Xposed on sm-g900f G900FXXU1BOJ1????????? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone kinda new to this, had a HTC Sensation, good few years back and tinkered a fair bit with that.
I now have a sm-g900f S5 running stock 5.0 Baseband G900FXXU1BOJ1. I have rooted the device and got TWRP running. I have backed everything up.
My question is can i put xposed on my device and if i can how do i go about it.
Thanks in advance.

Now I habe a rooted S5
1. copy "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip" to phone internal storage
2. flash the "twrp-2.8.7.0-klte.img.tar" with Odin (with "Auto Reboot" OFF)
3. After battery out and in, boot into recovery (VolUP+Home+PWR)
4. In recovery with TWRP go to install zip, choose "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip".
Reboot Phone and tested with a root Checker from Playstore and -> Congratulations! Root access is properly installed on this device!

I think XPosed should work on any bootloader, only depends on the versions that xposed supports but by now it should support almost any android versions, anyone can correct me if I'm wrong here.

This warning shows up when I try and install the framework, any ideas?
I also read that on stock Samsung ROMs it causes bootloop?

[SOLVED] Rooting SM-G530FZ

Hi guys!
About 2 months ago I bought a new smartphone: Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530FZ G530FZXXU1AOA3. Now I want to root it. I know I'll loose the warranty and I'm worried about bricking it. Has anyone successfully rooted this phone? I find some tutorials using ODIN and autoroot zip files. But they were for SM-G530F/SM-G530H/SM-G530BT. I hope you'll help me! Thanks!
Hi there,
I have SM-530FZ too, and I wait for answer too. But i think I will try to root this model. The only question I have is if root from there: autoroot.chainfire.eu "SM-G530F - KTU84P.G530FXXU1ANK2 - 4.4.4 will be good for this model.

There is no bootloop or something else? I read that some poeple have problems after that bootloop or everytime tehey restart phone phone enter in recovery mode.
Sorry for my bad english.
Don't worry about your English! I can understand! Now let's talk about our problem. Even 2 phones have the same name (G530FZ), the can have different baseband version (G530FZXXU1AOA3 for my Grand Prime).

Yes, I think so. Good luck! I'm waiting for the final answer!
Ok, few things. After root, i have one problem. If I want to restart my phone, android first show samsung screen with "Set Warranty Bit: recovery" and then load recovery. I dont know why. I must hit reboot system now in recovery, and then android load normally. So I decided to remove root in SuperSU. SuperSU remove root, but doesnt solved my problem. So i think i must hard reset my phone or download new rom.

Yea, Kingroot works perfectly. But i still have a same problem with recovery after reboot. I clear everything, I install new recovery and clean everything again. I disable KNOX with Kingroot and it still open recovery after reboot. Any solutions?

Not sure if you can do it that way but what i would do is downgrade back to kitkat and root using TowelRoot. Then flash this lollipop pre root using philz recovery.

Edit: sorted was Greenify. Must be a bit more efficient with the new os version as nothing was different from before

[Q] S5 Active Advice required please

Hi Folks
My partner has just got the S5 Active and she loves it..
But now she would like to update from 4.4.2.. Phone says she has latest rom so my questions are this
1)What is the latest official rom for the Active?
2)Whats the BEST root method?
3)What Custom roms are suitable?
3)Finally what is the best route to take to flash a CUSTOM rom?
looking forward to your responses
regards
Lohtse
1) Here you can find the latest TW stock rom:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Android Lollipop is available for the S5 Active. You can download the latest Firmware and flash it via Odin. You don't need root for that.
2) My preferred root method is flashing CF auto root via Odin. After that I install another recovery like TWRP
3) Nobody can answer that. Try and find it out (perform a full wipe incl cache before you install a custom rom)
4) This steps: root, recovery, full wipe, custom rom, and at least if you want and need that: custom kernel

