I follow the procedure in post #1. However I cannot cut and paste in the system partition although I can use some apk that requires root and I can cut and pass in the data partition. Is there anything that you did differently than in post #1 to be able to cut and paste in the system partition?
First of all , let me thank you for this working method to root Mate 8 that runs Android 7 EMUI 5...

Yes we can flash - superuser-r275.zip in android 7 using twrp from http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/twrp-nougat-edition-t3504140
After that we can run Superuser 2.0 Beta 9.apk from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...11859473848826
However I only obtain partial root. I cannot cut and paste in the system partition however I can cut and paste in the data partition and run some apk like reboot manager that requires root.
When I follow the procedure suggested by post #1, I get the same result, only partial root.

AFAIK, it is not (yet) possible to root this device...
i have not yet tested using kingroot, which from what i've read, has been working for some new SM-T5xx devices, which are not in the support list (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461)
If anyone can root this one, please post how you've done it.
EDIT: It's now confirmed that kingroot can root this device!

works for SM T533 Thanks a million for this app! I just installed the APK on my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 64 bit edition (SM T533) and now I have rooted my tablet!
Most root apps I want work as usual, only installing SuperSU does not work (it cannot update the su binary). But then again, the KingUser app already has the SuperSU functionality.
Just remember to reboot the tablet after rooting, else you get frequent pop-ups of KingRoot crashing.

Kingroot works. I've just rooted my SM-T533 again, after a full factory reset.
The latest version of firmware dated 08-07-2015 (T533XXU1AOG1) does not work with any of Kingroot versions.
Just make sure you have kingroot 4.5 and (this is important), a firmware with a date of 20-04-2015 or lower (e.g.: T533XXU1AOD3). You can find them all in here. (Follow this procedures on how to install an older / official samsung firmware via ODIN)

There would not have been a difference. I tried removing KingUser and replacing it by SuperSU. But SuperSU does not update the binaries. Neither through the app, nor by flashing, even not by using a pre-rooted stock ROM. Seems to be a major error within SuperSU.
Xperia Z2 LP Working, Thx!
That's the dodgy king root app you used, try the beta2.49 version of supersu it's supposed to be the only one to be able to get rid of King user app. Don't think it gives proper root anyway.

Best rooting method? It can be even bundled in the apk itself.
Is it necessary to keep KingRoot after I rooted and switched from KingUser to SuperSU 2.49beta (flashed)? Or is KingUser just for the first process necessary? I just got it all to work on my wifes phone and do not want to start it all over the x-th time.
I too could not update super su binaries. What i did rooted on this.Used nuts dual recovery from pc using rooted by super su option got a pre rooted zip copes pre rooted zip to sd. then rebooted to recovery wiped system partiton .falshed pre rooted zip. seems working fine on my Z2 sofar .xposed etc working well
I've updated my device to B330 (of course), but I need root too. I didn't see a way to do this at the moment, so I've done a few bits to make it happen.
The process for rooting your device is as follows:
- Download my patched boot image - DOWNLOAD (ROMraid)
- Extract the zip file
- Reboot to bootloader ('adb reboot bootloader' or power on with cable connected and volume down pressed)
- Use fastboot to flash the patched boot image ('fastboot flash boot boot.policypatched.b330.img')
- Reboot device and push latest SuperSU zip (must be >2.50) to /sdcard
- Reboot to bootloader and flash TWRP
- Reboot device and start recovery ('adb reboot recovery')
- Flash the SuperSU zip
- Reboot (flash stock recovery image back if desired)
- Hey presto, you'll be rooted! Any questions, feel free to ask.
I will build this to a full automated 'superboot' (auto root) in due course, but this should get everyone going.
Note that you should not apply future OTAs after rooting without rolling back first (maybe grab a boot and /system backup before flashing the above).
Enjoy!

If you have to flash a boot image, then via recovery flash SU, what exactly is in this boot image? As that's no different to what people already do... just wondering - edit: ah ok, patched policy, it says so..

It gets to 28% and then says it can't root. I'm on b330, what firmware are you on?
Update: Ok, so it works on the PC but not via the app.
Update2: Ok guys, I DO NOT recommend using kingroot via PC when on firmware 330 as after a restart I can only boot into rescue mode. I'm wondering if I needed an unlocked bootloader first :/ After many attempts I managed to reinstall my firmware via sd card.

I think yes! I never has to do a downgrade,...u can use 3.0.2 but is beta, my experience with 3.0.2 is a problem with MicroSd, that is i dont use 3.0.2 (Random notification on "damaged memory")
My brother have a note4 and work fine for him.
Use 3.0.2 and see how its work on you. Maybe u find some bug or not.
Again...sorry my english.

1-Donwload from Google play, become a "tester" download & install.
2-Grant supersu acces press "+" and select "flash file or OTA".
3-select file and tilt "mount/system read/write" and press the OK tilt .
4- is gonna be black screen then alot of number and then wait around 5min on logo "samsung".
5- update system screen and done!!
Pd: on logo "samsung" just wait...dont touch and do anything. I wait 6min.

hi. i am facing two problems, so please help me. i am using c9 pro from last 6 months... earlier i rooted my phone with cf autoroot and it worked fine. few days ago i recieved a message that c9 pro recieved nougat update so i flashed stock rom agian to unroot my phone and updated it to nougat version. i tried to root it again with cf autoroot but it failed... so i tried twrp and supersu method. i used twrp and supersu which i downloaded from xda forums for marshmallow device..... root was succesfull but now i face some issues......please help me and guide me regarding these-
1- i use mobogenie to install apps to my sd card and apps2sd to link apps data to sd card. now after nougat update both are encountering problem.... firstly when i install aps through mobogenie my phone restarts the midway and app installation is interrupted everytime.... earlier this was not happening. it starts after nougat update...
2- when i try to move any app to sd card of try to remove unnecessary apps through apps2sd. i crashes... every time i click uninstall or move to sd card apps2sd automatically restarts and nothing happened. i tried to repartition my sd card but nothing happened.
please tell me why these problem occur ? is it because i rooted device with twrp and supersu which was meant for marshmallow version ???? if yes then what is the solution ??? is there any version of twrp and supersu available which is compatible with c9 pro nougat or should i wait for them for release?????
