You should read the sticky thread in general. Beginners guide.
Red triangle with no command. That's stock recovery which is why you can't access TWRP, you don't have it anymore.
Also, not for nothing, don't dirty flash between different ROMs. I honestly find it extremely hard to believe (borderline of not at all) that you've been doing it 5 years and never had a single problem.
Here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928/page519
Edit: Stop using toolkits for this exact reason. Follow the guide I posted above and do everything manually and you'll be fine.
ive had problems before but always solved them. I got the phone up and running now. Problem is that i need to flash gapps and i have no google apps on my phone. I think i will solve it. Thanks.

You shouldn't ever switch ROMs without clean flashing. I hope you're not reporting bugs in threads while dirty flashing between different ROMs.
Anyways, ROMs can generally boot without Gapps. Any source built ROM, per Google's rules, cannot include Gapps. You can flash a source built ROM without Gapps and boot without Play Store, etc.
You don't even have a custom recovery to flash a Gapps package.
You really need to take the time to read the thread I posted so you can learn how to do things correctly so you don't need to post a thread every time something goes wrong, which likely will the way you're flashing now.
No offense intended.
I thank you for your advice. Here what i did. Since i didint had any google services i had to download google play apk from the internet. DIdnt work without google services...so installed google services but everything crashed.
1. Download flashfire but didnt work...why? Because my rom came with superuser.
2. Install flashify and then install twrp.
3. Install gapps via twrp
4. Wipe, install rom+gapps via twrp.
5. Sucess.
Thanks
Seems like fastboot would have been an easier method....
Also not bricked, simply user error.

I have rooted my mojo with towelroot v1, installed TWRP, flashed CM 12.1.
Then rebooted.
In the 12.1 install instructions it says "Install the ROM first then install the google apps". How do I install the google apps? Was I supposed to do that in recovery? Where do I get the gapps?
What do I need to do? Thanks.

You should be able to find gapps from the following post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65432534&postcount=301
You flash gapps from inside TWRP right after you flash CM, selecting the gapps zip you downloaded just as you did with the CM Rom. If memory serves, you can probably go back into TWRP and flash gapps without having to re-flash CM.

Thanks, I made a little progress since I posted this. I found gapps 5.0 (someone elsewhere suggested 5.0 micro would be best for mojo).
Next question was 1) How to I re-enter recovery and can 2) Can I flash gapps after CM has already unpacked itself or whatever it does on initial run? You answered #2.
Is the only way to re-enter recovery by using some sort of quick reboot apk? Is there a combination of buttons on the controller you can press or something like that? Thanks again for your help.

There is no button combo to do that, and of course the MOJO itself has no buttons (at least not where you can get to them). You can also enter recovery from fastboot, but installing quick reboot is easier. Just search the internet until you can find a download link, make sure you have "unknown sources" enabled in security settings, and install it from your download folder.
You should have no problems flashing GApps after CM is running, but if you do simply start over.
I think you'll have poor luck trying to flash a 5.0 GApps on CM12.1 though, you'll need a 5.1 file. I recommend flashing a pico version, then installing anything else you need (probably at least Google Play games) through Play Store.
http://opengapps.org/
If you need to enter recovery without the reboot app, I recommend reading the thread on recovery in the dev section again:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mad...overy-twrp-2-8-2-0-recovery-mad-catz-t2973640
Solved.
After a failed attempt with a Quick Reboot apk I downloaded from somewhere (It didn't do the reboot part) I was able to find a flashify apk that allowed me to re-flash recovery and reboot into it.
Turns out you need 5.1 micro gapps. For lollipop 5.1. Who knew.

Haha. Yeah I was about to respond to that, but you beat me to it.
Hi, first of all, I'm new to all this so I'm not sure what I'm doing and I don't know much about technical terms.
All I wanted to do was to install CM12.1 ROM on my Note 3 Exynos. I was on stock Lollipop 5.0., rooted.
To start I had installed TWRP Recovery Manager from Google Play Store according to the instruction on the first page of the CM12.1 ROM thread. Then opening the app it asks me to install BusyBox (which I hit OK but nothing seems to be happening). Then on the very first screen I selected my phone model, then below I hit Install Recovery, which it did and report it was successful. Then it asks if I wanted to boot into recovery and I hit yes, and since then I have been stuck in a bootloop.
So I'm sure that I messed something up, but I'm not sure how to get out. I have searched through the forums and see multiple ways but I'm afraid to do anything in fear that I might damage the device any further. I am aware that one of the best solution is to flash the device back to stock ROM, however I have some data on this device that I want to keep, if that is possible.
Thank you very much for you help.
You recovery corrupted. Flash twrp with odin. If it doesn't work flash official firmware. You should not lost you data. Never use rom manger after this. It caused many cases of bootloop.

