I'm having the same issue, did you find a solution?
---------- Post added at 11:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:56 PM ----------
Nevermind, found the solution from op's thread

YES, I went back, on twrpnougat I reflasher (install b3xx) it restarted, on nougat, then I went to Parameter, Memory and Storage, default location, SD card.
Restart, in recovery TWRPNougat, install c432oeminfo.img, turn off the phone and flash Dload b161. Here is
Now I am that to retrieve phone, always default location, SD card ...
i'm VNS-L31c432bxxx

I have a hdc hd2(tmous) and I had partitioned my SD card with the CWM recovery for 2gbs, now I am down from 14.8gb to 12.9gb but I want to delete that partition and I cant seem to find anything that could help me. This is the guide that I followed to partition it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1185087. If I could get any help that would be much appreciated!

Simply flash windows mobile rom and format sd card from there. it'll get rid of the partition
then do a full format on thru your pc
You can use panasonic sd formatter www sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/eula

Hey there,
if you just want to delete that ext partition then use minitool partition wizard on
your pc. you can resize any partition with it.
---------- Post added at 07:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ----------
or you can format the whole card in cwm. but you will loose your data!
Thanks for the help! I dont think that I'd want to go through all that trouble for 2gbs, but this partition might be actually helpful, I will see to your suggestion though when I do want to delete it, thanks again for the help and the hassle!

If you want to totally clean your system, and then put in a new rom, do the following;
Upgrade your Thor CWM revovery to the latest. Tegraowners is the place to get the update.zip
Flash a normal flash. No wipes or anything.
Then. boot back to your new CWM recovery;
If you really want to remove EVERYTHING in Internal Memory, at this point, go to Backup and Restore. Select "Toggle backup and restore of internal storage (/data/media)". Enable this setting by selecting it. By default, it is disabled. Then proceed to the formatting steps. This will format the Entire Internal Memory when you proceed.
Select Go Back, Goto Mounts and Storage
1. Format System
2. Format Cache
3. Format Dalvik
4. Format Flexrom
This will totally wipe out and format your entire internal memory. Then flash your rom.
Should do what you want.
I suggest you copy the contents of this internal part to your SD or PC, in case you find you want to get something back.

Exactly. Flashing to the latest recovery, means you do not have to wipe anything. Just "select zip from SD"
Blow me down and call me shorty (please do not translate)
None of that will touch /sdcard though. That's where all the large additional downloads (i.e. gameloft) go along with user data, pics, and such. Anything there can be deleted but I'd do it manually just to ensure you don't delete something you wanted to keep, and only right before flashing a new ROM.
You can also go into "settings", "storage", "misc", and delete from there. This is where all the [email protected] will be.

I use the Typhoon rom too. And used it without flashing anything else for about 4 months .
Anyways, this rom already comes with an a2sd script. U dont need link2sd. The default script in the rom mounts the ext partition. I suggest u uninstall link2sd, and try rebooting. But i think people will probably have better suggestions

[Q] my first smart phone

i just got my first smart phone
its samsung galaxy y
now the first thing i want to do it root it so that i can have some fun
so last night i did a little research about advantages & dis advantages of rooting
& i found that if rooting is not done perfectly it can convert my phone into brick
i mean it will become useless
is that true ??
& i have some more questions
we all know that galaxy y suck
low ram , low internal memory , old android version
after rooting i can increase everything but its safe ???
using a part of sd card as ram , as internal & external memory at same time ????
m not sure its safe or not
& even if its save what class SD card should a buy ???
i am thinking to but a 16 GB class 10 sanddisk micro sd card is it ok ???
& the partition will be
m assuming that 14 Gb will be usable space
i will use 4 GB as ram , 5 GB as internal & will use left space as external storage
is that possible ??
Yes it is possible. I think you should buy 16 gb class 10 sd card remember class 10 sd card. Dont worry all galaxy y models supports 32 gb sd card also.
* for increasing your ram go here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2321149 it works with all galaxy y models.
For increasing your internal memory go here- http://rootmyandroid.org/increase-internal-memory-phone.html it also works with all galaxy y models.
** but for doing all these must be rooted.

It's a bug in the kernel if you are using the cm7 kernel
It shows system is mounted when it's not
Unmount system and remount system
Make sure you format system then mount system
-Unmount system and mount it again
However as you are flashing hyperion 9 which is stock based you should be using a stock based kernel
Either way the reason why it only flashes for 1 sec is because system is not mounted
If system is mounted it will display "Unmount System"
If it says "Mount System" select it so it changes to "Unmount System"

Rooting gone wrong on G950F

I just received my S8 G950F and of course like everyother phone I've had I rooted it ( using CF-Auto-Root-dreamlte-dreamltexx-smg950f.tar) and then twrp-3.1.0-1 followed by no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.
When I go into recovery I get the can't mount storage, failed to mount /data (invalid arguement) messages.
If I boot to system I get past the boot screen and to another that says Verification failed.
Can anyone please help out while I wait for the firmware to download.
Thanks in advance
Try to wipe everything in recovery and then install the root and no verify.. it should work