Thank you for the help...
finally got it sorted after reading around 9-10 different guides... all of which had little bits missing
now she's a happy bunny with LP on her Active and I'm a tired old fart with droopy eyes!!!!!
Just need a custom recovery now!!
Congratulations! How you solved it?
Yeah recovery is the same problem. It exists no recovery for the G870A
Two things that I found that allowed me to sort the Active which was mentioned
firstly to allow Flashfire to work you had too set clock back past 1/15/15
and you had to also set flashfire to boot into download to allow you to flash the G870A_OC5_Bootloader.tar.md5 file via Odin on the pc.. once I did these it worked...
Just depends which guide you read to find a COMPLETE one....
Damn that sounds very tricky

Not really just no two guides the same.... soon as I noticed the minor differences it was easy.
1) root with towel root copy stock LP(rooted version)
2) Install and set date to 1/1/15 then open Flashfire
3)Flash Stock rooted LP using flashfire making sure you have flashfire set to boot to download when finished
4) open Odin PC and connect S5Active
5)Point Opins AP slot to location of the G870A_OC5_Bootloader.tar.md5 file
6) Flash and reboot and your done...
MAJOR issue was the flashfire issue once found issue and set it as stated above I was Up and running after 10minutes Just had spent 4 hours failing before I notice and figured out what the issues was...
Simple really.... Well it was in the end lol

What rom can I flash?

Note: I already tires flashing roms from this forum, none of them worked.
I have a sm g930v (Verizon snapdragon) and I've tried flashing some different roms including superman rom and others, but when I do, I get stuck in a bootloop. So I assume that those roms just don't click with my phone. Could anyone give me the name of a rom that could work? If you need it, some info on my phone can be found at imgur . com/gallery/VK2hH (couldn't attach via xda app, sorry)
Also, is a custom kernel something worth looking into? Because if it could improve my phones performance, that would be neat too.
Looking forward to any help I can get, thanks!?

I followed the instructions correctly, I rooted using that nougat eng boot and i used flashfire to wipe what the thread said, and i made sure the order was wipe, then rom flash, and when i hit the lightning bolt the phone restarted and i had a bunch of the white text, (what i assume is files being written to the system) and another reboot, the word flashfire is across the top of my screen for a good 3 mins, then a reboot and my s7 has the logo with the custom lock for custom firmware, and then it vibrates for like .2 seconds then reboots, then repeats to do that until i flash stock back.
I made sure to follow the steps correctly, but maybe I am doing something wrong...

Could the problem be that I flashed the rom from my internal SD? I downloaded it on my PC, since its like a gig, then uploaded it to google drive to download to my phone faster, and when i went to flash the rom i selected it from my internal storage/download. Should I move it to my external SD card? I think i read somewhere that i should have the firmware on my sd since the flashfire wipe clears the internal memory.
Alright I just flashed the rom again and it said it was installing and blah blah in flashfire and i thought it was going to work this time, but Im back in a bootloop. **** this rom, I'm so irritated. I followed the steps EXACTLY and put the .zip on my ext SD and im still getting bent.
Guess I have to try something else...
Sounds like you doing it right. last thing I can think to check... Did you get the "N" ROM from http://stang5litre-edition-roms.xobor.com/
or
The one posted for MM https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...t/stang5litre-edition-5-0-s7e-rom-s7-t3453441 see page 177 for "N Rom Is Live" link.
I'm out of ideas if all that checks out.
BTW I flash the ROM from Internal Storage too, I don't think thats the problem.
Not to sound mean, but if your looking for roms you should probably get a different phone. The few roms available to you are crippled by terrible battery life due to the engineer kernel. Stang's rom is good, but nothing can fix the battery. U firmware might be your best bet. Not trolling, just my opinion.
SM-G930V to Indian ROM
folks
i have "SM-G930V" fully official unlocked....can i flash Indian ROM on this, if YES, where and how can i do it?

Ignore all those video guides and just follow the guide from the TWRP thread. Yes wiping data means all your apps will be deleted. You can't get around this, and if you try to the device won't boot.
