phone numbers from which you can pick. Not quite the same, I know, but close enough?
Otherwise... can't say I've spotted anything that does what you mentioned
I installed the Sprint TV cab that comes with the new ROM but every time I start the application I get this message.
Unable to get billing system indicator for the MDN(12)
MDN : ##########
CID : AFB52 - 73E8C- 16332
I noticed that the value of MDN is supposed to be my phone number but it's wrong. One of the numbers does not match with my phone number and I'm pretty sure that's what the problem is but I don't know how to change my device's phone number
Does anyone know how to change the phone number on Windows Mobile???
I'm sure the information is on this forum somewhere, but I'd say just give sprint a call. I can't rem. the exact steps so I won't tell you them as I don't want you wrecking your phone due to my poor memory...
I do know when I ported my number after getting my Mogul on Tuesday I was walked through some steps punching in various codes and the like and I was able to edit the phone number and something else on my phone.

I have the same problem with my Touch Pro. How do we change the MDN without going through Sprint CS? I have had enough of their crappy CS so I would rather get the info through the helpful mates on this forum.
dial ##778# send
then enter your MSL code, select edit, then select VIEW softkey, select NAM settings, there you'll find MDN, tap and hold with stylus and edit.
Hope this helps.
Oops, I just realized how old this was. Sorry, as it's probably already been resolved for the OP long ago.
Hi,
at the moment if i go into a contact and check his/her details, ive noticed that i can only insert one mobile number. Is there an application where i can add more than one mobile number?
thanks
Hello,
I often use an access code to dial internationally, and once I am connected to that access number, I have to enter the number of the person I am calling.
I have an HTC Touch HD with WM6.1pro and cannot find a way to do it. If I connect to the access number, then at the prompt go to my address book and dial a second number, it assumes I want to have two separate calls and puts the access code on Hold... which is not what I want! I do not remember all my friend's numbers, so I do have to use the address book.
With my old nokia n95, once connected I could go to the menu and say I want to dial a DTMF which is the tone you hear when dialing a normal phone. This allows me to follow on with calling the number I need while connected to the call.
Is there a way of doing this on WM6?
I have a kind of work around. I edit my international friends phone numbers as a "car phone" and the numbers look like this
02081802828 p 0027115555555
the access code, then I add p to pause then their number.
The HUGE problem is that when I dial any of my international contacts, the phone displays the same person... so no matter who I call internationally, it always shows a photo of my friend Ian, and displays his name instead of the person I am actually speaking to. I think this is a bug where WM6.1 only looks at the first 11 characters of a number, but the problem is, all my intl numbers have the same first 11 numbers.
Help MUCH appreciated, thanks,
Mark.

Don't know if it will work... but you coud try (using Advanced Config) to increase the number of digits used to "match" the numbers in the contacts... for example to 18 or 19 numbers... but I cannot immagine what other "consequencies"could happen...
Let us know !

Hi Kostas
It seems that the problem is actually with spb Mobile Shell and not windows mobile.
When I dial using the windows mobile dialler, it gets the name and picture right, but when I use spb's dialler it shows the wrong person and name...
I will chase it up with them... and thanks for the good idea, unfortunately the Call ID Match does not help the problem.
Efgaristo!
Mark.