thank you very much. Flashing TWRP with Odin didn't work but as you said, flashing back to stock ROM still keeps my data. So thank you.
Try Philz Recovery .
problem solved. thanks guys. admin please delete thread.
I have a Note 3 N9005.
I installed the latest TWRP recovery.
No matter which rom I try to flash to the system, the same thing happens.
I see that the Aroma installer is strarting and than it just resets for no reason, no install made.
The only sulotion I have found so far is to install a 5.0 stock rom via Odin.
I want to install a custom rom 6.0.1.
Does anyone know what the hell?
Sae problem but a lil worse!!

I tried to do the same but ended up bricking my phone. So then I try to unbrick/unroot my phone by flashing the stock rom but I can't do that either cause now it says "Volume Size is too big 4620288<4718599. Need help!!!! ASAP!
Hey guys, I had the same problem at first and it freaked me out too.
Try installing the older 2.8.7.0 version for TWRP through the app, instead of the latest or any other after v3 for that matter. Apparently I've read from other forums that it's due to lack of Aroma Installer Support.
Hope this helps
Confirm the phone's model # by booting into download mode befor flashing TWRP or a stock ROM from sammobile.com.
Will try
I flashed the stock rom packege with odin.
saved my phone after brick.
so you are saying that by downgrading the TWRP recovery i can use aroma insatller based roms again?
cause i also tried to install reserection remix rom (I think this has no aroma in it), i got a massage that said that i cannot install it as well.
refuses to let me change into anything but stock rom.
rooting did not help at all.

To be honest I don't really know about Cyanogen Mod, however this was just my personal experience with Aroma Installer. I've tried DarkWolf_FW and Aryamod ROMs which are both S7 Edge Port ROMs, and they both use Aroma Installer.
- Also! Take the opportunity to make a Nandroid backup just in case the installation goes bad, then you can restore to where you are right now. Honestly downgrading just worked for me so please don't make me liable if anything goes to pot, at least you will have a full device backup to the exact point in your system which I have found extremely useful when trying different ROMs and Kernels.

don't worry man
1. I always backup the whole phone before ANY change.
2. your suggestion sound interesting, cause i tried the same rom's you did but no install was made.
3. i'll maybe try a different recovery... maybe CWM.

Hey, just randomly thinking, did you reset all your System, Data and Cache and Dalvik Cache files before you tried to install the ROMs? Sorry, this might not make a difference, but I don't think I have any more advice to give (I'm kinda new to this too ).
Hope CWM recovery goes well, let me know how it goes

Doing a complete backup before anything is always the safest bet.
From my experience, TWRP 3+ is fine for CM and AOSP based ROMs.
TWRP 2.8.7-0 is the one you should use to flash ROMs using AROMA Installer.
If you read the OP (opening post) on any ROM forum, it will usually include installation instructions and generally states which TWRP version should be used.
Good Luck.

I presume when you say it doesn't turn on you mean it doesn't boot into the Android environment. Have you tried unplugging the battery and pressing the Volume Up + Home + Power Button? Yes... I was surprised you don't have to be an octopus too..
Then restore the Nandroid backup from before.
You can also flash TWRP through Odin without root, have a look at the TWRP website for more info.

all you need is to flush new stock rom via Odin.
Search the web (like I did) to find a stock rom with 4 .tar files in it.
There should be instructions on how to install but usually all needs to be done is this:
1. load odin 3.*
2. enter the phone in download mode.
3. After you see the line 'add' in odin, load the .tar files to the correct place each (not hard they are tagged by same name)
4. Flush and pray.
5. After a successful install the phone will reboot, this will take a while so don't get streesed.
after about 10-15 min the phone will load again.
Root one more time via odin and try to install again.

