[GUIDE] Dual Viber Account for Dual Sim Phones (no root) - Galaxy Note5 General

Sharing this to all dual sim Note 5 owners -- get dual viber accounts in your phone (or dual Facebook, or other dual app) -- one for each mobile number.
What to do:
1. You must have viber installed/
2. Install Parallel Space from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lbe.parallel.intl&hl=en
3. Proceed with the installation and select that app that you want to have a second account (in this case viber)
4. Continue with the usual installation, including viber verification.
5. At the end, you will have a second viber account using Parallel.
How do you know which one is the Parallel Account and which one is the original account? Click the Recent Apps button (hardware button left of home key) to display the open apps.
You will always see the second viber account is displayed as a window "Viber(Parallel)"
The original viber account is displayed as "Viber".

[HOW TO] Best config viewing VoiceMail/SMS in GMail!

I just found out about SMS Backup (FREE on the Market). That led me realize I could configure GoogleVoice the same way. GV always pissed me off because if I linked it to gmail like I wanted, I'd get 2 notifications (the GV app on the phone, and the new e-mail), but not anymore! I thought I'd tell you guys about the setup as, in my opinion, it is how Android should have shipped!
Step 1: Simply install SMS Backup from the market. Run it, go to settings, tell it to auto-backup. Now, when ever you send or receive an SMS, it will appear as a message in your GMail. It will not clutter your inbox at all, but will appear under a GMail label called "SMS". The only problem is it doesn't work with MMS, and of course your phone has to be on running the software.
Step 2: Get a GoogleVoice account:
https://services.google.com/fb/forms/googlevoiceinvite/
Step 3: Setup your GoogleVoice account to forward messages to your GMail, and turn on Do-Not-Disturb so that all calls go to voicemail. (note, the known issue with this setup is that your callers hear 4 additional rings before they can leave a message, hopefully google will fix this soon)
Step 4: Setup your phone to forward all unanswered calls to your GoogleVoice phone number.
Step 5: Setup a GMail rule so that all messages received from "[email protected]" to be archived, marked as read, and labeled "GoogleVoice" or whatever label you want (note: except "voicemail", google has that reserved, probably to do exactly what I just did now)
Step 6: Install GoogleVoiceAndroid on your phone as your visual-voice-mail app.
Thats it!
Now you have normal SMS on your normal phone number that is also viewable in GMail, and you have Transcribed VisualVoiceMail for your normal phone number that is readable+listenable from both GMail and the GoogleVoice app on your phone. ...and none if it fills your GMail inbox, it's only under its own label.
------------
Rant...
Anyway, what's Google's problem? Android should have had all VoiceMail, SMS, MMS, and even phone-media and phone-settings available in GMail from Day 1! That was the promise... if you lose your phone and get a new one, a single login to Google and a few hours of syncing should make your new phone 100% identical to your old one (plus you should have access to ALL info that is on your phone from any web browser).
They don't even sync Android bookmarks with GoogleToolBar bookmarks... but I'm getting off topic now. There's probably an app for that too... <goes to search market>

Google authenticator issues

I've disabled the 2 step verification on my Gmail. Cleared data on my handset but I am yet unable to use the handset app.
Each time I've got to get the code thru sms.
Any 1 else facing similar issues? ?

Go to the 2-step-verification home page.
Under "How to receive codes" you have your current phone listed under Mobile Application.
Click Edit.
Rather than picking Phone Model and moving on, instead select "Set up a different phone" and follow the instructions.
It generates a new secret, which you'll need to enter into all devices you want to use Google Authenticator on.
The old secret is invalidated, so you need to remove the old secret from your original device.
You do this in the Google Authenticator application by long-tapping (Android) on your account and the 6-digit PIN, this gives you the option to "delete" the key.

S7 Edge Duos with (whatsapp + parallelspace whatsapp) Contacts Problem

My S7 edge contacts are all mixed up and I am trying to find a way to undo this and find the reason why
S7 Edge Duos
I have whatsapp installed and also Parallel Space app for the 2nd number's whatsapp.
I use gmail as my contacts.
Now when I open a contact (not any contact, some that I realised are wrong numbers) the contact has 2 mobile numbers (one is correct, the other is the number of a different contact in my contact list)
I go to EDIT and the EDIT Window has 3 tabs on top.
Tab 1: Google - shows the correct number
Tab2: Whatsapp - shows the wrong number
Tab3: Whatsapp - shows the correct number
I'm guessing this was caused by the parallel space app and the second whatsapp session I installed in parallel space for my second SIM.
The weird thing is in the EDIT view I can only Edit the Google Tab, and the data in the other two tabs are grayed out.
If I go to MORE and MANAGE LINKED CONTACTS again I see 3 lines, Whatsapp (wrong number), Google and another whatsapp (correct number).
I uninstalled parallel space but it is still the same.
I can remove the link but I have so many contacts and can not know which number is which.
Any help?
Solved
Uninstalled both whatsapps reinstalled, automatically updated all the whatsapp data in the contacts

How to save contact in SIM or in phone storage in MiA1 instead of google acc

In Mi A1, I am not seeing any option to save newly created contact in phone or SIM, the only option is to save in google account. Also tried in google dedicated contact app from play store, but the option to save contact in phone or SIM is missing there as well in Google contact app. Anyone know any app or workaround to save contact in phone or SIM?
Use "LocalAccount" app from Play Store. Will do the trick.
That's be a use those options don't exist in stock Android. Sim cards in most places in the world have not been used for phone numbers in almost a decade so devices with it come with a separate app to make it happen
Contacts>>>>Menu then find 3 dots on top right corner and you find>>>>>Import\Export
Check this works
there is one way to save contacts in phine storage i.e first root your mobile and then by installing titanium backup, freeze google contacts sync.thats it your contacts will besaved to phone storage.
hope this helps.
This can't be for real ... is there still no way to store contacts on the device itself? What is Samsung doing that MIUI can't/won't?
I too was searching for this. There is no option in the mobile to do that.
Hopfully u could export all the contacts to SSD card and later use another Sim(new one), n
copy all contacts to it. U know phones before smart phones; were the ones that could do it.
