Hi guys!
I'm getting crazy about how to get my Galaxy tab 4 SM-T533 rooted.
Is it possible?
Thz a lot!
Hi guys!
I will use this thread - begging for help!!!
Looks like I messed something up trying to root my TAB 4 10.1 SM-T533, after restart I got following message:
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: recovery
The only thing I can do is to come back to download mode and nothing else.
Please guide me to the solution! Can I repair that?

AFAIK, it is not (yet) possible to root this device...
i have not yet tested using kingroot, which from what i've read, has been working for some new SM-T5xx devices, which are not in the support list (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461)
If anyone can root this one, please post how you've done it.
EDIT: It's now confirmed that kingroot can root this device!

works for SM T533 Thanks a million for this app! I just installed the APK on my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 64 bit edition (SM T533) and now I have rooted my tablet!
Most root apps I want work as usual, only installing SuperSU does not work (it cannot update the su binary). But then again, the KingUser app already has the SuperSU functionality.
Just remember to reboot the tablet after rooting, else you get frequent pop-ups of KingRoot crashing.

Hi.
I tried kingroot but it didn't worked for me, always root failed with error code.
Is there any other way that's proven to work?
I cannot find any valid option, Oneclickroot doesn't work either ?.
Thanks

Kingroot works. I've just rooted my SM-T533 again, after a full factory reset.
The latest version of firmware dated 08-07-2015 (T533XXU1AOG1) does not work with any of Kingroot versions.
Just make sure you have kingroot 4.5 and (this is important), a firmware with a date of 20-04-2015 or lower (e.g.: T533XXU1AOD3). You can find them all in here. (Follow this procedures on how to install an older / official samsung firmware via ODIN)

Yes, already working with Kingroot.
Any idea on how to install CWM or TWRP?
hello,
unfortunately T530 is no more available in shops
t533 is still in 4.4.4, root not possible with latest versions of firmware, no LL expectation
so I'll wait before buying
It has been announced it will receive lollipop in September.

The latest SRSRoot is not working for me. See screenshot for error.
Getting OffSets.. : error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported. (False)
Acts like exploit is working, reboots, but does not root or install superuser.
PIE check is a new security measure in Lollipop for binaries, so you should wait for further updates or some other rooting apps add your device

I am so there, I will NEVER buy a fresh to the market phone again. I must have tried every one click app and windows root avaiable, several times. The bloatware alone is eating my memory and battery. Not to mention that without xposed;s little tweaks and fixes it looks so alien.
So...please have mercy?! And did I mention THANK YOU FOR ALL THE THINGS I HAVE LEARNED HERE? I was looking to get rid of the ads, found out about adfree andriod. It would only work on a rooted phone...which led to debloating and to cyanogen mod and. Well , you get the idea...a whole new world. KOOL!

Check cord, that was my problem. I tried add new device and device manager only to find my cord beng generic was the problem. Have you tried shutting down with device still plugged in and the restarting pc? That worked for me. Got most up to date drivers? Lots of small annoying things could cause this.
Kingroot works, and it could be replaced easily by SuperSU.

Hello,
I have long been searching for a method to root my lenovo K4 note but none of the mentioned method works (Framaroot, Towelroot, and Kingroot).
So, i was curious if even there exist an exploit or a method to root it?
Please can someone (Developers) find a way to root it?
P.S.-It is depressing that even being a popular phone, there isn't a dedicated device listing of the K4 note on XDA.
I hope XDA moderators can list it in the list of devices.

Need to understand the procedure how you made SuperSu to work on your phone?
Guys, don't root your phone using Kingsroot as the OTA update will not work even if you unroot it.
You may have to flash stock room again to get the updates and the procedure is little complicate.
Be careful!!!!!!
Yaa it's true after rooting ota wiil not be installed that's why we many need custom recovery to flash them
But u can transfer kingroot with SuperSU and try update it worked for me the first time but failed at 2nd 38 MB upgrade

Hello all - I have spent the last several days searching the web for a solution and I fear I may be stuck. From what I can gather, there is no stock firmware image of 5.1.1 that I can use on my t337a Tab to restore to factory. I installed KingoRoot from the play store and then tried to install Xposed Framework. This is when all hell broke loose. I am not familiar with android as I am an ios guy and admittedly did not spend enough time researching. I now must defer to the world and accept the flaming that will almost certainly ensue. Here is the info I have:
Lollipop 5.1.1 was the starting point.
SM-t337a tab 4 8"
Knox Warranty 0x0 (not sure if that matters)
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Reactivation Lock: Off
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable (csb)
RP AWREV: s1, t2, r1, a2, p1
Secure Download: Enable
UDC Start
Sorry if that means nothing but I want to be thorough if anyone is willing to help. I have tried the LP Boot Fix with no luck. I boot to the AT&T logo and after a few secs it locks up and sits there. I have attempted to downgrade to KK but the write failed (auth). I believe I need to flash a pit file? but before I jump back in, I thought I would consult some people more educated than I am. My understanding is there may be a way to take it to a retailer and have them reflash but that would be admitting defeat.
Thanks in advance for any help offered. If more info is needed, I will get it promptly.
This may be in the wrong place. Can a mod move it where it should be? Sorry
Man, I must be screwed! I really thought I would be able to get out of this one. Is there not an expert out there that can point me in the right direction?
I had the same exact problem basically.
Here is how I fixed it:
I found a stock rom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-galaxy-tab-4-official-lollipop-5-t3102844
And I used this guide here: https://androidmtk.com/flash-samsung-stock-rom-using-odin.
This will require a PC, and a way to connect your device to it.

Awesome! You have a SM-T337A as well? My biggest issue is AT&T locking it down.
restore back to stock rom
I have a t337a also and restoring back to stock rom fixed mine. I really wish there were a way to root and install rom on this thing. I have now been searching for another tablet that I can root. Seems like such a waste. I like this device so it's really frustrating at thus point and not an easy conversation with the wife why I need amother tablet.

Did that link to the stock rom? I thought that was an ota that I could not use. Do you have a link to the stop rom you used?
He must have never updated to Lollipop. Once you do that, your screwed. There IS NO OFFICIAL FIRMWARE FOR THIS DEVICE RUNNING LOLLIPOP!!!! You can bring it to a Samsung Service Center in Best Buy but once they see the custom lock on your boot screen, they will know that you messed around with it, and they will not flash it. From what they told me, once your tablet goes into custom kernel status, their software will not be able to restore the firmware. Not sure if this last part is true, but what is true is that there is NO FIRMWARE ONLINE ANYWHERE FOR THIS DEVICE RUNNING LOLLIPOP. I've been screwed for several months now over this same issue. I went on E-bay and bought the unlocked T-mobile version of the Tab 4 which does have the software available. I will NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER AT&T DEVICE EVER!!!!! I will have AT&T service but I will use a T-mobile device.
This is what I see when I try that method.

That's a update file and you must be on stock unrooted Kit Kat to flash that. That's why you are getting the status 7 error. Like I said, you are screwed like everyone else. Your only hope is bringing it to best buy and u have better luck than I did.

Yeah, when you do a factory reset or flash firmware, it will take longer to boot. Its like a new device, booting for the first time.
I am Tickled