Hi. I was enjoying Lineage OS's latest ROM (14.1) and wasn't able to enjoy the "nightly" updates because when I went to do the update, I found out I needed a compatible recovery to do so. I had TWRP sitting on my computer and would FASTBOOT Boot twrp.img to flash roms. When I saw you needed to install twrp to make the Nightly update feature work, I flashed it with fastboot. I also went ahead and decided to start from scratch with a fresh install and used the latest Nightly LIneage OS file . After it installed, it booted up great. But when I went to add many apps back to my phone, so many of them were not showing up in the play store. And when some did, it would say "Incompatible Device" So I went to my settings and decided to try out the Nightly update hoping maybe that was the problem. When it booted to TWRP, nothing happened. So I hit REBOOT. and no matter what I choose, it just boots back into TWRP. Even when I hold the power button down and let it boot back up. Without touching any volume buttons, it just boots into TWRP. I can't get back to my OS. I'm going to try to install Lineage OS again and just hope I can get to my phone to make sure I'm getting messages from friends, doctors, etc...
Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. I used this site " http://www.androidinfotech.com/2016...2-laser-ze551kl-marshmallow-install-twrp.html "
to root my phone so I could use Titanium Backup. I'm hoping something in there didn't mess me up.
Thank you in advance.

Well dang. I tried installing LINEAGE OS rom again and hoped for some strange reason it would boot into it. TWRP just keeps loading. I try the Reboot command in TWRP then choose SYSTEM and it still just goes to TWRP.
Well sometimes it just helps to air your frustration. As is true with many things in life. Say it out loud. Etc...
I was sure I had THE latest version of TWRP installed when this was happening. I rechecked to make sure. I didn't. I was 1 version away. Fastboot flashed that and it's booting normally . For now. Now, to see if I can get those apps to show up in the play store.
Things like Snapchat, Facebook messenger, etc... would just not show up.
Nope. That's still a problem . I wonder why this is happening?
Try clearing dalvik cache and sync you data for your mail account. I think those app wil show up. As for snapchat, you can't install it via playstore you can't pass safetynet.

Hello. I'm running the latest version of LineageOS 14.1 (just installed the nightly update) and several of the apps close the second I launch them. Clock was the first one I noticed . Loading pictures to share in other apps from Quckpic. and other apps I can't remember right now.
So I wanted to backup everything and try a different Rom thinking I might not have those problems. I installed SU and TWRP and then Titanium Backup Pro. After installing SU I had root. This morning I went to run a current backup and it said I no longer had root.
Dang. I have to go to the Pain Clinic. Time always catches up with me so fast when trying to problem solve.

Re-check your root with Root Checker. If you still have it, flash su removal through TWRP and flash systemless SuperSU. If you don't have it, just install systemless SuperSU. After you do that, boot back to the system (your boot might loop once - it's normal, do not interrupt boot), give TB pro root access, and see if it helped.

I'm trying to install LineageOS on my stock rooted 8.0 6P. I did a complete wipe (except internal storage) and attempted to flash through TWRP. Came up as a success but the phone stuck at the Google Logo for over 20 minutes so I unrooted and went back to factory, reinstalled TWRP and tried again with the same result.
On stock or stock rooted it boots fine but won't boot into the other ROM at all.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Have you followed the instructions on the dedicated 6P LOS thread? In your OP you didn't mention flashing Vendor,BL or Radio which is at the very top in the "Important Info" section. There is also a Wiki there on how to get it installed.
Thanks, that helps!
I've downloaded the extra files vendor/radio etc but it doesn't say in the instructions https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/angler/install when in the actual process to flash these...
You just need the vendor, even with wrong vendor it should boot, may your rom or gaaps dl was corrupt.
Download ROM and opengapps again. Flash the ROM and let it boot, afterwards you can flash gapps and root anyway.
Edit: you can flash vendor with twrp first if you want to.
Edit: why you want to step back to nougat, try acip Oreo ROM, works great and close to los and you get ota updates too.

Flash Vendor first. BL/Radio are independent and can be flashed after booting the ROM and letting it settle. Even with the addon root, I still had to start LOS, toggle allow root, and then flashed SuperSU. Also spend some time thinking about which OpenGapps package you select before you apply it. Their app is also def worth using. Simplifies the update process. Good luck.

I'm trying to go Google free so gapps isn't required, is it?

I've always used a minimal (micro) GApps package and flashed immediately after LOS on my N7, so I can't say but you can always start with no GApps, adding them later if you don't like the outcome. Did you look at Pico in the comparisons link? At least it has the dialer framework.

Nope, GApps isn't required. I didn't flash it on mine because I am only using it as a shell for Plasma. You could download alternative markets, though you may need a few of the core Google services for some apps, so beware of that (you could install them manually afterwards though).
